Chatper 7 - A Crack In The Jewel

Damon woke up in his room. He wondered how he got here. He stood up and went to go sit in the guest room cause that's where he liked to think. He needed to figure out how he got here.

"Don't go in there?" Kagome told her son.

"Why mom? I always think in there," Damon protested.

"Yes...well, Maiyu is resting in there. Sango and Miroku are in the second guest room and the third one is occupied too.

"What? Why?" Damon asked a little peeved off his thinking spots were all taken.

"You can go see Maiyu, if she's awake, if not just be quiet. I'm making breakfast."

"KAGOME! MAKE RAMEN!" Inuyasha yelled.

"You want ramen?" Kagome asked.

"Sure. Whatever dad wants," Damon replied and opened the door silently. Maiyu was just waking up. 'Great.'

"Oh...h-hi," Maiyu yawned. Her hair was all messy.

"Not a morning person?" Damon asked.

"Not really," Maiyu yawned again and sat up. The blanket fell to reveal a naked chest. Damon gawked. "AH! Your not mom!" Maiyu pulled the covers over her. "GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT!" Damon was flung from the room and landed face first on the wall.

"What the hell?!" Miroku, Inuyasha, Sango and Kagome ran toward Maiyu's room. They saw Damon against the wall. His ears were twitching.

"You saw her naked didn't you?" Inuyasha asked.

"H-half naked," Damon stuttered still in shock from the power she flung him with.

"I really should have warned you, Maiyu's not a morning person. And she really doesn't like male's in her room in the morning, she sleeps in the nude. Sorry." Inuyasha and Damon anime fainted while Kagome sweat dropped.

"Well...he'll know now," Kagome smiled. Sango and Kagome laughed. They remember all those times Inuyasha and Miroku peeped. "Remeber that one day in the hot spring. Miroku and Inuyasha spied on us."

"HEY! HE WANTED TO! I JUST CAME SO HE WOULDN'T LOOSE CONTROL!" Inuyasha snapped.

"Sure honey. Sure." Kagome went to the kitchen.

"I'm coming with you, Miroku do not beat Damon up," Sango warned.

"Fine," Inuyasha and Miroku helped Damon up.

"Ow. I didn't know she was that strong," Damon rubbed the back of his head.

"Your mother was the same way," Inuyasha felt his neck where the rosery used to be. "Except it was that evil word."

"You mean sit?"

"Shut up Miroku. Yes, that word," Inuyasha sat down.

'The nerve of that guy! Agh!' Maiyu pulled her kimono on and brushed her hair out. 'That stupid, mean, rude, selfish...handsome, hot, cheerful witty-' Maiyu paused. "I did not just think that!" Maiyu put the brush down and put on some light purple eyeshadow.

In the kitchen Sango and Kagome were smiling about something when Maiyu walked in.

"I heard you had a visitor Maiyu. Nice work on that throw," Kagome was very cheerful this morning.

"Yes. I don't remember throwing your father that hard ever," Sango placed a seat by the table. Maiyu didn't look in the greatest mood.

"How's your side?" Kagome asked changing the direction of conversation.

"Better. It still hurts but not as bad anymore. What did you give to me?"

"A herb that helps pain. Kaede showed me a long time ago. She went home today," Kagome sighed, "I always enjoy her company."

"As do I." Sango replied.

A girl with long black hair and a white kimono with black flowers on it walked in.

"Hello Rin. Always nice to see you."

"Hi," Rin yawned. "Shippo's still asleep."

"No I'm not," in walked a older version of Shippo. He was just a bit shorter than Inuyasha, his hair was now down to his back and his tail was long and elegant.

"You've grown up Shippo. Are you and Rin together now?" Sango asked.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"This is what caused us to get all mad at each other last time, let's stop now!"

"Fine," Rin sat down.

After a long chat Shippo and Rin went on their way. Maiyu found herself glad that he was gone.

'Was he that annoying when he was younger?' Maiyu asked herself. She sighed and played with the bowl of ramen in front of her.

"Stop playing with your food dear," Sango told Maiyu sternly.

"Sure," Maiyu took a bite of ramen. "Who's idea was it to have ramen for breakfast?" Maiyu asked a little annoyed of having noodles for breakfast.

"Inuyasha, come into the kicthen!" Kaogme called through the hut. Inuyasha dragged Damon in.

"Is that ramen I smell?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes."

"Here, you can have mine. I'm going out for awhie," Maiyu was not in the best of moods. Everyone sensed it.

Damon sucked in the ramen and fought his father for Maiyu's abondoned breakfast. Sango watched Maiyu leave. She was worried about what was bugging her. Miroku walked in a couple minutes after the bowl of ramen landed on Sango and Kagome's heads.

"Did I miss anything?" Miroku asked.

"No," Kagome hissed and shoved the bowl of ramen into his hands. Sango exited after Kagome.

'Why can't I stop blaming myself for the jewel getting taken? Sure, we got it back, but I'm the one who lost it in the first place. Maybe I shouldn't even help anymore,' Maiyu sighed and stripped. She lowered herself into the hot spring. "Man my muscles needed this."

Someone was watching from the bushes.

'My. So beautiful. Such a well formed body,' the person licked his lips. He could taste the sweat juices soon to be rewarded for his labour. He quietly stole her clothes into the bushes and jumped out startling Maiyu.

Sakura: What will he do? Was this chapter good? Bad?
