"Kagome your worthless, a stupid,ugly bitch.Go back to your time."

Kagome closed her eyes and let the tears fall again.His words rang through her ears.Letting out another sob, she fell down on her bed and fell asleep, replaying what had happened in so little time but with such deep hatred and depression.....

Kagome laughed as Shippo stuck his tounge out to Inu Yasha as he ran away."Inu Yasha!Osuwari!"Kagome yelled when she saw him pummeling the helpless kit.A growl of fustration and a roar of "KAGOME!" rang through the forest.Kagome sighed and rubbed her temples with her smooth,elegant fingers.Kagome watched as Inu Yasha rose from the 3 foot crater,walking towards her."Oi!Wench!Why'd you do that?!"He yelled.Kagome let out a sigh in exasperation."Because he is only a child Inu Yasha!You were hurting him!" "He deserved it!" "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" "You stupid bitch!Kikyo was never as immature as you!"

Kagome gasped and Inu Yasha froze.Kagome felt pain's dagger dig itself in her cheast.Inu Yasha chewed his lip.'O shit Kagome...I'm sorry....Im just...' He thought as he looked into her soulful eyes."Inu Yasha..."She said tearfully and ran into the forest."Kagome!"He yelled and ran after her.Kagome cried and her tears became one with the wind.Ignoring the hanyou's calls, she ran with all her strength.The tree's,flowers and land became a blur and her heart a stone as she remembered those words.Why did he always have to be mean to her? Why did he always have to compare her to Kikyo?

Kagome stumbled on a uprooted tree root and crashed upon the floor."Ow!"She cried as she wiped away her tears.Seeing her crimson red blood dripping down her skinned knee, she watched it stain the soil beneath her.Time became eternity for her as it slowly dripped.Drip.Drop.Drip.Drop.Kagome sighed and rose from the ground.It was useless.He wasnt coming.Wiping the blood from her knee, she prepared to leave.She stopped when she heard something.A rattle...?"Hsssssssss"Kagome froze and turned to see a large snake youkai.She felt the blood leave her face as it's large body slithered towards her.It's large,yellow eyes gleamed with lust.Lust for power."Jeweeelll ssssshhardsssss.."It hissed.Kagome gulped and backed away.

"Giivee meeeee.."It demanded in a venom voice."N-no!"Kagome said in a wavering voice as she backed away.The thing raised its body up, and towered over her."Diiiiiie!"It screeched.Kagome closed her eyes and prayed for Inu Yasha to show up.She screamed when a fang ended up right beside her face,sunk into the tree.Backing away, she turned to run.The snake flipped its tail and enclosed her in it.Kagome watched in horror as it drug her indept body to its mouth...

"BASTARD!"A gruff voice yelled.Kagome saw a red blur come from the air.Before she knew it, she saw the snake's carcass smoking.Shivering with fright, she stumbled away from its tail,she plucked the five jewel shards from its forhead and placed them into the little bottle that held the others."You stupid bitch!Your fucking worthless!"Inu Yasha screamed after he sheathed Tessaiga.Kagome stepped back from the hanyou."Na-nani?"She whispered in a choked voice.Inu Yasha growled.Inside his heart was pounding.He felt like he was having a heart attack.He had let Kagome have time to herself but thats when he heard the snake's rattle.He had ran only to see it attack.He thought she was dead but gladly the fang had sunk in the tree behind her.When he had seen her being dragged into its mouth,his breathing stopped.Rage had consumed him.That youkai was going to hurt his Kagome!

Inu Yasha glared at the hurt girl.Thats when he remebered his promise the night before.Kikyo had asked him to fulfill his promise.He felt his heart sadden.He looked into her choclate eyes that were filling with tears from his words....

Last night:

Kikyo stared at her old lover.She knew he was torn between she and her reincarnation.Inu Yasha stared at Kikyo in pain and guilt."Kikyo.."He murmured."Inu Yasha, you promised to protect me always.When Naraku killed me, you failed your promise to me.Always means forever.I ask you to fullfill your promise to me.I wish for you to be with me always."Kikyo said, her eyes a steely brown.Inu Yasha was tounge tied.Always?'Kagome...'He thought.Sighing, he nodded."What of the girl?"Kikyo asked as he turned to leave.

"I will rid of her."Inu Yasha said in a whisper.Kikyo felt truimph hit her.'Why?Look at what you have become.You kill his new found happiness for your own gain.What happened to the kind,loving miko that wished for acceptance?'A hushed voice demanded.Kikyo pushed the voice away.'She died 50 years ago.'She answered the voice as she watched her lover walk into the night.

