Chapter 1 ~Too Bright…~

“Too Bright…”

The first words to come out of the Prince's mouth since this whole ordeal began accurately described his currently confused heart. While the blinding light of the sun offered him warmth and the promise that he was still alive it also gave him false hope that the last 24 hours hadn't occurred, that everything was alright and that his father would soon be here greeting him with that arrogant smile that only the Great Dog General seemed to pull off without getting himself killed. That is until yesterday when the Demon Lord of the East attacked the palace.

Sesshoumaru who awoke early in the morning while the sun was still down had been sitting at the edge of the river all day hoping for some sign of his father. The Prince had all but given up hope when he saw a flash of silver heading down in a boat causing him to stand up quickly and squint to get a better view. Unfortunately he only got his hopes up as it turned out to be the guard who dragged him away from his father.

“Young Lord… I am truly sorry”

Sesshoumaru was about to question the guard as to his meaning until he caught sight of 4 objects that caused his eyes to well up with tears and a howl of anguish to escape his throat for in the boat surrounded by a fluffy white boa were the Dog General's 3 swords Tetsusaiga, Tenseiga, and Sou'unga. (I'm sure my spelling is off but the spelling isn't the point is it ^^)

“It's not true my father can't be dead… He's too strong to be beaten… it's… it's… not possible”

The poor demon continued to repeat this over and over as he walked away as if it would come true if said enough. The guard was worried about the young prince but decided to give him some time to himself since there was no immediate danger. While at one point the sun was bright the sky seemed to darken as Sesshoumaru's mood worsened and while he certainly felt bad enough to cause such a phenomenon a cold droplet of water falling onto his pointed nose seemed to dispel the notion but did nothing to alleviate his depression it only succeeded in drenching him from head to toe.

“Perfect…”

The Prince turned around and started heading back when he thought he heard an odd sound and being the curious pup that he was he went to investigate. The noise became clearer as he moved towards the source and was soon identified as giggling but still curious he continued on. For a moment Sesshoumaru considered that this could be a trap but shaking that thought off he peered through a group of bushes just between him and his target and was surprised at what he found for a boy his own age was sitting in front of a fire. One might wonder what surprised the prince more the fact that a fire was still going in the downpour or that the boy had short light blue hair… maybe it was the red eyes no what surprised him the most was the boy's beauty.

“He smells like a boy but it has to be a girl…”

Sesshoumaru would have approached him if a hand hadn't stopped him from going forward even if it didn't stop him from spinning on his heel and lashing out at the figure that jumped back out of the way. “Wow.. you almost got me there Silver.” The prince was shocked it was the boy… and yet now he smelled like a girl “What's going on ?!?! Who are you, Why do you smell different now.. AND MY NAME IS SESSHOUMARU NOT SILVER!!!” The blue haired demon giggled and grinned

“Silly that's not me over there that's my brother were Twins!!!”

“Twins… What are those?...”

Well folks that's chapter 1 for you.. it isn't that long but hey I think its good..
