A Pledge of Fate- Sealed Through the Bonds of Time

Kagome Higurashi settled into the couch in her living room. Sango had called saying that they all needed to come over to Kagome's for an extremely important meeting. Kagome had agreed, wondering why it had to be at the shrine.

Inuyasha was already coming up the steps. She watched as the dog-demon stop-ped at the Goshinboku and stared at it an odd look on his face. Kagome studied the boy she had had a crush on ever since they'd first met in sixth grade under that exact tree.

She got up from the couch and walked outside and put a hand on his arm. He looked down at her startled then smiled at her. He put his hand over hers then turned his gaze back at the spot where there was no bark growing.

“I wonder why that one spot is bare of bark.” he whispered. “It's the first time I noticed. I wonder why. It must've been there all along.”

“You're right. It's the first time I've noticed as well. Maybe it's because in our eyes we've never really cared about what it looks like, just that its there to comfort us.” Kagome smiled. Inuyasha nodded, he understood what she meant.

“HI!” came Sango and Miroku's voices. Inuyasha and Kagome turned away. Kagome waved them over as they reached the top of the steps. Miroku groaned as Sango bonked on the head with her fist as he made an attempt to touch her.

“Oh, the tree's blossoming!” Sango squealed in delight. Kagome looked up and smiled as the cherry blossoms were indeed forming on the normally bare branches.

“Yep. I swear sometimes I could kill my grandpa. He loves to talk about history. And he told me some tale about how the tree had never blossomed after a miko and her love were found dead under the tree.

“I don't believe the story he told me, but its sooooo sweet. You see the boy was in love a long time ago with another miko but sadly she was murdered. And he met this other miko and fell in love with her.

“But the other miko was brought back from the dead, and blamed the boy for her death. She wanted him to go to hell with her. The other miko over heard him making a promise to his first love to always be with her.

“The miko that was still alive ran to this tree and stabbed herself with an arrow. But the other miko brought her back to life and made her pin the boy to the tree. This other miko, the undead one, finally was killed by the alive miko's ability.

“Yet when she took the arrow out of the boy he was amazingly alive! But grandfather said that was due to the fact that the boy was half-demon.” Inuyasha gave a start.

“Just like me!” he said astonished. Kagome nodded a sad smile playing on her lips.

“Yeah. But the story has a far from happy ending. The girl told the boy she didn't deserve him, that she deserved death. She told him that she didn't deserve a spot in his heart either.

“She stabbed herself in the heart again with the arrow that the older miko had made her use to pin the boy to the tree. They said he cradled her to his chest and leaned on the Goshinboku and died with her in his arms.

“They never expressed their love. Its so sad.” Kagome finally finished. Sango nodded in agreement, wiping the tears away from her own eyes.

“Indeed. That is depressing. I just hope Sango's news is more happy.” Miroku stated. Sango remembered what she had been so excited about at that moment.

Kagome leaned against the tree as Sango told them that they could enter a singing contest and that she thought Kagome would be perfect for it with her voice. Kagome felt a heaviness overcome her limbs. She fell to the ground as her eyes closed.

Kagome was in a world covered in white. And there he was. She called out to him and he turned towards her his arms outstretched. She flew into them, warmth radiated from him protecting her from the snow falling around.

“I love you so.” he whispered in her ear. She blushed bright red and snuggled deeper into his chest.

“I love you too.” she replied. He hugged her tightly against his chest. He shifted slightly and she found that their lips were centimeters apart. Her breath caught as he came closer, his words echoed in her ears as he kissed her gently.

“I miss you so. Please remember, koishii.”

Kagome took in a deep breath as she woke up. Everyone and his brother were around her hospital bed. Literally. Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru was standing beside him and Sango's little brother was standing beside her.

Thankfully Miroku had no little brother, but she was beginning to get claustrophobic and waved them all away as she sat up.

“Thank god, you gave us quite a scare!” Sango replied, sighing in relief. Sesshomaru, who was a doctor at the hospital, gave her a look.

“Kagome, I thought I told you the last time you were here not to overexert yourself!” he scolded.

“She wasn't! One minute she's standing up leaning against the God Tree next she's falling to the ground. Nowhere in there did she overexert herself!” Inuyasha growled at his older half-brother.

