Chapter 1: a prayer for a hero.

 

Times were rough, especially for Midoriko.

 

Everyday seemed to be another problem. If it wasn't her parents, it was her brother. And if it wasn't her brother, it was herself! Things constantly got more and more confusing, and often, she was clueless with the things around her. For the last few months, she wished, more than anything, that her hero could be a real, breathing person. But it was only an anime, a cartoon for that matter. She had plenty of pictures, drawings and clips of him, but no way to thank him in words and in person. How can you? The very idea sounds so ridicules; people would think she's mentally disabled. But still, as much as it was impossible, she still hoped for a miracle. Maybe it would happen, if she waited long enough.

 

Days went by. Weeks, then months. But no sign or answer for her prayers. Could be she was praying in vain. In short, a total waste of time! Actually, deep inside her heart, she knew this was very childish. That crying probably wouldn't solve anything. But she kept praying, begging, and hoping. She said the same thing to herself every night: if g-d thought she deserved a granted wish, he would surely give it to her. She just needed to be patient. And so, she had.

 

The only thing was: how long would it take? What would she have to sacrifice? The answers were unknown. But she absolutely didn't care. Life itself was pointless without her hero, INUYASHA! He saved her everyday. But he had no idea of it at all! He truly saved her life, in more ways than hed ever know…

 

 

Note to readers: I refused to say no to the making of this amazing adventure! Of course, most of it was written in classes. It's the time that my imagination is kicking. BTW, my first epic is going to be updated ASAP. “ THE TELIVISION PORTAL” ( my first epic) was really my first true novel. I haven't finished it for many reasons. One is that im kinda lazy. But hey, my life right now isn't exactly a bed of roses, lol! Don't worry, eventually, I WILL get it over and done with. In the meantime, enjoy my second epic. Its short, but its compelling and a good thrill! ( with romance of course..!!!)
