Regrets

“Damnit, Damnit, Damnit!!” Inuyasha shouted as he hit a large boulder and shattered it in the process. “Kagome, you died at my hands I don't deserve to live….” He cried out. ` “I love you Inuyasha” ' Her words were ringing in his head. “Inuyasha you must stop doing this, destroying what's left of this mountain isn't going to bring Kagome back.” Mirkou said as he showed up out of nowhere. “No Mirkou let me do whatever I want…you would never understand how I feel right now…” Inuyasha shouted back. “But my friend I know exactly how you feel….” “NO YOU DON'T MONK!! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL RIGHT NOW…..” He screamed as his eyes flashed a deadly red. “YOU DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T KILL HER….YOU DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL MIRKOU...BECAUSE RIGHT NOW ALL I FEEL IS GUILT!!!!” Mirkou, Sango, and Shippo stood there speechless. Finally after what seemed like hours someone broke the silence. “Inuyasha…I saw the look on Kagome-okaa when she fell…It was flooded with relief and forgiveness. SHE WAS FORGIVVING YOU INUYASHA……AND SHE WAS RELIEVED SHE BROKE KIKYOU'S CURSE OVER YOU BEFORE SHE DIED. She wouldn't want you like this Inuyasha. If KAOGME could forgive YOU…….CAN YOU FORGIVE YOURSELF!?!?!?!” Shippo screamed at the top of his lungs. Now it was Inuyasha's turn to be silent…his eyes turned their beautiful amber-gold again. He dropped to his knees and for the second time in his life he did something he said he would never do again. He cried. Tears flooded from his scarred eyes. “Y-You-Your right Shippo, if Kagome could forgive me….a-an-and if you guys can forgive me…I'll manage to forgive myself…” He stuttered out. Mirkou walked over to Inuyasha and put a comforting hand on his friends shoulder. “Inuyasha, my friend, how could we not forgive you?”

Sango and Shippo nodded in agreement. “Meow.” Was the answer from Kirara. Inuyasha slowly dried his tears and regained his composure. “There's a jewel shard rumor saying that a dragon demon is destroying a village not too far from here. Inuyasha, are you up to it?” “Keh….” Inuyasha said half heartedly “What do I look like to you Mirkou a human…” Mirkou answered “Well no…but you need sleep like the sleep just like the rest of us.” “Keh!” Inuyasha said before returning to Kaede's hut to rest up for battle.