(Sesshy: Note the word older!
Inu: What do you mean by that?! You're not that much greater.
Sesshy: Are to!
Inu: Are not!
Sesshy: Are to!
Inu: NOT!
Sesshy: YES!
Rin & Kagome: *sigh* Not AGAIN!)

“Stop it! It doesn't matter! Look I'm fine; maybe I was a little tired from the walk home from school. That's probably it!” Kagome laughed. Sesshomaru growled and his fiancé went to his side who Kagome had just realized was there.

“Oh, hey Rin!” she said cheerfully.

“Hey, yourself. You did give us quite a scare. Come on Sesshomaru, you need to calm down before you try to murder Inuyasha.” Rin dragged him out of the room, which must've been hard considering Sesshomaru was resisting and the fact that he was a full demon. But dragged him out she did.

“Well, I'm going to go get something to drink.” Kohaku turned around and smiled a big grin at Sango who sighed, diving into her purse.

“Here you go, squirt. Now get lost.” she said handing him five one dollar bills. Kohaku ran out of the room with a cry of glee.

“Gee. He's gotten big, Sango, what grade is he in?” Kagome asked sitting up. She mustn't have been out long; she was still in her clothes.

“He's a sixth grader.” Sango said, watching worriedly as her best fried put her shoes back on. Inuyasha growled in irritation.

“Where exactly do you think you're going?” he growled at her. She gave him a `stupid-where-do-you-think?' look and stood up. But that plan back fired as she got dizzy and had to sit back down almost immediately.

She whined as her head began to pound, almost immediately Inuyasha was beside her holding her in his arms. Inuyasha watched in concern with the rest of his friends as Kagome slumped forward her hand clutching at her heart.

What's happening to me? Why is there a sharp pain in my heart? she thought as it tried to strangle her with it vindictive pain. Because you are her! You are the protector! You must stop him! whispered an unfamiliar voice inside of her head.

“Nani?” she whispered looking up to see where the voice had come from, but she couldn't find it. She shook her head and took a deep breath as the pain finally went away.

“I'm fine, Inuyasha, you can...umm...let go now.” she whispered blushing as she realized how closely he'd actually been holding her. He nodded and released her, though it was reluctantly on both parts.

“Well, since you're absolutely determined to go home, I can drive.” Miroku offered. Kagome smiled at the boy, he might be hentai, but he was awfully kind. Especially to Sango.

“Thanks, Miroku. And I want to hear more about this contest that Sango wants me to enter.” she said as they walked out of the hospital and to Miroku's car.

“You can sing any song you want!” Sango said, going into the Higurashi's living room when they reached Kagome's house. Kagome knew the perfect song to sing but when asked what it was she refused to say what it was.

The gym was crowded as Inuyasha and the others made their way to their seats. A lot of good singers sang beautiful songs but Inuyasha was anxious to hear Kagome sing. He wondered if this was what Sesshomaru considered overexerting herself.

“And to close the night's contest is Kagome Higurashi singing Evanescence's Taking Over Me.” the announcer said.

Kagome came out onto the stage in a simple but beautiful black dress. She took the microphone and began to sing.

You don't remember me
But I remember you
I lie awake and try so hard
Not to think of you
But who can decide what they dream?
And dream I do...

I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live to breathe
You're taking over me

Have you forgotten all I know
And all we had?
You saw me mourning my love for you
And touched my hand
I knew you loved me then

I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you to live to breathe
You're taking over me

I look in the mirror and see your face
If I look deep enough
So many things inside that are
Just like you are taking over me

Kagome's voice died away as the gym burst into applause. Her performance had been the best of all, at least to Inuyasha it had been. He watched as she walked off the stage. But his heart stopped as she fell to the ground in a heap.

