Chapter 6 - Revenge Isn't Always Sweet

Kagome drew in a breath. She stood up and walked outside.

"Kagome!" Sango greeted, "Are you ok?"

"I feel great! Like a million bucks!" Kagome smiled and was greeted by Inuyasha who openly opened part of her kimono to see if the scar was there. No scar.

"Wow, my blood has helped you a lot," Inuyasha seemed impressed.

"Yeah, it has," Kagome smiled. "How's Maiyu?"

"Damon's with her now, Saiyuri and Kenoga went home, and Kaede went to gather herbs," Inuyasha replied.

"You still didn't answer my question," Kagome hissed.

"She's fine. It's just that side wound keeping her down," Inuyasha replied. He lost this fight.

"You know you don't have to keep an eye on me! I'll stay in bed," Maiyu moaned in annoyance.

"Yeah...well, if I know you, you'll try and get up from bed and make that side worse," Damon grinned. He did know her well.

"Yeah...maybe, but you can't keep an eye on me the whole time," Maiyu grinned. Another point for her.

"Yes...but there are others," Damon smirked. Another point for him.

"I can run away." Another point for Maiyu.

"Okay...okay! You win this round. It's not over yet. It must be boring being in here all day and night. Is it?" Maiyu thought about the question presented to her.

"Well...it is. You get stuck in bed and there's nothing to do but count the dust that appears on the floor. Could you sneak me outta here for a bit?" Maiyu looked at Damon.

"I'll...I um...here my dad calling." He got up and was at the door when:

"Daddy's boy."

"Hey!"

"It's true."

"Mommy's girl."

"Where do you think I get my attitude from?" Maiyu grinned.

"Fine...how do you always drag me into your twisted little plots?" Damon asked.

"Hm...good question. I got no answer to it, my charm is the only thing that drags you in."

"You wish."

"So do you," Maiyu and Damon glared daggers at each other.

'Almost time...but it's so boring,' the figure sighed and swung the slender legs in the tree being careful not to make a sound. 'He he! Yay! Soon!'

"Do you sense that?" Miroku asked, "There is a cloud of evil heading this way."

"Yeah, someone's here that's not welcome. I say we attack now," Inuyasha stated with a deep voice that could send shivers down your spine.

"No. Not yet. We make a plan," Kagome replied. Sango changed into her armour.

"Yes. But what about Maiyu? She can't fight yet," Sango sighed. "She'd be in more danger than us."

Little did they know Damon and Maiyu snuck off to the hot springs.

"Hey! Don't watch me take my clothes off!" Maiyu yelled.

"Sorry, I was just curious. What's under a woman's garments?" Damon looked Maiyu over, 'Damn! She's matured in more ways than one!'

"What are you looking at? Hey! Don't you look at me like that!" Maiyu threw her sword at him. He dodged just in time.

"Shit! What did you do that for wench?" Damon asked, his left eye twitched nervously.

"You were picturing me naked weren't you?" Maiyu hated when guys did that. Most came out with a few broken bones and bloody noses.

"No! Why would I want to see you naked! That thought makes me disgusted!" Damon replied.

"Well...now you're saying I'm ugly?!"

"No! I give up!" Damon grumbled and turned around. Maiyu climbed into the hot spring.

"You can turn around now!" Maiyu said. Damon turned around to see tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Damon asked cocking his head to the right.

"Nothing," Maiyu closed her eyes and composed herself. She wrapped a towel around herself and climbed out of the hot spring.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Maiyu and Damon turned their heads toward the abandoned village.

"Let's go!" Maiyu quickly changed into her amour and tripped due to pain. Damon picked her up and put her on his back.

"You gonna be okay to fight?" Damon asked a little worried. He changed his tone of voice, "I don't want to have to protect you."

"Well...I'll be fine," Maiyu smiled. 'He certainly is like his father.'

They made it to the scene just in time. Kagome was holding her arrows as Inuyasha supported her, feeding his power into her. Miroku was throwing prayer charms everywhere and fighting an invisible youkai very well, Sango was dealing with her own heard of Demons, Kaede was sprawled out on the ground unconscious and there was a new fighter there.

Maiyu climbed off Damon and took out her boomerang. She aimed it into the trees. A figure got hit by it. The demon in the tree fell. Maiyu recognized her as Luna.

"Well...look who decided to show up," Luna mocked, "Playing kissy face with dog boy there?"

