InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A New Sibling ❯ Takahashi Museum... ( Chapter 29 )
Right, I've tried my best to make this chapter longer, but I don't know if it is, and I honestly don't care.
Media Miner finally let me see the reviews, but that only happens every so often…if you were wondering what happened to my replies to your reviews, then be assured, I'm no longer doing that. If you have questions, email me. Okay? Okay. Woah! O.O' Been quite a while, hasn't it? I'm sorry! I've just been doing school work and my other stories are just so much easier to update!
Nice idea, though, girls! -^^- I think I'll use that one! Okay, on with the chapter!!!
One more thing: I know that Kuzume's eyes are different than what I say, but in my opinion, she needs emerald green eyes like Shippo, so :P It's my story and I'll write it how I want!

Kagome ran as fast as she could, up the stairs, down the hall, toward the front doors where a group of flesh-rending demons would be waiting for her that would be at her aid in moments. But before she could reach the end of the hallway one of the girls caught up with her, grabbed her wrist and yanked her into a nearby side-hall. As she opened her mouth to scream she suddenly found Ayumu's familiar face in front of hers and a hand over her mouth.
"What in Sam-Hell do you think you're doing," she yelled in a hushed voice, slowly lowering her hand from Kagome's mouth.
"What am I doing? What are you two doing here," Kagome whispered back.
"What does it look like we're doing," Suzuka asked in a bored voice. "Obviously, Ayumu got herself into trouble again, and for the fourth time this week I might add."
"Shut up," Ayumu yelled at her, turning away from Kagome to face Suzuka fully. "It wasn't my fault!"
"Just like the car wreck, the shoot-out, and the grocery-store incident," Suzuka shot back at her.
"I said shut up!"
"Calm down," Kagome said, taking a deep breath and walking in between them. "Are you two from this time?"
"You're referring to your time-traveling, right," Ayumu asked.
"Yeah, because I'm confused. You two are waiting outside with Aura, Sesshoumaru, Kuzume and InuYasha right now!"
"We are," they asked in unison.
"Yes, so you two are from this time?"
"Yeah, Ayumu just got caught up in some trouble and I came to bail her out…..again," Suzuka said, glaring at Ayumu.
"Can we discuss this later," Ayumu asked hotly. "I think we should let Kagome get back before they…or…we…or…whoever gets suspicious. But we can't be seen."
"Right, that could cause some serious problems in the past if we see ourselves," Suzuka pointed out.
"I'll get back to you two later," Kagome said, edging her way to the main hallway. "Where can I meet you?"
"How about the Duklyon Café," Ayumu suggested.
"No, it's not open this week," Suzuka reminded her.
"Oh, yeah, well, how about Aniki's place?"
"That would be good! Meet us at the Takahashi Museum on the other side of town, okay," Suzuka asked, watching as Kagome started to walk off.
"Right, I'll see you there in about five hours!"
With that she took off for the doors and the awaiting demons outside.
"Lady Kagome," Aura exclaimed, "what took you?"
"Huh?"
"You left and said to wait for you out here. What took you so long to get here," he asked.
"Oh, I found some old friends," she said, thinking that she wasn't exactly lying. "I told them that I'd meet them in a few hours. So, let's go home and get you guys comfortable, okay?"
They began walking back home, again grating their teeth at the gawking humans they passed.

"Please, Aniki," Ayumu begged. "We told her we would meet her here in five hours! If we're not here, she won't be able to find us!"
"You never elaborated on who `she' is," he shot back.
"'She' happens to be Higurashi Kagome," Suzuka said, stepping into the room.
"What? How can that be? She died over 400 years ago," Sesshoumaru said, finally turning away from the crate of artifacts to face them.
"She used to time travel, remember," Ayumu told him. "She's originally from this time, but traveled to the Feudal Era over 550 years ago."
"That's right," he said, leaning on the table behind him. "So, why did you pick here of all places to meet her?"
"It's got a certain kind of class to it," Suzuka teased.