He ran down the bleachers and reached her side. She was as pale as a ghost. He gently tapped her on the face and she moaned as apparently she dreamed, about what he didn't know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~
“Koishii, you must wake for them.” he whispered as she held onto his waist. She looked up into his eyes, hers glittering with unshed tears.
“Please! Don't send me back! I want to be with you!” she whimpered. He smiled down gently at her.
“I know, koishii. But to be together you must remember, so that I can join you. I'm already there as well. But you must remember so that I can remember.” he insisted.
“Remember what?” Kagome cried as he faded. Her eyes opened and were met with Inuyasha's worried gaze. She realized that she was back at her house. Her mother and grandfather were also hovering over her worriedly.
“Thank god! Kagome, are you alright?” Inuyasha whispered as her grandfather and mother left so that they could go get Sota from his friend's house. She blushed when she realized that he was holding her hand.
“Yeah, I'm okay Inuyasha.” she whispered sitting up on the couch. He smiled in relief then he blushed as he also noticed that he was holding her hand as well. He let go once again, feeling like his heart was breaking.
But then the pain became real. He groaned as he fell to his knees, holding his chest where almost five hundred and fifty years ago he'd been pierced by an arrow. What? He'd never been pierced by an arrow before, had he?
He groaned as the pain worsened. Kagome was calling his name, but she seemed distant, he tried to reply but found that he couldn't control his mouth. He was surrounded by a strange white light then it slowly faded into an image of a beautiful woman.
She was in a long white dress, she looked similar to Kagome, and at her side was a huge sword that resembled a dog's fang. She smiled at him slightly and Inuyasha felt his heart warm at the sight.
“Koishii, I'm so glad to see that you're alive. But my heart is saddened that you can't remember both times we've been together. Once as a prince, the next as a hanyou, and now as a hanyou.” the girl whispered softly.
“I'm so happy to see you as well. I don't know who you are, but it warms my heart to see you smiling. It almost makes the pain go away.” Inuyasha smiled.
“The pain in your chest is her doing. She despises you still. Her body may not be alive but her spirit of anger still lingers. You must stop them both, koishii. Before time's circle completes and the past repeats itself.” the girl said as the world of white disappeared into a world of black.
“INUYASHA! INUYASHA! INUYASHA, WAKE UP!” screamed Kagome's sweet voice. Inuyasha groaned, opening his eyes and looking into Kagome's worried hazel hues. He brought a hand up and gently stroked her cheek with his claws.
It would be so easy to just lean up and kiss her lips. He'd loved Kagome for the longest time now. He couldn't imagine life without her, which is exactly why he didn't kiss her. He didn't want to scare her.
Protect her! Please protect her! Don't let him get her! screamed a voice inside his head. He gasped. Protect Kagome? From who? He growled angrily to himself. Who was going to dare to try and hurt Kagome?
“Inuyasha, are you okay? You had me worried when you just collapsed like that!” Kagome laughed. Her tears began to actually fall as he absently stroked her cheek in a reassuring gesture. He wiped her tears away as he smiled up at her, from where he was lying on the floor.
“Don't, I'm a waste of your tears.” he whispered. She laughed at him as she sat back on her heels.
“Ain't that the truth!” she teased. He shook his head at her as she laughed at him. And suddenly he hunched over as pain shot through his heart again. Kagome gasped.
She was at his side in an instant. She touched him lightly and a shock went through her body and she gasped. The pain instantly left Inuyasha's body. It seemed Kagome's touch had healed him of the pain.
“Are you okay?” he asked remembering that he'd heard her gasp. She nodded, making her heartbeat go back to normal. She looked at her hands in bewilderment and sighed.
What's wrong with me? she thought her hands were shaking as she was overcome by pain once again. She moaned in pain, her hands shooting up to her heart. She was beginning to have trouble breathing. She coughed and felt herself go cold.
“Kagome! Kagome!” she heard Inuyasha call. She tried to move her head in the direction that the voice had come from but no such luck. Then she felt the urge to go to the God Tree.
She stood and went out her door. There they stood. Sango and Miroku in the oddest clothing that she had ever seen. It looked medieval. Sango was dressed in a sort of armor and Miroku in a monk's outfit.
“Inuyasha, finally you've come.” Sango said a small smile playing on her features. Kagome looked back at Inuyasha and gasped. Now he was in a red kimono. What was going on?
“We must make haste, we have to stop Naraku before he strikes.” Sango said. She and Miroku had been reborn with their memories still in tact. Kagome felt a pain shoot through her heart at the mention of Naraku's name.
