Chapter 22

 

Sarah sighed as she paced the room she and Richard were sharing. She felt like she was a caged animal again, all because Richard was being a controlling jerk. `I'll castrate him,' she thought with vehemence as she clenched her claws together. Her wings fluttered slightly and she finally took a deep breath to calm down. She blinked and found herself in front of the full length mirror in the room. Her hand traveled down her hip and came to a rest on her lower stomach. `It's only been two months,' she thought as she gently ran a hand over the growing bulge. To a human, it looked like she was about 4 or 5 months along, even though it had only been two. `One thing I like about this pregnancy. I won't have to wait forever to have the child,' she thought with a warm smile. Demon pregnancies only lasted 4 months. Sarah figured the short pregnancy time was compensation for the fact that most female demons had a hard to getting pregnant to begin with. Even with mating season, some females couldn't become pregnant. It took a variety of variables in order for a female to become pregnant. The male and female had to be mated; the female had to be fertile. And there was also a bit of luck and the need to have a child. She and Richard had been trying for years, but for some reason, she had become pregnant two months earlier then mating season. Sarah frowned slightly as she wondered if the mother goddess had anything to do with this. `If I hadn't become pregnant two months ago, then Richard wouldn't have even let me come now. He also would have become overly protective and possessive during mating season,' she wondered if those were the reasons the goddess would have allowed her to become pregnant so early.

As her thoughts wandered aimlessly about mating season and demonic pregnancies, strong arms wrapped around her midsection. Sarah gasped and leaned back into her mate.

“How are you feeling?” Richard asked softly, his wings wrapping around Sarah, cutting her off from the outside world. He nuzzled her neck and his hands moved in small, slow circles over her stomach.

Sarah rolled her eyes and tilted her head back to look at her mate. “I feel just as I felt an hour ago. I feel like a caged animal that has nothing to do other then check on Sesshomaru and Ether 3 times a day,” she stated as she sighed softly. She rubbed her head. “I didn't even go to check on them yet today because of the scents that are literally permeating the room. That and I keep hearing warning growls every time I get to close to the door,” She said with another sigh. She knew what was going on in there, and she also knew Ether would need to eat soon. “I'm going to have to take the barrier down early if this keeps up,” Sarah said. She closed her eyes and rubbed them tiredly.

Richard nuzzled his mate's cheek comfortingly. “Knowing Ether, I don't think taking the barrier down early would do any damage,” Richard said as he nipped at her shoulder. He took in her scent, his eyes shutting and his body hardening.

Ether moaned and then pushed away from her mate. “Don't you dare Richard! This might be mating season, but I am pregnant with your demon spawn,” She said with a huff as she inched towards the door.

Richard chuckled and raced to the door, blocking it from his mate. “So what? I know you need me. I know you need to be touched and loved right now, all females do when their pregnant,” he stated as he stalked towards his mate.

Sarah frowned and took a step back. “Well not me. I'm not in the mood right now,” she said as she crouched slightly to fight past Richard. She needed to get out of this room.

Richard shook his head and before Sarah could complain, he scooped her up and carried her to the bed. “You're lying to yourself,” he whispered into her ear gently.

Sarah blushed and struggled. “I am not you big buffoon. I need to go take down the barrier,” She struggled and tried to punch him in the chin, but he caught her hand and held it an inch from his face.

“You can do that after we spend some time together,” he said as he tossed her onto the bed.

Sarah eeped and quickly flipped over. She swiftly tried to jump to the other side of the bed, only to be pressed gently but firmly down onto the bed by a very aroused mate. “I'm not in the mood Richard!” she said, trying to suppress a moan as his tongue slid between her wings. She shuddered and felt his hand snake towards the hem of her skirt.

“Not in the mood huh? I can smell your arousal love,” he murmured as he pressed two fingers against her clit, enticing a moan from his mate's lips.

“Please Richard, not right now,” Sarah begged as she squirmed under the weight of her mate. She was glad the bed was soft, or else she would have been worried about the baby.

“The baby will be fine love,” Richard said as he nipped at her shoulder again, pulling a gasp from her beautiful lips. “You need this more then you think.”

Sarah whimpered as she felt her arousal start to push past her common sense. She made one final effort to get her mate off of her. “Richard, I really don't want to do this right now.”

Richard shook his head and sighed, his breath caressing her skin. He knew his mate better then she thought he did. He knew she needed him more then she admitted, and it was going to drive her nuts sooner or later. Then again, she already was crazy. “You might not, but I do,” he growled out as he nipped at her shoulder. He grabbed her skirt and pulled it off fast. He moaned as she arched against him in one of her efforts to escape. He straddled her hips and moved his hands to gently massage her back.

Sarah gasped and became still as his hands moved from one part of her to another. `Perhaps a massage wouldn't be a bad idea,' she thought to herself. She was technically “in the mood” for mating, but she was too worried about Ether and Sesshomaru to really enjoy it. A massage was different though.

