Hey guys. I decided to redo and repost this story…again lol. Oh and FYI this is the sequel to A Demon’s Love. It starts off exactly where the other story left off. Hope you enjoy. ^_^
A New Future
Chapter 1: The Strangers Appear
“You didn’t have to do that you know” said a very grumpy Inuyasha. “You shouldn’t have hit Shippo” replied Kagome. “Yeah Inuyasha” said Shippo in a sarcastic manner. “So where are we headed first” asked Miroku. Before anyone had the chance to answer, a man covered in blood ran over to Kagome and grabbed her shirt. “Please you have to help us, don’t let the demon kill us.” The man fell to his knees still holding onto Kagomes’s shirt. “Where’s the demon” said Inuyasha in a voice ready for action. Letting go of Kagome’s shirt, the man pointed to a trail leading into the forest as he took his last breath. Then he fell into a pool of his own blood.
“Let’s go” said Inuyasha as he led his friends down the trail. The trail eventually led to a small village in the clearing of the forest. “It’s so quiet” said Sango. She began gripping her weapon, ready to use it if necessary. “Look at all the bodies” said Shippo as he jumped to Kagome’s shoulder. “What kind of demon did this” said Miroku. “Look” Kagome pointed to a body which appeared to be moving. The gang rushed over, finding it to be a small child. Kagome picked the child up a cradled him in her arms. The boy slowly opened his eyes and began to speak. “Why…Lady Kikyo” he said looking up at Kagome, “Why did you send it” He then closed his eyes. “Kikyo did all of this” said Miroku with confusion. Kagome laid the boy’s body down and drew her bow and arrow. “I sense a sacred jewel shard” Kagome turned. “Right there” she said firing her arrow. Out of nowhere, Kikyo appeared and dodged the arrow. “Very good Kagome. You sensed my location. I’m impressed” “Tell me why you slaughtered these people” Kagome said pulling out another arrow preparing to attack again “It’s very simple, I needed the bodies and blood for my ritual” “What ritual” said Inuyasha. Kikyo put her hands together and began to chant a spell. As she did the sky turned dark and began to fill with lightning. Kikyo finished. “Not long now Inuyasha, I will have my revenge! He will return more powerful then ever and he will kill all of you” Kikyo began laughing manically as the wind began to pick up. “Who will return” yelled Miroku. “Naraku you stupid fool” answered Kikyo. “LIKE HELL HE WILL” a figure in a black cape appeared out of nowhere knocking Kikyo to the ground. The figure was quickly joined by three others.
Kikyo got to her feet and began laughing like there was no tomorrow. “You’re too late. He’s here” A large bolt of lighting hit the ground just in front of the four unknown figures, causing them to fall to the ground. Miroku began to scream in pain as a dark light began erupting from his palm. “Miroku what’s wrong” yelled Sango as she made her way to him. He began wrapping his sacred beads around his wrist. “It’s the wind tunnel…it’s back” As the wind began to settle, all that remained was a thick cloud of dust where the lightening had struck. “Damn” said one of the unknown four “We’re too late”
As the smoked cleared a man appeared next to Kikyo. “Now for my revenge Inuyasha” said Kikyo as she shoved three jewel shards into the mans back. A dark purple light erupted around the man. A familiar evil laugh caused everyone to fill a chill down their spine. “I have returned” said Naraku. His eyes set on Inuyasha. “Not for long” said one of the four unknown. Unsheathing what looked like the Tetsusaiga, they swung at Naraku. The blade hit a force field with such force, that it sent the person fling back several feet. “ Come Kikyo” said Naraku as he took Kikyo’s hand. “We have much work to do” A cloud of smoke surrounded the two as they disappeared. Inuyasha and the gang, still in shock, now had their eyes fixed on the four unknown people who now were fighting.
“I told you we should have left sooner” said the first in a male voice. “oh don’t blame me, I’m the one who said we should have gone back farther” said a female voice. “Oh don’t even act innocent miss-stops-to-fix-her-hair-when-we-got-out-of-the-well” said another male voice. “Um hello who was the one who woke up late because he spent the entire night out doing who knows what with every girl within a mile” said a new female voice. “Hey guys have needs” “Oh shut up” “HEY KNOCK IT OFF” the four turned to Inuyasha. “Tell us who you are”
