Inu Yasha sat on the side of the stream, looking into the water.He watched as it slowly trickled and flowed over the rocks.Sighing he leaned against his arms underneath his head and gazed into the sky.Rolling clouds that were a parchment white and looked fluffy like Kagome's cat,Buyo, took on shape's before the hanyou's eyes.He blinked as he saw Kagome's form underneath a sakura tree."Nani..?!"He said in wonderment.Bringing himself back up, he watched as the mirage picked up a stone to its cheast.Shaking his head he muttered out loud."No...Kagome's back in her own time.."He mumbled to himself, but he couldnt tear his gaze.Blinking again the image was gone.Growling in annoyance, he turned onto his stomach and stared on as golden fish swam underneath the mirror water.

"Damn wench.I knew she was nothing but trouble when I first met her."He scowled to himself."Inu Yasha..."A whispery tone was heard."Ki-Kikyo..?"He yelled.A red and white figure appeared.Her slanted brown eyes took in the troubled hanyou."You have rid of the girl?"She asked slowly.Inu Yasha looked away from Kikyo and placed his arms into his sleeves, sitting Indian style."Yes."He said gruffly, trying to cover his sadness.Kikyo sensed the boy's despair.

Kikyo watched as her lover ignored her and stared off into nontheness.She slwoly and gently walked to him.Inu Yasha stared up to see Kikyo's beautiful,cold face above him."What troubles you,Inu Yasha."She said simply.Inu Yasha turned away from her."Kagome took it bad..."He mumbled.Kikyo raised a brow."Maybe my reincarnation did have more then liking emotion towards you."Inu Yasha's growl confirmed Kikyo's thoughts.The girl must have announced her love to the hanyou."Inu Yasha, I am not sorry for what I have made you done.You made the promise towards me.You betrayed me.You killed me."Kikyo's steely voice flowed into Inu Yasha's sensitive ears and filled them.

Inu Yasha listened to Kikyo's chanting and felt himself flinch from her accusations.'You made the promise towards me. You betrayed me. You killed me...' the words rang inside his head."Damnit Kikyo I didnt kill you!"He yelled, his claws clenching.Birds flew from their nests in fright.Inu Yasha felt dread and relief fill him.He turned to see Kikyo's hard face filled with wonderment."Inu Yasha..."She began."Kikyo..."He said painfully."Kikyo, I didnt kill you.Naraku did.I didnt betray you, you betrayed me.When you shot me to the tree you betrayed me for I didnt do anything to you.If our love was as strong as we thought,how were we so easily manipulated?"He questioned softly to the sad Kikyo.Kikyo turned away from her lover's sad gaze.Sitting on a rock, she looked at him."I...dont know."She murmured as confusion clouded her usual dead eyes.

Inu Yasha sat down near the dead miko and looked at her.In her he saw Kagome."Kikyo..50 years ago our love died.50 years ago we lost our chance to be togeather...now I have a chance to move on and so do you."He said, his eyes bright with love and pity.Kikyo turned her head from him."Naraku..."She began."I will kill him Kikyo.I will avenge you.But..I can't go to hell with you."His voice was firm.Kikyo turned to see the hanyou's dependant, assured gaze.

She looked up at the boy she had once loved and had meant to use to be normal.To be loved as every woman to be.'Maybe, our love wasnt as strong..?'Inu Yahs kneeled infront of Kikyo, his eyes bright with love for her."Kikyo we loved eachother deeply.Even today I feel the happiness that I felt when I was near you."He closed his eyes, cherishing the warm,loving memories of the once alive Kikyo and him....