"HEY!" Damon yelled, "SHUT UP YOU BITCH!"

"Damon, calm down. Don't let anger get the best of you," Maiyu closed her eyes, took the prayer beads off her hand and aimed at Luna.

"What the?" a powerful wind started to suck her in. "Damn! Master! Help!" Luna cried.

"Very well," a light blue streak ran past Maiyu ready to claw when Damon knocked it off course.

"Maiyu, take care of Luna. I got your back!" Maiyu ran and pulled out her swords. She sliced Luna all over. Luna in turn sliced Maiyu and landed a hard kick to Maiyu's injured sided.

"Shit!" Maiyu struggled to stand. Luna came at her with a whip. Maiyu grabbed her boomerang just in time.

Sango and Miroku stood side by side. Sango just eliminated five more demons and Miroku took more down with his staff. He was a good fighter on his own.

"Damn! They just keep coming!" Sango cursed and threw her boomerang adding the death count of demons to a toll of twenty-five.

Lightning shocked the sky. Sango turned to see who was targeted.

"Maiyu! Damon! Watch out!" Sango yelled. She turned back to her fight in hopes that Maiyu and Damon made it out okay.

Kagome and Inuyasha turned toward the pair fighting.

"DAMON!"

"MAIYU!"

"LOOK OUT!" Both Kagome and Inuyasha screamed.

Maiyu and Damon jumped out of the way.

'That was too close for comfort,' Maiyu dodged another attack of the whip and pulled out her wind tunnel again. Luna dug her claws into the tree.

'Damn! Now what? Master is dealing with dog boy!' Luna let go and allowed her body to be drawn in. She got ready and kicked Maiyu who closed the tunnel, jumped out of the way and rammed one of her long swords into Luna's stomach.

'Yes!' Maiyu kept her eye on Luna. Maiyu gripped her wound while Luna gripped hers.

Damon jumped out of the way of a bolt of black lighting.

"BLACK LIGHTNING!" the male voice yelled.

"You think I'll fall for that one twice? Please..." Damon smirked. "Maiyu! Could I borrow some blood?"

"Why?"

"Why else?"

"Fine!" Maiyu ran to Damon and let him scratch her shoulder. He only got a tiny amount but it was enough. Maiyu went back to dealing with Luna.

"Blades of blood!" Damon cried. The figure was moving fast but was hit and fell to the ground, dazed. Damon ran up and took the jewel. "Hey mom! Dad! Catch!" Damon tossed the jewel to his father.

The demon who was hit stood up. He had long silvery hair, deep cobalt blue eyes, two canine fangs on either side of his mouth and two blood red lines underneath each eye. His claws were sharp, but not as sharp as Damons, and he had black blood on his hands. He wore a black and red coat and blue pants. The shirt underneath was blue.

"You will pay. Mark my words little dog boy. Lightning Blast!" Damon was hit and felt the effects. He lay paralyzed on the ground.

"Damon!" Maiyu dodged the thorny whip being aimed at her. 'Shit! Two to one! How can I make this work?' Maiyu looked back and fourth.

"Well, what are you going to do Maiyu? Hmmm...a little trapped aren't we?" Luna asked with a smirk.

"Maybe, but I can still fight!" Maiyu smirked. She sent her swords flying at Luna and threw the boomerang at Luna's master. Both were hit but Luna took more damage.

"Luna, we will take our leave. We will get the jewel."

"But master?"

"Now Luna!" Luna and her master disappeared in a whirl of leaves.

"We won this round." Maiyu walked slowly to Damon. Her wounds bled freely. She fell to her knees next to Damon. "You okay?"

"Yeah...other than the fact I'm paralyzed. You?" Maiyu nodded. Damon saw blood running through her hand. "Maiyu, don't lie to me!"

"I'm...fine...maybe not," Maiyu's eyes rolled back into her head. She fell to the ground. Her hands and head rested on Damon's chest.

"Damn it!" Damon cursed.

"You ok Miroku?" Sango asked him.

"Yeah...tired that's all. Nothing big. Where's everyone else?"

"Over there. Maiyu is unconscious on Damon...Kagome is getting help walking from Inuyasha-"

"WHAT?!" Miroku ran to Maiyu and Damon. "Take her off you right now!"

"I would but I'm kinda paralyzed," Damon rolled his eyes. The effect of the poison finally knocking him out.