“Who is Naraku? What the hell is going on?” Inuyasha demanded looking at his best friend for almost eighteen years. Miroku gave him a sad look.
“We don't belong here Inuyasha. We belong in our own era. Kagome belongs here.” Miroku said.
“What? What are you two talking about? You guys belong here! I mean you're my best friends!” Kagome whimpered. Were they actually going to leave her?
“Kagome, it's time that you remembered!” Sango stretched her hand out towards the two, palm facing them. Suddenly a burst of white light touched both their foreheads and Kagome gasped as memories came pouring back into her head.
But when she opened her eyes all three of them were gone! Her heart began to pound in her ears. Where were they? She couldn't sense them anywhere!
She looked at the God Tree in confusion then shook her head and put a hand to her temple. The thoughts in her head were confused and jumbled; finally she got them sorted out.
She realized that she had been the miko that her grandfather had spoken about her killing herself for the man that she loved. Kagome blinked away the tears, Inuyasha had been taken from her as always.
Then she gasped, where was her shikon jewel shards? She looked around frantically then gasped as she saw their glow coming from the God Tree. She walked up to it and placed her hand where the shards were and gasped as they fell into her hand.
She looked at the three shards that she held. Smiling she wrapped her hand around the jewel shards and sighed in contentment but then realized that she was missing something. Or more precisely someone. How the hell was she supposed to find Inuyasha...the reason she'd been reborn?
Inuyasha where are you? I can't defeat him without you! Kagome thought dropping to her knees. She didn't know what to do. Darkness forced its way into her mind but before she fell unconscious her own apparel changed, into that of a long flowing white dress.
Her skin seemed to also glow a beautiful white.
***************************************************************** *******
“Where is she? Where is Kagome?” Inuyasha growled grabbing Miroku by the collar of his dumb out fit. Inuyasha wasn't in a very forgiving mood at the moment. He wanted to know where Kagome was and where she was right at that moment.
“Calm down! She's safe.” Sango said as they once again stood under the trees of the feudal era. Inuyasha turned his glare on her now.
“Sango, time passed while we were all dead. Naraku is in Kagome's, our, time! We can't-ugh!” Inuyasha groaned falling to his knees as pain pierced through his chest. He now remembered Kikyo's hatred towards him and knew that she was the one causing pain in his chest.
“We don't have time to dawdle!” Inuyasha begged as he tried to stand up. “Please, let me go back to her. I can barely breath without her.” Sango and Miroku sighed.
“Inuyasha, her life is no longer intertwined with ours, she is fated to not be with us but her own time.” Miroku said patting his friend on the back as he stood up. Inuyasha growled at them and ran in the one direction that he remembered was the way to at least make contact with Kagome.
The God Tree swayed in the slight breeze that blew his hair in his face. He went up and touched the spot that he had slept at for almost fifty years. Then her presence was there. She was dressed oddly, a long flowing white gown adorned her body and her hair was much longer than usual, tied back.
She smiled at him with such a sad quality that he felt his heart break. She came up to him and stroked his cheek, but her hand was transparent and he couldn't feel the usual warmth that went with her touch.
He tried to catch her pale hand but found that it wasn't real. She was just an apparition and he realized why she was so depressed now.
“Inuyasha...I waited for you for so long. As the Elven Princess Kagome, as Kikyo, and once again as Kagome. Is it always our fate to depart from each other here? Because this is where you gave up your life as Prince Inuyasha to protect me from your people.” she whispered tears shining in her transparent eyes.
Inuyasha could remember that moment in time as clearly as he could remember Kagome waking from his enchanted slumber that Kikyo had sent him into.
FLASHBACK:
They were meeting again. It was forbidden and they knew that. But they were in love. Kagome fell into his chest weeping, knowing well that she would never be allowed to see him again. Inuyasha was worried, why was she so depressed?
“My love, don't cry! What is wrong?” he whispered in her ear as the Goshinboku blew gently in the wind. She just sobbed harder.
“Sango found about you and me. She promised not to tell anyone. But mother...she's threatening Sango's life if she doesn't tell her where I've been going. I don't want Sango to keep her promise if it means her life!” Kagome sobbed into his chest.
Inuyasha tilted Kagome's chin and kissed her on the lips softly. She closed her teary eyes and put her hands in his silver hair. She felt so calm and peaceful around him. People said she was an airhead, someone that liked to argue all the time. But around him she felt graceful.