Richard felt his mate's body relax as his hands pressed and kneaded her back muscles. His fingers curled around the base of her wings, rubbing and squeezing as he continued to entice moans of pleasure from her delicate lips. He leaned down and kissed the back of her neck as he pressed down gently on the small of her back. He smiled lovingly as her gasp grew louder. He knew where the pressure points were to turn her own. Her stomach was one, though he wouldn't use it right now, her ears, and the scar on her leg, her neck, and the small of her back. If he placed pressure on any of these places on his mate, he knew she would give up her ideas of “not in the mood”.

“Better love?” He whispered as he pressed down on the small of her back again.

Sarah moaned and nodded into the bed. “Much nice,” she said, her grammar becoming incoherent as her mind turned to a gooey mess of sensations. She was too relaxed now to even think about fighting her mate. Her eyes drifted shut as her mind started to drift into a dreamless slumber.

“I can't have you doing that love,” Richard murmured as he pulled his mate up into his lap. Sarah moaned and limply leaned against her mate. She felt his erection against her and her eyes snapped open.

“Not now Richard, please?” She begged softly even as her body betrayed her. She arched against him and dug her claws into the bed. Her body was just too relaxed to let her do anything then murmur.

Richard sighed and gently laid his mate down onto the bed, on her side. “As you wish love,” he whispered as he pulled his mate close to cuddle. He tucked her head under his chin and wrapped his legs and tail around hers. If they wouldn't mate, he could sure as hell enjoy holding her. He grinned wickedly as a plan formed in his mind. “Sleep love, you can check on Ether in a couple hours,” he whispered, his breath caressing her ear.

Sarah shivered and nodded, fighting back a yawn as her eyes closed again.

 

A moan escaped her lips as Sarah began to very groggily wake up. She felt a pleasant rocking motion and arched against the presence against her back. She was still to asleep to realize what her mate was doing, but she enjoyed it none the less. The more she woke up, the more she was able to meet the thrusts of her mate, and it was when her first orgasm hit her that she realized her mate had taken her while she had been sleeping on her side. She twitched, but couldn't fight back the pleasure her mate was inflicting upon her. “Richard!” She cried out as she dug her claws into the sheets that covered her and her mate.

Richard panted and nipped gently at Sarah's mating mark as he moved faster and harder now that she was awake. He had originally fallen asleep with Sarah, but had awoken only a few minutes before her. He was still hard and he couldn't control his need for his mate much longer. Before she could wake up and fight him again, he had shifted her leg and pushed into her gently.

Sarah mewed with need as his thrusts became faster and harder. “There!” She cried out as he started to hit her g-spot. She cried out and arched, shuddering as her pleasure grew more and more. She felt Richard cling to her and clutch at her as he felt his own orgasm grow. He couldn't hold back much longer. He panted and his fangs elongated as he pounded into her harder and faster. He felt her convulse around him as she came again and his eyes went wide and red as his fangs drove themselves into Sarah's mating mark. He shuddered and emptied his seed into her before gently pulling his fangs from her shoulder.

Sarah panted and her body went limp as Richard pulled his fangs free of her slowly, though he was still inside of her. “I hate you sometimes,” She murmured contently as her body relaxed.

“Love you too,” Richard murmured as he cuddled against his mate, keeping her locked in his arms. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Sarah began to squirm in his arms. “What now?” he asked as he tried to hold his mate still.

Sarah tried to push free of her mate, only to be held tight. “I have to check on Ether and Sesshomaru. I need to at least take the barrier down so they can eat when they want to!” Sarah said as she gently bit Richard's arm in an attempt to break free.

Richard laughed and let go of his mate suddenly, making her fall forward a little toward the edge of the bed. “Fine, but best get dressed first,” he said with a perverted wink.

Sarah rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at her mate. Sometimes she wondered why she had agreed to mate him anyway. She quickly grabbed the kimono Richard had pulled off her earlier and tied it shut. “You coming?” she asked seductively as she headed for the door.

Richard was up in an instant and dressed, following his mate as she walked, her hips rolling and her tail twisting this way and that. “Best stop that or I'll drag you back into our room,” he whispered deeply.

Sarah grinned and winked before walking normally. “You know you like it when I fight,” She said as she continued down the hall.

Richard groaned and rolled his eyes. She was having mood swings, he knew it. He would just have to put up with it because, like she was telling him all the time now, it was technically his fault she was pregnant. He sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets. But how was he supposed to know she was in heat? Oh…that's right…he was supposed to smell it. `But she smells so good all the time,' he thought as his hands twitched to slap that firm ass of hers.

As if she could hear his thoughts, Sarah turned and glared angrily at him. “You are the biggest pervert in the world, you know that?” She said angrily as she turned and continued down the hall.

Richard sighed and shrugged as he followed after her. “If I'm the biggest pervert, what does that make you?” he asked lightly.

Sarah flushed and didn't answer, instead she walked forward and reached for the door that lead into Sesshomaru and Ether's room. Just as she took down the barrier, a loud and angry screech resonated in the room.

“I'M WHAT?”

Ok…it's a little short, but I really wanted to save the next bit for the next chapter. If you don't like it, fine, but I wanted to do a little chapter on Sarah and Richard…

 

We will return to Sesshy and Ether in the next chapter.
