Disclamer: I do not own any InuYasha characters...
Hmm. So I slept yesterday from like 7 till freaking 8 this morning. The only reason I woke up was this nightmare or w/e.
Well, anyway. We'll get on to some interesting stuff. Haha! ^_^
What is my problem? I started getting angry at InuYasha because he was eating? Man, I'm so messed up right now! I wonder why... Well no matter why, I'm not mad anymore. Oh well. I'll just forget about it, I guess. Kagome looked up from the patterns shifting in the deep blue water of the river to see the object of her thoughts staring at her. "Oh, InuYasha! You scared me!" Kagome pressed her hand against her rapidly beating heart, not sure if it was the fact that InuYasha was staring at her with the same look he had last night or the fact that he surprised her.
"Sorry... I wanted to tell you something. I know that it'll probably scare you, though. So if you get freaked out, dont be afraid to just... leave." Kagome looked at InuYasha confusedly. He continued speaking, looking down at his reflection in the water. "You see, I am a half demon. Half dog demon, actually. But demons don't do so well around humans, becuase humans are pretty freaked by us. Most of us demons don't pay any attention to humans and we've stopped attacking their villages nearly 500 years ago. But the human's are still raised on stories of our cruelty. So demon's have found a way to hide our demonic looks. However, we are able to show ourselves to people when we choose to. Or when its necessary to fight. That's why you saw my ears the other day. I was letting you see them so that I could fight that demon. You see, there are some demon's that are still very obsessed with killing and hurting humans. But Kagome, that demon was looking especially for you. Do you have any idea why?" InuYasha finally turned to Kagome and she bit her lip thinking.
"Well... I really don't know why a demon would want me. It's not like I was born here, or anything. And I hadn't even been here that long." When Kagome finished speaking, she set her hand on the ground, but jerked it back up with a little yelp. "Ow!" She looked down at her hand and saw a bright red drop of blood. She put her finger into her mouth and began licking the wound. InuYasha stared at her with a strange look of hunger mixed with rage.
He grabbed Kagome's hand and looked at the cut which was already perfectly healed. "Kagome, what type of blood do you have? And why is your wound already healed?"
Kagome wore a mask of incredible surprise and looked at her hand before speaking. "I have a weird blood type, the doctors have no idea what it is, exactly. But I can take any blood if I need it. And my wounds have alwaysed healed well. But they usually take a day to heal, even if they are this small. Otherwise it takes up to a month. I remember breaking my leg, and within a month, I was able to walk fine with out a cast or crutches. I used to hate it, but I don't mind it now. Why? Is there something wrong with me having wierd blood and a quick healing time?"
InuYasha dragged his hands across his face before answering. "Kagome... I think you're one of the humans who have somehow taken on slightly demonic qualities. The humans like this... They are really good mates for demons, because the demon they are with will know exactly what you are thinking all the time. At least, they will know what you're thinking, unless they are your soulmate. Becuase soulmates carry a sort of trait that only shows up when they mate. This trait varies from couple to couple, but most of the time its just the knowledge of when/if the other mate is in trouble. Anyway, that demon was probably looking for you, becuase he wanted you as a mate. Humans like you also have less of a chance of dying in childbirth and get impregnated easily, if they want to be. And the children will always take on exaclty what their father is. Whether he's half- or full-demon. Do you understand why that demon was looking for you, now?"
Kagome was listening with a strange sort of look on her face. "So you're saying that the demons will want me for sex and marriage. Oh, boy, thats just great!" Kagome stood up and angrily started pacing. InuYasha watched her for a small while, but then he stood up and pulled her into his arms.
"There is a way to get out of this, but I doubt you'd want to do it." He looked down at Kagome and she looked up at him.
"Tell me, and I'll decide if I want to do it, InuYasha." InuYasha looked down at her deep in thought and then looked deep into her eyes.
"To get out of all the other demon's knowing what you are, you could mate with another one as soon as you want." Kagome broke away from InuYasha and went to stand by the water's edge.
"So... If I were to marry you, for instance, all the other demon's would forget about me?" Kagome turned to InuYasha. "I would marry you, InuYasha, but I don't know if you love me. Then again, you probably weren't proposing anyway." She turned back to the water and InuYasha smelled a hint of tears.
"Oh, Kagome, don't cry. I do want to marry you. And, in a way, I was proposing. But you would actually want to marry a half-breed?" InuYasha placed his hand on Kagome's shoulder and stood next to her staring down at their reflections in the water. "I mean, look at me. I'm hard and your so soft. I'm the total opposite of you in every way."Kagome looked down at InuYasha's reflection. "You say your the opposite of me in every way, InuYasha, but I think that you... make me whole. I know I sound corny, but its the total truth. I think I might love you, but please, don't be scared of by my saying that."
Kagome turned to InuYasha and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I think I love you and that scares me."
And InuYasha pulled her into a crushing, bruising kiss. When they finally came up for air, he said, "I love you, too, Kagome. And it scares me, too."
Okay, so a lot was explained in this chapter, huh?
Hopefully I'll be able to write more soon, but I'm gonna have to spend most of my time cleaning and being "respectful" lol.
