Chapter 1
The Plan . . .
A black ship with shadowy sails, glided through the water; not making a single sound. Mist surrounded the dark waters making it almost impossible to see more than two inches from your nose.
"Heavy fog . . ." Sango whispered clutching the cherry wood railing that separated her from the ever vast sea that swept against the ship's sides in waves. A frown appeared on her face as she continued to look out into the invisible sea.
"Sango?" Miroku asked, reaching out to touch her shoulder gently. Smiling slightly knowing she wouldn't see.
"What is it, Houshi-Sama?" She asked not troubling herself to turn around, knowing full well that she wouldn't see him.
"Where's Captain Inuyasha?" He asked, removing his hand from it's place at her shoulder, realizing the feel of an icy glare that was turned on him. "Well do you know where he is?"
"No, I don't." She responded, turning again to face the misty ocean, she sighed. "Maybe he's in the Captain's cabin." She suggested to him. She knew he was still there, with a chance like this he'd stay there forever.
"Okay, I'll go see . . ." Miroku informed her, turning around and heading for a wooden mast. "Owww" he whispered rubbing his hand over the small bump that had formed on his head.
"Turn left, Houshi-Sama." Sango instructed, as she sighed heavily and looked, still into the mist. `Why does the mist have to ruin the best days?' She pondered as she kept her ears open for any sounds of Miroku falling into the water, but unfortunately he knew his way around the ship too well.
"Dammit!" Came Miroku's voice, followed by the sounds of little banging, which came while someone was falling down the stairs.
"Oh, Houshi-Sama . . ." Sango sighed, a smiled tugged at the corners of her mouth as she opened her eyes. "Inuyasha must be in a bad mood . . ." She muttered, noticing the way the ship sailed further into the mist rather than out.

"Stupid stairs!" Miroku grumbled, staggering to get up from his painful position on the floor at the bottom of the stairs. He looked up them , he could hardly see the top. "Hmm . . ." he shrugged heading for Inuyasha's cabin.
The pounding of his footsteps against the hard wood floor would give him away, but what was the point? He'd probably smell him anyway. `Why is the Captain going so far into the mist?' He wondered stopping at the door at the end of the torch lit corridor.
Pushing the door open he saw a silver-haired young man with a red bandana pulled over his head, bent over a piece of parchment; his hand moving busily over the paper and marking places on the map beside him.
"Captain, why are we going so far into the fog?" Inquired the black haired man, cocking an eyebrow; as the captain didn't seem to notice him. "Captain?" Miroku asked walking over to the boy, who was still writing. He sighed raising his fist.
"Owww!" Inuyasha wailed his hand going up to his ear by reflex. "Why the hell did ya do that for?" Inuyasha snarled raising his eyes to meet Miroku's hard face. "What?" He asked looking offended to why the monk was looking at him like the way he was . . . which was glaring.
" Why are we going so far into the mist?" he questioned, keeping his glare. "Sango's worried sick!"
"Really, how would you know that when you can't even see her face?" Inuyasha retorted. "Dammit Miroku! Stop hitting me, or I'll kick your ass off this ship!"
"Empty threat . . ." Miroku stated, turning around to slump on to the sofa next to the captains bed. "So why are you going into the fog?"
Inuyasha smirked at his question. "There's a palace at the end of the gulf, near here . . . get dressed in your finest ware and change the ship's sails to white." He requested while he answering his question. "Give this to Sango." Inuyasha said tossing a midnight blue yukata to him.
"Yes, Sir!" Miroku saluted him, walking out with the yukata over his shoulder.
"And Miroku"
"Yes?"
"No, perverted things at the palace, please . . ."
"Yes , sir."
"Good." Inuyasha replied, sitting against the wall, grabbing the paper he had been writing on. "Princess Kagome . . . prized possession of King Higurashi." He smiled. "Kind, generous an image of Kikyo, Goddess of chaos." He grimaced at the name `Kikyo' "That fucking bitch . . ." He muttered throwing the paper to the side. `If this girl is an image of Kikyo . . . than maybe there is a chance I can get at Naraku.'

"Wear this, why?" Sango asked holding the yukata to show Miroku, who just smiled. "Stop looking at me like that, Houshi-Sama!" She snapped. "Hey . . ." She said realizing that the mist was clearing up. "Where are we going?"
"We're going to a palace near the end of the gulf . . . and I don't know for what reason, but Inuyasha want's you to wear that dress." Miroku shrugged pointing at the dress and walking away. Smiling when he noticed he wasn't going to be falling down any stairs or hitting any mast's that just happened to be in the way. "Dammit!" He grumbled as he hit another pole. `Guess closing my eyes is not a privilege worth trying.'
"Houshi-Sama, Inuyasha did say no perverted touching or thoughts and remarks?" Asked Sango, turning around to face the monk; who just smiled widely.
"Of course Ma'am."
"Good, don't want any mishaps at the palace, now do we?"
"No, Ma'am."
