InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Roses Tears ❯ Sad Thoughts and Findings ( Chapter 2 )
Sango looked up into the Goshinbuko tree accusingly. The hanyou hadn't come down for days. All he did was stare out in the distance, a look of self loathing and depression stamped on his face.Miroku came up beside the taijya."What is wrong with him?"The houshi asked worriedly.Sango sighed. She had watched Kagome leave. She hadn't even brought her pack with her weird objects with her to the well. She had seen something that broken her heart. Her dear friend sobbing the only cry a woman could know. The cry of the loss of a true love and the knowledge of their betrayle. She had tearfully acknowleged the sacred beads held tightly to heart with such love and desperation, it brought tears to her own eyes.Sango felt the hatred and anger swell and grow in her like no other."He broke Kagome-chan's heart."She said icily.Miroku rose his brows in surprise.Just a few weeks ago he had seen Inu Yasha looking at Kagome with a puppy love look on his face."Are you sure of this Lady Sango?"He asked gravely.
Sango nodded."Kagome came back crying as if she had the most dearest thing to her taken. She had his rosary clutched to her breast and her shikon shards weren't around her neck no longer. She didn't even acknowledge me.She only kept crying and singing that song "Every Heart" by that weird BoA band. Her eyes were dull and only seemed to be filled with pain."Sango said sadly, her voice getting lower with her own sadness.Miroku listened to the sad description."Poor Kagome-sama.."Miroku said sadly.Kagome was such a pure soul and she loved Inu Yasha so much.As she once said, she "wore her heart on her sleeve".Miroku sighed and sat on a large rock, his face calm and collected.Sango glared at the houshi."Do you not care?!"She demanded hotily.
Miroku exhaled a held breath. He closed his eyes and started meditating.Sango listened to silence met her answer.Stomping towards the houshi, she grabbed his collar and shook him until he opened his eyes.Miroku glared at Sango.Seeing her angry gaze he sighed."I do care Sango, but who am I to interfere in their relationship? We have both seen this coming ever since we heard of Inu Yasha's promise to Kikyo-sama.It was only a matter of time."The monk said gently.Sango let him go eruptly and sat down on the rock next to him.
She felt her own tears flowing.Miroku looked on in wonderment as the taijya started crying. He had only seen her cry when they thought they were going to die and when she was drunk from the youkai's intoxicating attack."Sa-Sango?"He asked hesitaintly.Sango ignored him."Sh-she was so happy when I last talked to her.Sh-she said she loved him and would give her life for him.She was plannig to move to this Era to be with him."She sobbed.
Miroku felt like he was winded from this news.A sickening illness formed in the pit of his stomach.Anger at Inu Yasha. Pity and Love for Kagome. He was so damn confused. He slowly pulled the crying warrioress into his arms.Sango tensed."Shh Sango.I am trying to console you, not bed you."Miroku said gently.Sango nodded and grasped onto his robes.Miroku sighed and leaned back as the girl sobbed into his robes.Glaring up into the tree, he prayed to the Kami's for some enlightment on the situation at hand.
Inu Yasha listened to Sango's confession.Tears welled up into the hanyou's eyes.Growling in annoyance, he roughly wiped them away and blinked them back.He was a hanyou, a Half demon. He wouldn't cry for a girl.An annoying girl. His gaze hardened as he listened to Sango's weeps. Staring up into the sky, he watched as the stars twinkled in helpless abandonment.Snarling in agitation, he leapt off the tree branch and hurried to the well house. He wished to smell her scent. Her scent always calmed him.
As he reached the well he smelt her sakura/jasmine smell.Inhaling it slowly with pleasure, he slowly slid down the side of the well.Leaning his back against the rough wood of it, he started thinking.Thinking of what he had done.'I did it for her.She was going to get hurt anyways.I was leading her on a path that had a dead end.I couldnt continue lieing to her.Letting her hope that we had something besides dreams.'He thought sadly. He knew deep down, that he could of had something.
Deep down, in the bottom of his concience, a faint voice called out to him.It knew he wasn't guilty and in dept to Kikyo. It knew that in fact it was Naraku's fault she was dead and no protection could have kept Kikyo alive. Neither of them could have lived much longer if they were so easily tricked. Their love was true but misplaced. They easily distrusted eachother and accused one another quickly, without reasoning.Inu Yasha sighed and felt the tears well up again as he remebered Kagome's sad,low begging.Begging for him.The tears slowly crept out of his eyes and made a thin, wet line down his face. This time he didn't even try to wipe them away.
Shipo sat at the campfire. He sobbed into Kilala's fur.The fire neko purred to the kit, trying her best to comfort him.Shippo felt a hate build within him.A hate for Inu Yasha. He had taken away his oka-saan.He had destroyed his chance of having some sort of family. He took away his happiness. No longer would he feel Kagome's arms around him.No longer would she bring him candy or treats and laugh as he happily thanked her.No more chit chats in the middle of the night. No more play fights in the hot springs. No more love. The kit sobbed even harder at these thoughts.Thoughts of the one person who had loved him besides those who had left him alone in the world.