Back to the moment:

Inu Yasha had planned on how to rid of Kagome.He stared at her.He loved her soo much.He only wished to love her.To wake up at the beginning of dawn and feel her in his arms.To see her eyes fill with warmth and happinnes because of him.To sigh in exasperation and anoyance because of him.To see her holding a child, his child, and loving it with all her being.He looked at the girl from the past.Long ago he had hated her because she looked like Kikyo, his dead lover who had killed him.Long ago he swore he would never like her.But once he got to know the annoying girl, she turned out to not be like Kikyo like he had assumed.Kikyo had used him for his own gain, she was always collected and calm, he had never seen her angry.Kagome let her emotions go, from her being happy one moment, to angry at the next.She was a storm that had come and unsettled his life.He had first seen her as a bitchy,clumsy,dominating,annoying girl but as they went on this quest,the quest for the Shikon no Tama, he became to know her.To like her.And eventually love her.He tried to push away the feelings by being mean to her,yelling at her,calling her names and ignoring her.But she always seemed to have a specail smile just for him and a specail light in her eyes directed to him only.She always was there,from Yura to Sesshomaru.She had saved his life countless times.She accepted him as Inu Yasha the Hanyou.Not the Inu Yasha who can become human but as himself.He had hated her for these feelings, and he still did, but each day his feelings over came his resolve.Her simple gestures and actions caused him a calming feeling.In a simple sentence she could destroy his world.Thats why he needed her to go.They had no future.He was promised to Kikyo, and she was his weakness.He was a hanyou, part demon with many enemies.If she got hurt, he would go mad.If she died, he would lose all reasons to live.She was a weakness, a crack in his armour.He couldn't have that.He needed to have all the strength he could have without having to worry about some annoying wench who could be his down fall.Already Naraku had gotten away even when he had used Kongousouha.The final battle was slowly creeping towards them, and he had this feeling that Kagome would get hurt.If she died he would die as well.And he needed to live after the battle to fulfill his dept to Kikyo.

"Inu...Inu Yasha.."She whispered in hurt.Kagome stared in his confused,angry eyes.She watched as they became warm, then icy, then angry, then depressed...so many emotions from the usually reserved hanyou.She had long ago fallen in love with him.These two years had brought so much pain,maturing and love into her tiny world.She tried to manage her school life and that of saving the world in her harsh,confusing teenage years.Two years she had spent gathering jewel shards, making friends with a lecherous monk, orphaned kitsune and a taijya girl with a large fire neko.But all of this for a hanyou.When she first met him,she had thought him arrogant, cocky and a real bastard.But when she got to know him, he became selfless, understanding and protective.He tried to hide his feelings for he was afraid.Afraid of being hurt like he did those many years ago from Kikyo.Kagome understood this.When he first protected her she felt her heart expand with a warmth,A warmth that steadily grew with each passing day in his presence.But with that warmth came the cold grip of fear and depression whenever he compared her to Kikyo, visited the dead miko or called her names.In these two years she had grown more mature then expected for a girl of seventeen years.Even now, she was still growing under the hanyou's treament.Her love flourished everytime she looked into his golden orbs or when she saw him.When he protected her, her cheast felt it would burst and her cheeks tingled.When he held her in his arms in those rare moments,she couldn't breath because she was so happy.When he looked at her with warmth, her heart pounded against her rib cages, making her feel dizzy with love.She was so happy with Inu Yasha, but so sad also.Kagome looked into Inu Yasha cold,uncaring gaze.

"Inu Yasha..?"She questioned again.Inu Yasha knew it had to be now.'Ruin everything now.Let her know there's nothing for the both of you.Let her go back to her time and become the doc-o-to-r she wants to be.Leave her so she can live a normal life.A life without danger,hate,violence.But most of all, without a hanyou like you who hurts her all the time.'Inu Yasha listened to his concience.'I cant, but I have to.Gomen nasai Kagome, Ai shiteru.'He thought.Looking away from her,he prepared for his onslaught.