Then it came. Several arrows launched into the Goshinboku. They broke apart, Inuyasha pushing Kagome behind him. There stood his brother Sesshomaru and his father, Inu-Taisho. Inuyasha looked fearfully at the both of them.
“You have disobeyed the laws, Prince.” his father addressed. “You have fallen in love with an Elven Princess. She must pay the price of enchanting your heart with her life's blood.”
“NO! I would rather you kill me with your sword than lay a hand on her! Father if you kill her, I will follow, and you will have no heir to the throne! For Sesshomaru refuses the throne!” Inuyasha growled at his father. Inuyasha had his cape effectively hiding Kagome from view.
“Father, I suggest you think over his words.” Sesshomaru agreed. Inuyasha had entrusted Sesshomaru with the secret almost four years ago, so he knew it was not his brother that had leaked.
So who had tattled on them? His father sighed turning away. But one warrior refused. When Kagome stepped away from Inuyasha's protective cape they shot a blast of deadly energy at her.
But Inuyasha stepped in front of her and she screamed as he fell to the ground. She caught him and gently lay him on her lap. She was unaware of the blood staining her white gown. She had a hand over the wound that the energy had caused.
Sesshomaru and the rest of the guard were chasing after the warrior that had shot down his brother. Kagome felt tears welling up in her eyes. Inuyasha reached up a bloodied hand and tried to wipe away the tears.
“Don't love...” he whispered. Kagome heard the King of the inu-youkai collapse to his knees as the few warriors that had remained behind rushed to his side.
“No....please don't leave me!” she whimpered, his eyes were growing so dim, and the moonlight wasn't helping any.
“A-Aishertu...” he whispered his hand falling to his stomach as his life fled him. Kagome's wail of pain and anguish sounded throughout the forest. Sango and Miroku gasped as they heard it in the far away Elven Palace.
“NO!” Kagome sobbed, her face buried against his neck, which was growing colder and colder by the minute.
In a daze Kagome took the Tetsusaiga that he had worn at his side. She pulled the sword out and studied it interestedly, before she stabbed herself through the stomach, as she collapsed to her knees she looked at the King who was looking at her in horror.
“I love your son...I will follow him, wherever he shall go...please tell my...mother...I died for love...” she fell on top of Inuyasha her blood intertwining with his to seal the pledge of love.
END OF FLASHBACK
Inuyasha looked at the tree as memories of their times filled his mind. He looked at the transparent Kagome and saw that the tears were now running down her cheeks. She hastily wiped them away.
“The warrior that killed you, ended up killing Sesshomaru, Sango, and Miroku. His name was Onigumo. The bandit that I took in as Kikyo and took care of. But somehow I lost to Kikyo and she became her own person.” Kagome whispered.
Inuyasha almost laughed. “Heh. Ironic, isn't it? That bastard tore us apart twice...” he stopped, Naraku hadn't been responsible for the last time.
“It was me that tore us apart the last time.” Kagome whispered. Inuyasha looked at her quickly. He shook his head angrily, if he had been able to touch her he would have been shaking her as well.
“No...it wasn't! Kagome, I made that pledge to Kikyo...without thinking it through. Kikyo had died because of Naraku's trickery. But when you died I realized it wasn't my fault that she died, but her own. She didn't trust me as much as I didn't trust her.” Inuyasha said. Kagome nodded in understanding and then groaned in pain as her heart began to pound.
“Inuyasha, you and the others must come back through the well! He's drawing close...and I can't fight him by myself!” she whispered fading away. Inuyasha growled at the thought of Naraku even thinking to hurt Kagome again.
He ran back to Sango and Miroku who looked at him in surprise. “You are the Princess's protectors....Miroku you were my best friend all those years ago. Would you really let the past repeat itself and let Kagome die alone, fighting Naraku?” Inuyasha said.
Sango stood up and Miroku was beside her. They both bent slightly at the waist, he smiled slightly and tilted both their chins upward.
“Who are you bowing to? I'm still Inuyasha...let's go stop Naraku!” the two nodded and they ran and break neck speed towards the well. He jumped with them into the well. He was anxious as the time scene surrounded them.
For all he knew Kagome could be dead and the thought made his insides go cold with fear. When he jumped out of the well, now clothed in his Prince outfit (same as in other stories where he is a prince), he smelled her scent and he thanked god that she was still alive.
She was waiting for him at the Goshinboku, her hair and dress blowing in the wind. She was more beautiful than he remembered; she held something in her right hand, which was held up to her chest.
