"Don't touch me!" she whispered and the boy inched closer.

"Kagome please, I didn't mean to hit you really I didn't!" he pleaded.

"Leave me alone Inuyasha!" she cried as she leapt to her feet. As soon as her feet hit the ground she took off running in the direction she faced. Little did she realize that she was running the opposite way from the Well. She did not care all she kept seeing was the horrible scene that had taken place not moments ago replaying in her head.

**Flashback**

"Inuyasha I'll be back in a few hours," Kagome pleaded with the demon to let her return to her time.

"No way wench we have to find the jewel shards!" growled Inuyasha.

Kagome tried to side step him but he grabbed her arm, spun her around, and slapped her hard across the face. When Kagome looked up she had four long cut marks across her cheek where Inuyasha's claws had broken the skin.

"Kagome I…" Inuyasha did not finish his sentence.

**End Flashback**

Kagome ran until her legs gave out. When she finally quit running she was in a clearing. The strange thing about the clearing was there was no noise. There was nothing.

"Hello," said a cold vaguely familiar voice.