"We couldn't think of anywhere else at the time, she had to go meet us…or…grr…this time-travel confuses me," Ayumu grumbled, scratching some of the caked blood out of her hair.
"You mean, this is the time when we visited her time," Sesshoumaru asked eagerly, standing up straight again.
"Yeah, our past selves were waiting outside for her, so she had to go," Ayumu informed him.
"I would love to meet the Miko Higurashi again. It has been so long," he said, a friendly light in his eyes.
"Well, we didn't exactly get to talk with her…..at all," Ayumu told him, sounding very down trodden.
"Like we said, she was in a hurry, and we, um, draggedherintoanarrowsidehallwaybecausewethoughtshewasaspyorsomething," Suzuka said as quickly as she could in one breath.
"You what," they heard Kuzume yell as she entered the room behind the two girls. "Who's a spy? Who are you talking about?"
"Eh, Lady Miko Higurashi Kagome," Sesshoumaru told her as he wrapped his arms around her waist and nuzzled his face into her neck.
Ayumu and Suzuka looked at each other and made gagging faces before turning back with innocent smiles when Sesshoumaru cleared his throat.
"What time are we to expect them here," he asked, still glaring at them.
"In about four or five hours, she still has to get us situated at her house, remember," Suzuka asked. "Then she'll meet us here."
"That sounds great," Kuzume exclaimed, squirming out of Sesshoumaru's arms and to the doorway. "I'll go home and freshen up. I've been working in dusty closets all day and I don't want to smell like something that's a million years old that's been sitting in moth balls."
With that she left the three standing in the room with crates looming overhead.
"I suppose I'll finish up here, then go do the same," Sesshoumaru said, turning back to the crate behind him.
"We'll go walk around the museum then hang around town," Ayumu said, motioning to Suzuka to move toward the door. "We'll be back in about three hours!"
"See you then," Suzuka added, disappearing through the doorway.
"We should call the twins," Ayumu whispered once they were outside of the museum. "Kagome would love to see them!"
"And Aura," Suzuka suggested, "he'd love to see her as well. And we haven't seen him in a few decades."

The group just got back from the store where they had spent the last hour or so picking out new clothes for all the demons of the group to wear while they were staying. Kagome showed them all around the house, explaining all of the modern conveniences and telling them what they could and couldn't touch. Sesshoumaru seemed to be getting annoyed, and Ayumu and Suzuka had lost interest after the prolonged tour of the kitchen.
After they were finally done, Kagome showed them each where they would be sleeping. Being appalled at the thought of sleeping in Souta's room, Sesshoumaru, InuYasha, and Aura were to sleep downstairs in the living room while Kuzume, Ayumu, and Suzuka slept in Kagome's room.
As they all sat in the living room talking, Ms. Higurashi came in, carrying a tall stack of pizza boxes. When she entered the room, Aura jumped up and took the entire stack from her.
"You shouldn't walk while something's obscuring your vision," he told her when she tried to protest.
She smiled and thanked him, telling him to just put them on the coffee table in the middle of the room. Curiosity piqued, Sesshoumaru and InuYasha instantly began opening boxes and sniffing the contents.
"What is it," Sesshoumaru asked, making a disgusted face as InuYasha crammed an entire slice in his mouth and swallowed.
"It's pizza," Kagome said as she picked up her own slice and began to eat.
One by one the others in the room began to eat their own slices and go back for seconds. Souta ran down the stairs after Ms. Higurashi called and Grandpa came not too long afterwards. Everyone was eating while Ayumu sat back, ignoring them, and Sesshoumaru just continued to make disgusted faces as InuYasha continuously shoved his mouth full of pizza.
"Oh, Gods," Kagome yelled, looking at her watch and jumping up, "I'm so sorry; I have to go! I forgot I was meeting my friends at the museum!"
Kagome quickly made her way to the door, waving to everyone as some continued to eat. "I'll be back in a few hours, bye!"

"She's late," Sesshoumaru grumbled, sitting in the chair closest to him.