She ran to him, her tears falling freely from her eyes. He wrapped her in his cloak. He heard Sango sigh in delight and then winced as he heard her smack Miroku hard across the face. He heard Kagome giggle slightly and hugged her tighter.
“He won't lay a hand on you!” Inuyasha whispered.
“Who? Miroku or Naraku?” she whispered back. He let her lean away slightly so that he could study her eyes.
“Both. But mostly Naraku, he will not tear us apart again. I swear this to you!” he whispered meant for her ears only. She nodded, then leaned up and gently met his lips. Inuyasha gasped. It was the first kiss that they had shared in almost six hundred years. Her lips were so soft, his hands tightened around her waist as she seemed to collapse completely against his chest.
“Aishertu, aishertu, aishertu!” she whispered over and over again as they broke apart. Then an evil wind picked up, turning the blue sky black. Kagome turned around and watched as Naraku and his incarnations appeared before them. Naraku smirked at them in amusement.
“So Princess, you are once again alive. I thought for sure that you would learn your lesson after dying three times.” Naraku directed at Kagome. Kagome clenched her fist tightly around the few precious shards that they had. She felt them cut into her skin and felt the blood staining the shards.
“I refuse to give into the likes of you!” she hissed at him in an un-Kagome like voice. Naraku smirked at her again. Kagura shot an attack at the others. Inuyasha growled, he didn't have time to be distracted. He ran at Kagura pulling out Tetsusaiga and it transformed instantly. As he and the others fought Kagura and Kanna. Kagome battled Naraku.
She cried out as a bolt of energy hit her, she dodged the next one. She had no weapons with her, so fighting that way was marked off the list of ways to try and defeat Naraku. And she wasn't exactly sure how to use the Shikon jewel so there was another way crossed off. She tripped and cried out as she landed on the ground. Naraku laughed holding his hand out toward her.
When his energy attack reached her she put the hand up holding the jewel shards and blocked the attack. She opened her eyes and gasped. A purple shield surround her entire body blocking Naraku's attack. She opened her hand and saw that the jewel shards were glowing, she saw that they were still stained with her blood.
“You little brat! Looks like I have to do things with my own hands!” he came up and grabbed her by the throat. She began to choke and cough as he cut off her air passage. She struggled, trying to make him let go. She pried at the hands around her throat. His eyes were glowing with a malicious light.
“L-let g-go! S-scum bag!” she choke out. She tried to kick him with her feet, which were dangling in the air because he was holding her up.
“Let her go!” Inuyasha cried running at him. But Kanna flew in his way, her mirror trapping him with its deadly glare.
“Hiraikotsu!” Sango shouted, the boomerang hit the mirror but it reversed its course towards Sango who had jumped out of the way. Inuyasha ran up to Naraku and punched him in the gut. Kagome once again fell to the ground, holding her bruised throat.
Inuyasha growled and thrust his sword at Naraku, who laughing dodged the attack. Kagome looked around, desperate to help Inuyasha. Then she saw it. A bow and arrow lying against the Goshinboku. She ran to them and picked it up.
She knotched an arrow and smiled slightly. It was good to have the harsh wood of a bow rubbing into her skin, and the feathers at the end of each arrow tickling her fingers again. She aimed the arrow best she could at Naraku. When he was within her shooting range she let the arrow fly.
It hit target, and when it did a burst of bright white light blinded them all. Inuyasha fell to the ground as the light touched him. His hair turned midnight black and his eyes hazel. His clothes changed back into his school clothes.
Miroku and Sango's clothes also changed back into that of school clothing. Kagura and Kanna screamed as they changed into dust. When the three remaining looked towards Kagome they were startled.
She was standing in front of the Goshinboku with the entire jewel in her hands. Her hair hadn't shortened from her Princess form but she had been put back into her school uniform like the rest of them.
Her eyes closed and she fell to the ground, the jewel escaping her grasp. They watched in horror as it blew into dust. Inuyasha ran to Kagome and cradled her against his chest.
“Kagome!” Inuyasha cried shaking Kagome hard. She groaned trying to get him to stop shaking her.
“I'm dizzy enough, so stop adding to it, you jerk!” she yelled, her eyes snapping open. She glared at him and he laughed slightly at the fact. She hit him on the chest. Sango and Miroku sighed in exasperation as the two fought.
And quite suddenly there was silence. Sango and Miroku looked over at the two and found that they were doing something besides arguing! They were kissing.
When they separated Inuyasha bent down to her ear. “I kept my pledge to you, Kagome. I found you...and I'm never going to let you go again!” Inuyasha promised.
“I'm going to hold you to that.” she whispered back.
THE END!
