"We're going on a shard hunt already??" Aymia asks. "But we just got here!!"
"Yes, I know. But even though the shikon no tama isn't complete, the shards are very powerful by themselves. And we can not let the shards fall into the wrong hands." Kagome replys.
"heh, like Naraku." Inu-yasha added.
"Isn't that the guy who started this whole thing?" Aymia asked.
"Yeah... he did." Sango replied.
"And the sooner we get rid of him, the better." Miroku added.
~*~
A few days into their trip, the shard hunterscome across a village. Which was rather large.
'Must be a city rather than a village... its just way to big' Ayamia thought to herself.
"It will be gettin dark soon.." Miroku implied.
"Yeah and?" Sango replyed, turning to the monk.
"I think we should stop here and find a place to stay for the night, that is all"
"Why should we sstop now?" Inu-yasha questioned. "we still have day light left. We're gonna cam p out in the woods."
"But Inu-yasha!" Kagome wined.
Inu-yasha winced, and flattened his ears to his head. he knew he wasn't gonna win this fight, since Kagome entered into it.
"We've camped out for the whole trip!! can we justj stay here for one night." she pleaded. " Please, Inu-yasha."
"Yeah, Inu-yasha, we can only go so far with what day light we have left." Ayamia agreed.
"Keh" the inu hanyou replied in defeat. "What ever..."
"we'll be checking out the markets while miroku "exercieses" a place for us to stay." Sango threw over her shoulder while walking away with the other two girls.
"Keh"
"Lets begin our search, shall we?" the monk ased the hanyou.
"You know i hate you, Miroku?"
~*~
"Oh look at this kimono! Isn't it just the cutest!" Sango squeeled.
' Yeah sure..." Ayamia replyed.
She was getting bored outa her mind. Sure she love shopping just like the next girl. But for some reason, the shops just could not hold her attention. Kagome noticed her cousin spacing out.
"Hey ayam, are you ok?" Kagome asked, voice full of concern. "Your acting really spacy..."
"Oh, I'm fine, just a lil bored."
"Ok, if you say so.."
The girls start to walk farther down the road. The black smiths shop, out of all of the shops, caught Ayamia's attention. The display held many swords. All of them ranging from size, shape and weight.
Seeing one that she likes, Ayamia picks it up. Its a light weight sword, only about as long as her fore arm.
"Ahh, that one is a beauty isn't it?"
"Yes it is...."
For the whole tem to fifteen seconds that she thought about it, the guy looked a little to young to be a professional black smith, maybe an apprentis. But that didn't matter to her, she just wanted the blade.
"Are you interested in purchasing the sword?" he asked.
"I am, but I am afriad I don't have any money with me..." Ayamia replyed with a sigh.
Ayamia made a move to put the blade back to where it was displayed. The apprentis saw this and spoke up.
"That can be worked out, that is, if you have something of value," The man suggested, "we could make a trade."
"Ummm... i dunno... i don't think i do... wait! I just might...." Ayamia replied, thinking deeply.
Kagome and Sangolooked at her with questioning looks. But she dismissed their looks as she found what she was looking for. She pulled it out of her baggy pant pocket.
"I almost forgot that I had this!" Ayamia said as she held outthe object.
"What is it?" the young man asked, while looking at the box in Ayamia's had.
Ayamia opened the little box and pulled out its content. It was a gold chain, long enough so you can just slip it over you head, and not have to un-hook it. On the chain was a two intertiwning hearts charm, which was a combination of regular gold and white gold.
"Its a necklace." she explained. "Surely this is worth just as much as the blade."
"Yes, but what use can i get out of jewelery?"
"Well... you can give it to your sweetheart..."she joked. "Or you can just sell it.... So do we have a deal...?"
"Ahhh... fine, deal"
And with that they traeded their objects.
"Ayam.. where did you get the necklace from?" Kagome asked.
"Oh, that. I got it from an ex-boyfriend. He gave it to me before i came here..."
"Why would your ex give you something so nice?"
"Well... i broke up with him that day... and he wouldn't take it back...."
"Oh ok."
"We should find the guys and see if they found a place to sleep." Sango said.
Kagome giggled. "Yeah, we should. I wonder which one of these places Miroku conned." Kagome turned to her cousin to ask, "Ayam, why did you want the blade anyway?"
Ayamia shrugged. "Dunno, I really liked it... And you never know if i might need it later on.."

A few days later the shard hunters were well into the Western territories.
"Kagome, can you sence the damn shard yet?" Inu-yasha asked impatently.
"Hai, Its faint but i can feel it." She sdaid pointing off into the woods, "It feels like its that way."
`Good' Inu-yasha thought to himself. `The sooner we find th e damn thing, the sooner i can get the fuck outta here.'
He hated being here. Being so close to his brother. And everyine knew it. Except for Ayamia that is.
"This Sesshomaru guy, who is he, and why doy you hate him so much, Inu-yasha?" Ayamia asked.
Taking it took a few seconds for the hanyou to answer, that this was a touchy subject.
"The no good bastard is my half brother." Inu-yasha replyed. "A cold blooded fucker too. Just to warn ya, don't let him catch you alone or unguarded, cuz he finds joy in killing humans. And he wont think twice to kill a girl."
"And he also owns these lands, thats why Inu-yasha wants to make this trip fast." Miroku put in.
"Oh, ok."
"The jewel shard... We're getting close." Kagome informed the group.
"Good, the we can get outta here!" snorted Inu-yasha.
The shard hunters came to a small clearing in the woods. On the other side of the clearing was a squirel youkai. These youkai are very small, very weak and stupid. The only plus side to them is their bites. You do NOT wanna get biten by one of those things.
"Theres the shard, he's holding it." Kagome pointed out.
Inu-yasha walks up to the small youkai. "Alright nut-muncher, hand over the shard and I'll let you live" Inu-yasha said while crouching in front of the squirel.
Out of the middle of no where, a snake youkai hopped, (well kinda) out of the bushes behind the squirel and swallows it whole!
"AHHH! The shard!" Shippo yelled.
"I'm right here runt, I think I saw it happen!" he yelled while grabbingthe snake youkai below the head. "You have to make this hard, don't you, you damn snake."
With that said, he cut the snake in half using his claws above the lump that was the squirel. Picking up one end of the snake, Inu-yashsa squeezed out the stupid squirel. With a cough, the little youkai gave up the shard and scappered away
"All rigth we got the damn thing, lets get outta here."Inu-yasha said while handing the shard to Kagome.
"Ok, just let me put it with the rest of the shards."
She pulled the jar out of her shirt and put the shard in. While she tucked the little jar back into her shirt, the group heard a russle in the foliage.
Inu-yasha sniffed loudly. "Damn it." he growled while placing his hand on Tetsusaiga's hilt.
"Inu-yasha, what is it?" Kagome asked with her voice full of concern.
"So we meet again, Inu-yasha."
