Hiya everyone this is kagome_higurashi_jewel_detector90, also known as Chelsea, reporting for duty. Now give me some credit this is my first InuYasha story so I might not be that good okay.

Kagome: You'll do fine really.

Inuyasha: Feh.. She'll probably mess up by the end of the first paragraph.

Chelsea: You know Inu if that rosey wasn't only for Kags I would have sat you for that.

Kagome: Oh no worries I'll handle that. Sit boy!

Inu: !FACEPLANT! Grrr...

Chelsea: Well anyways I don't own anything of Inuyasha. I wish though. Well I hope you enjoy the story so R&R.

Chapter 1: The Start of a New Beginning

“KAGOME!” Yelled the voice of Inuyasha as the teenaged girl fell unconious to the ground by the powerful force Naraku put on her. “Grrr... Your going to pay for that you baster.” He growled at the slimy demon he was battling.

“Shippo stay with Kagome make sure that Naraku doesn't go anywhere near her!” Sango ordered the little fox demon. Then she turned to the enemy holding her boomerang (A/N Sorry I just started getting into this about a month ago. So I dunno what the proper name for it is. If anyone wants to help with that please either IM me or email me.) high above her head. She threw it as hard as she could tords Naraku knocking to human looking part off the rest off his body.

“BACKLASH WAVE!” Yelled Inuyasha slashing his tetsusiga at him. Suddenly there was a large blast. Inuyasha quickly got over to Kagome and, covered her before the blast could destroy her as well.

There was a long loud earthquake type sound come from where Naraku once stood, and a bright blue light appeared. Finally in light vanished, but what was left were a half of the Shikon no Tama. Miroku looked down and his left palm and slowly the wind tunnel in his hand disappeared. “H-He's dead. For real this time.” He muttered.

“You mean he gone?” Shippo piped up. Miroku nodded in return.

Inuyasha had lifted up and looked at the still unconious Kagome. “Kagome... wake up please...” He muttered under his breath. Suddenly, as if she heard her eyes fluttered open. She looked up at him and grinned slightly. “Ka-Kagome... your awake.” He breathed looking at her care in his eyes.

She nodded slightly. “Excellent battle Inuyasha. We won... and now you may turn into the full demon you want to become.” She said lightly to him. Inuyasha looked up as Sango brought over the half of the jewel. He took it and looked at it his mind spinning as Kagome sat up and took out the other half. “You won the battle and now you deserve the reward.” She pressed the half in his hand. “Here.”

Inuyasha stared at the two halves, he was still unsure of what to do. `No I can't become full demon if I do. I may kill without wanting to. No I have a better idea.' He thought and put the to halves together as he did the jewel glowed. He then put it in his mouth, but instead of growing longer fangs and claws, they shrank. His hair also became midnight black and the puppy ears that were once on his head disappeared and human ears replaced them.

He looked at Kagome with his gentile grey eyes and smiled. Kagome gasped and stared. “Inu... Inuyasha? I thought that...” She began. But he shook his head and silenced her.

“No Kagome. I didn't want to become full demon, but a human so I can stay with you.” He told her softly grinning. She began to smile in return and pulled him into a hug which he returned.

Sango was smiling at the two, but suddenly felt a not so unusual feeling on her backside. “MIROKU!” She yelled and backhanded him across the face. “How many times do I have to say keep your hands to yourself!”

“Oh but my dear Sango I was only making sure that you were okay.” He said rubbing the red hand print on his cheek.

“On my backside! I don't think so.” She yelled back at him.

Inuyasha and Kagome sweatdropped. “Miroku will never learn.” Kagome exclaimed.

“You can say that again. But oh well let's just look forward to the new beginning.” He told her with his famous grin.

Well how was it? I hope you guys liked it. Ya I know it alittle short but I typed this at 10:00 PM so ya. Anyways review and tell me what you think.

Inuyasha: I didn't think it was that bad really

Kags: You mean you liked it!

Inu: Well ya.

Kags: -Has a amazed look on her face.-