"We didn't specify a time; we just said in about five hours," Ayumu argued. "She'll be here soon."
"You're sure it was her," Kuzume asked, standing behind Sesshoumaru and playing with his ears.
"Of course we are," Suzuka said, not taking her eyes off the front doors.
"She's here," Ayumu said rushing to open the doors.
A few moments later, Kagome walked in, looking around like she was lost. She spotted Suzuka and rushed over.
"Hello! I'm sorry I'm late and I'm just glad you waited up," Kagome exclaimed, giving both Suzuka and Ayumu brief hugs.
"That's quite alright, Lady Miko Higurashi Kagome."
"I know that voice," Kagome said, looking around Ayumu's shoulders to where Sesshoumaru and Kuzume were standing. "Sesshoumaru?! Kuzume?! You guys are here too?!"
"We are," Sesshoumaru stated, walking up to her.
Kagome ran up to him and slung her arms around his shoulders, then moved to do the same to Kuzume. "I'm so glad to see that you're all alright!"
"So, happy that we were continued in `all'," she heard two voices say in unison in the back of the room.
"Quiet, brats," she heard another familiar voice say, followed by two whacking sounds.
She walked past Sesshoumaru and Kuzume to find Aura and two unfamiliar demons standing in the back. She ran up and hugged Aura, then turned to the two identical demons next to him.
"I would include you in `all', but I don't know who you are," Kagome told them truthfully. "Should I?"
"She doesn't remember us," the boy on the left told the other.
"I can't believe it," the boy on the right told his brother.
"Onaji, Buhin, she wouldn't remember you," Sesshoumaru called from the other side of the room. "She has not been to the time after your birth yet!"
"What," Kagome asked, spinning around to face him.
"Oh, should we tell her," Kuzume asked Sesshoumaru, looking up into his eyes.
Sesshoumaru nodded slightly, still watching the twins to make sure they didn't misbehave.
"Kagome," Kuzume said anxiously, walking behind the twin boys, "this is Onaji," she motioned to the boy on the left and he bowed slightly, "and this is Buhin," she motioned to the one on the right and he bowed just the same.
Kagome bowed back to them each in turn, noticing the only obvious difference between them. Onaji's right eye was emerald green while his right was golden yellow. Buhin's on the other-hand were completely opposite, green on the left and yellow on the right. They were both as tall as Kagome if not a few inches taller and had silver-white hair with a few strands of fiery red pulled back in low ponytails. They each had a lankly, frail form that looked as if she could snap them between her fingers.
"These are our twin boys," Kuzume stated with a wide grin.
Kagome gawked at her. "'Our' as in you and Sesshoumaru's and `our twin boys' as in you two had kids," she asked with her mouth wide open.
"Yes," Kuzume told her, grin widening, "they will be turning 17 next month!"
She ruffled their hair and laughed at the moan she received from both of them.
"We didn't know where to get in contact with Shippo," Ayumu told her, moving up behind her.
"But we figured it would blow your mind enough to see these two," Suzuka told her, leaning on the twins' shoulders.
"Get off," they yelled in unison, throwing her elbows off and moving away from her.
Kagome noted the feminine look that they obviously inherited from their father. `They must get teased at school a lot,' she thought, turning back to Sesshoumaru.
"When did you get your hair cut," she asked as he ran a clawed hand through the short main of hair.
It had all been chopped off and spiked. It was about two or three inches long in most places and looked like most of the modern hair styles.
"It's been cut for a while," he told her. "I just figured that I might as well get with the times, but I guess I haven't quite accomplished that," he said with a laugh, motioning at the artifacts surrounding them.
"What," Kagome asked, looking around the room.
"Takahashi Museum belongs to the Takahashi family," Kuzume said.
"You mean, you own this place," Kagome asked astonished.
"The one and only Takahashi family in the vicinity of Tokyo," Onaji told her.
"The one and only Takahashi family that owns a museum," Buhin joked.
