Chapter 4

Healing Up

Kagome after a couple of hours of riding on Ah-Un, fell asleep. Rin followed shortly after along with Jaken. Sesshomaru was the only one awake now. “Weak humans.” He said to no one impreticular. “Hey Sesshomaru….Kagome whispered quietly. Sesshomaru didn't answer but looked her way to let her know he was listening. “Why are you letting me come with you, I mean, its not like we are friends or anything so…why…is what I want to know??” Sesshomaru answered carefully “Rin wishes for you to come it is that simple.” “But what if Rin wasn't here would you still have saved me?” she asked. She thought she saw a tiny bit of emotion flicker across his eyes, but it went away just as quickly as it came. “I suppose. I wouldn't have let my brother kill you and get away with it….” He answered coldly, when he caught the despised scent of salt water. Kagome wiped away a solitary tear. “Thanks Sesshomaru…” was all she said. They reached their destination two hours of silence later. The Western Lords castle. They landed and before Kagome had a chance to admire the beauty of the castle she screamed with excruciating pain. Rin woke up in alarm with her hands quickly soaked in blood. `It seems she tried to get up too fast.' Sesshomaru knew that when he revived her with Tensagia her wounds would not heal, she merely would come back to life. “Kagome what is the matter?” A curious Rin asked. But then a firm cold voice stopped the noise. “Rin.” Sesshomaru interrupted “Go and tell Chie that she needs to prepare a room and get her supplies. Jaken you will assist her.”

Two answers came “Yes My Lord.” And “Yes mi'lord.” And the sound of scurrying feet was heard before the opening and slamming of a large door. Kagome was clutching one of her biggest wounds…the one she got from the Wind Scar it was bleeding profusely. “Can you stand?” Sesshomaru asked. “I-I-I m-might…”Kagome stuttered. She got to her feet but only to fall on her butt again. “I guess that would be a `no' Sesshomaru.” “Very well.” He said before walking over to her and picked her up bridal style. Receiving a yelp of surprise from Kagome, he carried her into the castle. While he was walking up the stairs Kagome fell asleep. He carried her to the bedroom that was prepared. He set her on the bed and brushed her bangs away from her face just as the nurse, Chie came in. “Chie, make sure that her wounds are wrapped well and changed every few hours. Alright?” “Yes Lord Sesshomaru-sama!” When he walked out of the room Chie shut the door and got to work. `Such wounds for a human, I wonder how she survived it all.' She thought as she cleaned her wounds and wrapped them with clean white gauze. Once she finished she buttoned up her strange kimono and left.

*8 hours later*

Kagome woke up to a cool liquid being rubbed on her wounds. “Ah, I see you're up. I was starting to wander…”A middle aged fox demon said. “Who are you?” Kagome asked. When the woman was done wrapping her wounds, “I am Chie, Lord Sesshomaru's head nurse of the castle. He requested that I treat your wounds and take care of you Lady Kagome.” She answered respectfully. “Lady Kagome? I am not royalty Chie there is no need to call me Lady!!” “Ah, but once again at Lord Sesshomaru's request we are to call you Lady Kagome.” “Where is Sesshomaru?” Kagome asked. “Oh that's right, I completely forgot. Lord Sesshomaru wanted you to join him and Lady Rin for breakfast.” “Alright. Thank you for telling me Chie.” Kagome called as she walked out the door. She walked down the hall until she saw the stairs she recognized from last night. She walked down them and ran into a servant. “Where is the dining room?” Kagome asked. “To the left.” He said. “Thanks.” She said as she turned left into one of the most beautiful dining rooms she had ever seen. “Kagome-sama, come sit by me!” Rin squeaked. Kagome pulled up a chair next to Rin and took a seat. “I am glad to see you have awoken. Sesshomaru greeted. “Glad to be awake!!” Kagome answered cheerfully as some breakfast was placed in front of her. She didn't gorge her food, but simply picked up something with her chopsticks and ate it whether it was good or bad, on account of how hungry she was. “Sesshomaru thank you for your hospitality but I have to go...” “Go where??” “Home!”

OOOO!!! CLIFFY CLIFFY CLIFFY!! Well I have written 4 chapters today so I will do some more tomorrow on Memorial Day. Anyway Fluffy is soooo sweet…but what will he do when Kagome tells her where she lives. MWA HA HA HA!! OK another thing DO NOT READ THIS STORY IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO REVIEW!!! Thanks!!!