Kikyo sat in the boat,their discussion of the Shikon no Tama and him becoming human lingered in the airHe was hesitaint to become ningen for he had wished to become a full youkai.Inu Yasha pushed the bamboo pool into the gentle,calm water and stared at the beautiful woman he loved so much that sat infront of him.Kikyo blushed and continued staring off into the descending horizon.Pushing towards shore, he rose from the boat and went onto the dock to wait fo her to get out.Kikyo grabbed her bow and arrows and got out of the bouyont structure.As she left the boat, she stumbled on her bamboo sandle on her long,red miko hakaama pants.Gasping a "o" the miko fell forward.Inu Yahsa seeing his love's falling, rushed forward and steadied her before she fell on the hard wooden deck.

Kikyo blinked and looked up to see Inu Yasha's astonished face.Staring up into Inu Yahsa's golden eyes, she felt time freeze.Inu Yasha fastily dropped the bamboo pole and drew her into him."Kikyo...."He murmured."I'll become ningen.There's nothing to hesitaite about. I'll become ningen."Inu Yasha stared into the girls ebony black hair as he felt her hands lightly rest on his cheast."Inu Yasha.."She murmured in love."And since you've been alone for all this time I could.."He continued. "Thats enough."Kikyo said gently.She drew away from him and looked up at him."You dont need to say anything else."She said softly.Inu Yasha looked into her brown depths."Kikyo...I want you to know..."He whispered.Kikyo closed her eyes and raised her face, sealing her lips onto his.Inu Yasha stopped his admitance of love and felt a warmth build in him.Closing his eyes,he returned the kiss.The sunset set on the two lovers as they experienced love's first kiss.

Later, the two held hands and walked towards the village."Inu Yasha..Can I...?"Inu Yasha turned to her as they walked."What?"Kikyo looked into his golden orbs."To be with me like this..is it really alright?"The girl asked as they walked hand in hand in the dark."Keh!Dont go on and on about such obvious things."He sighed as they paused and stared ahead of them.Kikyo turned to him and said"Tormorrow afternoon ..."She began."Hmm?"Kikyo looked at him."In the western forest in front of the goshinbuko..Please wait there.I'll come bearing the Shikon no Tama."Inu Yasha looked into her loving gaze and nodded."Hai.I understand."He whispered,drawing her closer and continuing to walk hand in hand to the village underneath the stars, the two lover's dreamed of a future that was not meant to be.

Kikyo shook her head from the memory flash.Inu Yasha shook his as well.Kikyo raised her hand in wonderment as she felt the tears that had fallen from her eyes.Inu Yasha felt his."How did it go so wrong."He choked out, his breathing raspy.Kikyo shook her head."I was prophosised that if I ever fell in love I would die a horrible death.." she explained.Inu Yasha nodded, wiping the wetness off of his face,bringing her into his arms."Kikyo....gomen ne.."He whispered.Kikyo brought her arms hesitainly around his frame."Gomen,Inu Yasha."She said in a sad voice.Closing her eyes she took in the warmth of the embrace she had so loved those decades ago.Drawing back, Inu Yasha looked into her gaze.Kikyo brought her face to his and descended her lips on his.Ignoring the cold chill, he kiss her back like on that boat ride that seemed like a dream.

Finally finishing, the two looked at eachother.Inu Yasha felt sadness and happiness well within him as he saw his old Kikyo.Her eyes were soft,no longer the dead colness.Her eyes bright with unshed tears."Kikyo.."Kikyo brought her smooth,cold fingers to his lips."Inu Yasha...ai shiteru...but..you must be with my reincarnation.I am not alive nor dead and have an obligation to fullfill."She whispered.Inu Yasha nodded."You love her very much ne?"Kikyo asked hurtingly.Inu Yasha looked away from her."Hai."Kikyo stood and looked away."I will take my leave then, Inu Yasha.Maybe..one day..our souls will met again..in better circumstances."She said,ignoring the dieing of what little of her soul was experiencing inside of her right now.Inu Yasha sighed and brought his claws up and cupped her face."Maybe Kikyo..."He said sadly.Turning away, Kikyo's shindumachu appeared and followed her as she dissapeared into the forest to find Naraku.
