Chapter 1 - The Growing Years

(Five Years Later)

Sango neatly unfolded a small pink kimono.

"Maiyu, hold still," Miroku said while trying to catch his hyper active little girl.

"Maiyu, come here," Sango shouted down the hall. Maiyu stopped for a second. Miroku thought he caught her and was just about to grab her when she began to sprint again. Trying very hard to stop he crashed into the wall.

"Ow..."

"Maiyu...what have I told you about doing that?" Sango asked pulling the small child into her lap.

"Not to make daddy crash into a wall, I know! I know!" Maiyu smiled slyly.

"Okay...now I want you to behave. Some friends of ours are coming today," Sango looked at Maiyu with a look saying 'behave-or-else' and pulled off the dirty robe on her daughter. She slipped on the pink kimono and tied it with a neat bow.

"Why? Who's coming?" Maiyu asked with a cute grin. Her eyes sparkled.

"Oh, Inuyasha, Kagome, and their son. Miroku who else is coming?" Sango asked placing Maiyu's hair into a bun.

"Well..." Miroku replied walking in, "Koga and Ayame, Shippo and Rin, and if I'm not mistaken Kaede," Miroku sat down and took a good look at his daughter. "Well, you look more like your mother everyday, and I can sense Inuyasha coming this way." Sango placed a jade hairpin shaped like a flower into Maiyu's hair.

"The food is ready, I hope."

"Yes."

(Outisde the village)

"What's mutt face doing here?" Koga asked watching Inuyasha walking in.

"Who's that dad?" Kenoga asked.

"Never mind...go for Sango's child if it's a girl..." Koga replied and smiled.

"Koga! Don't even think of starting another war!" Ayame yelled in his ear.

"Dad look! It's so big!" Saiyuri said walking into the village.

"Wolf boy."

"Mutt face."

"Inuyasha, Koga, be nice!" Kagome scolded and turned to Sango who stepped out wearing a red and white kimono.

"Hey Kagome!" Sango ran to her friend. Kagome hugged Sango happily. Kagome wore a simple red Kimono.

"How have you been? How has Maiyu been? And do I have to ask about Miroku?" Kagome smiled at him, and noticed his hand wandering. He earned himself a slap, everyone laughed.

"Damon, get out here."

"Yes mom," a young male voice moaned. Maiyu stepped out from behind Miroku who still wore his monks outfit.

"Hi," she said and looked at Damon.

"Mom! Do I have to?!" Damon asked, obviously grossed out about something.

"Yes!" Kagome snapped.

"Fine, nice to meet you Maiyu," Damon moaned and kissed her hand.

"Ew! What did you do that for?!" Maiyu asked grossed out.

"It's polite!" Damon snapped back.

"Son...hurry, he might get the girl!" Koga wispered to Kenoga. The boy quickly went up and put a light kiss to her cheek.

"EW!" Maiyu pushed the boy away angrily and noticed the female version of him. "What's your name?" Maiyu asked.

"Saiyuri..." she replied timidly.

"Mines Maiyu. Let's go play!" Maiyu pulled Saiyuri off to another part of the hut Sango and Miroku had. It was very large with lots of room for guests. A food preperation room, and a healing room.

"Come in," Sango usherd the adults and rest of children inside. Kenoga, and Damon started to laugh at Maiyu right away.

"She was so wimpy! HA HA!" Damon laughed.

"Yeah...it's so fun freaking girls out!" Kenoga laughed and rolled around on the floor.

"Children...come for some food!" Ayame yelled causing all the kids to rush into the dining room.

"Move it!" Damon yelled pushing Maiyu out of the way.

"No you move!" Maiyu yelled back and kicked him in the gut. Sango, Miroku, Kagome, and Inuyasha laughed.

Kaede showed up after a long dinner having already eaton, Shippo and Rin turned up last.

(Five years later When the kids are ten)

Sango, Miroku and Maiyu made their way to Inuyasha and Kagome's hut. Damon was currently wrestling with Kenoga when they saw a very ticked off Maiyu come up to them and kick them hard.

"What was that for?!" Damon and Kenoga asked just as Saiyuri kicked them. "HEY!"

"You shouldn't have wrecked our best kimono's by clawing them, and besides, it's fun!" Both girls laughed. They were tackled to the ground. Damon ontop of Maiyu, Kenoga on top of his sister.

"Ha!" Damon laughed. He was pushed off against a tree.

"HA!" Maiyu laughed and ran into the hut.

"Children, please..." Kaede moaned.

"Sorry Lady Kaede..we were just playing," Maiyu apolgized and bowed polietly.

"Maiyu, were you fighting with Damon again?" Sango asked brushing her off.

"Maybe..." Maiyu grinned.

"Ugh...go outside, and be careful not to get hurt," Sango smiled and kissed her on the head.

"DAMON SUCKS!" Maiyu yelled and climbed a tree.

"You wish!" Maiyu glared daggers at Damon and jumped down landing on him.

"Thanks for being my landing pad," Maiyu grinned as they tackled each other to the ground and began to pull each others hair.

"I'll beat you yet!!!!" Damon yelled.

"NO! I'm getting trained as demon slayer tomorrow! I'll kick your butt!" Maiyu yelled back.

As everyone headed back home, Maiyu and Damon shot insult after insult at each other.