'Now!'A voice yelled.Inu Yasha turned and stared at her, his face full of hate and anger.Kagome froze at the look.'Inu Yasha....?'She thought confusedly."You stupid ningen bitch....give me my jewel shards."He growled,his eyes flaring."Inu Yasha...what are you talking about?"Kagome choked out, trying to ignore the stabbing in her heart."You fool.You thought I loved you.You thought because I protected you, I cared for you.Your wrong you stupid bitch.I only wanted the jewel shards.I put up with your digusting,ningen self to get what I want."Kagome gasped and blinked back her tears.Inu Yasha plastered a smirk on his face,but in truth he was dieing inside as he saw the hurt filling the girl's eyes.'Gomen ne..'He thought again."To become a full youkai.You fool.You thought I liked you.Cared for you.Wanted you.I put up with you somewhat because of your Shikon sensing abilites and the fact you looked like Kikyo.But you'll never be Kikyo.Your just an annoying little girl who cant even aim a arrow.Why I saved your worthless life all those times I dont know, I should have just used Miroku.He can sense them as well.Or better yet, take Kikyo in.I'd rather go to hell with Kikyo then put up with another day with you."He growled.

Kagome felt her tears slide down her face.'Inu Yasha...no....you dont mean it...I know you dont...I..you...it cant be!'She cried within.Kagome kneeled on the floor infront of him."Inu Yasha...you dont mean it...please..."She cried,her eyes puffing from crying and her throat choking from pain.Inu Yasha stared down at the girl grovelling at his feet.'Kagome....dont...you dont understand how much this hurts already...'He sobbed inside."I do you worthless wench!Now give me my fucking jewel shards or I'll have to take them!"He growled.Kagome shuddered underneath the hard gaze."N-no....you dont mean it!I know you dont...remember..when you warmed me in the hut when I was getting sick?And our first kiss..?Re-remember....wh-when..I-I.. I said I would always be with you...?Inu Yasha....ai shiteru!"She sobbed as she flung herself onto him.

Inu Yasha froze.It wasn't going well.She admited her love.Looking down at the crying girl,Inu Yasha drew in a shaky breath.'Kagome,it just wont work out.Im not for you.Your too good for me!Im just a hanyou!...'He thought sadly.Putting on his angry,disgusted face, he grabbed the girl and flung her on the floor.Kagome eeped and sobbed as her soft,sob worn body met the ground.Kagome crawled back to him."Inu Yasha.."She sobbed as she begged him.

"You can take your love and shuve it up your ass for all I care! I dont need your love!I've got Kikyo's! Now give me what I really want from you, you ugly whore!Give me the jewel shards!"He growled,flexing his claws.Kagome sobbed and looked up.She looked into his eyes,searching.Looking for that trace of warmth she had seen before.His eyes were a dead wasteland to her.She watched as he flexed his claws menacingly.'Its true....he doesnt care for me...I gave up my friends...my family...my school...to be hated...'Kagome thought dully.

Inu Yasha watched as Kagome's tears dried and her face became emotionless.This was worse then her crying.Kagome looked up at the hanyou's angry face.Slowly she looked down at the jewel shards grasped in her white,knuckled hand.All this pain....to get nothing.Her dreams werre crushed.Her hopes devoured.But most of all, her heart was dead.Kagome felt no life in her body.Only the numb,stinging reminder of his hate.His hate for her.

Kagome stood slowly,ignoring the dirt that stained her clothes.Letting the tears fall, her face stayed as a dolls.Never moving.The only indication of her hurt,was the long,crystal tears that slipped down.Inu Yasha gulped and pushed down the hatred for himself that swelled inside him.He felt like crying as he watched Kagome become nothing.Because of him."Give me my fucking jewel shard NOW!"He yelled.Birds flew from their nests in fright.

Kagome looked up in pain.Slowly,hesitainly, she dropped the bottle on the ground.The shards spilled from the bottle.Kagom looked down in pain as they scattered on the floor infront of him.Her love.Her life.Inu Yasha growled in annoyance and picked up the shards, and put the top on."Now get the fuck out of here before I kill your sorry ass."He snarled.Kagome turned and walked away but then stopped.

Inu Yasha watched as she came just a few inches away form him.He watched as she raised her hands.He back away.Kagome's eyes filled with more tears."Onegai.."She asked pleadingly.She then rushed forth and drew him into a hug.Inu Yasha froze.'Why doesnt she go....why cant she leave me be....its killing me doing this to her!'He screamed inside.Bringing his claws to her cheast, ignoring the hentai feel of it, he pushed her roughly into a tree.Kagome winced and let out a startled gasp.Inu Yasha didnt even wait to see what was held in her hands.Without out turning back, he leapt away with the jewel shards,intending to dwell alone.

Kagome watched as the crimson red firgure leapt away from her.Out of her life.For forever.Looking down in her hands, she grasped the sacred rosary to her cheast.Sobbing she held onto the little peice of him she had left with all her strength.
