Inuyasha sighed as he ponder Keade's question.
But it was the truth that he had slept with Kikyo.
If it had been only once, gods how long ago that was.
"Well Inuyasha, Have ye?" Keade asked looking at
him with great haste.
"Yes. I did sleep with her. But only once." Inuyasha stated.
He couldn't help but wonder what she was getting at.
Keade nodded slowly, one more question and she would know
the truth.
"How many months before my sister's death did ye do so?"
Inuyasha thought for a few moments and gasped.
"It was two months before... Before Kikyo's death."
That was all Keade needed to know and it s
eal her thoughts as true. The child that Kagome was carrying was
the one her sister was meant to have but never had the chance to.
"Just as I thought. Sango will ye wake Kagome.
She will like to hear this." Keade said as she sat
on the floor of the hut.
Sango gently shook Kagome's shoulder trying to wake her up.
Kagome gave a small groan as she open her eyes and
looked up at Sango.
"Huh?" She grunted half asleep.
"Keade.. She may have answer to all this." Sango stated softly.
Kagome sat up and looked attentively at Keade.
Keade gave her a kind smile and then prepared to tell all.
"Inuyasha has just answer the few question that I had left.
He has conferred my thoughts on matter.
Kikyo must have be with child when she passed on."
This only made Kagome stare at her with a confused manner.
"Yes.... What does that mean to me?" She asked as her curiosity
hit the highest level.
"The child ye are carrying must be the reincarnation of that of Kikyo's child.
The soul of the child must have reconnected with your soul.
The soul that once belong to its mother. So in a since of the
way the child was conceived of the spirit. Or in spirit of the love
of its parents."
She said and look from both Kagome to Inuyasha with the last part.
She smiled to herself at the thought of it being
concived because of their love. But she truly didn't think
that was true so she asked a question.
She hoped the answer would make her feel at least
a bit more convinced of this theory.
" Are you sure Keade? I mean, I am the reincarnation of Kikyo.
But there had to be other before me. Why wasn't the baby born to them?"
Kagome asked silently praying the answer was a good one.
"Well child, I would say it was because ye were fated too.
After all ye were the one to waken Inuyasha. The one that fate pushed into meeting him. Maybe you were also fated to carry his child."
As she finished her statement Kagome looked over at Inuyasha.
He was blankly staring at the floor, she moved over next to him.
She reached out her hand and touched his gently to get his attention.
He looked up at her with a stone face, she just smile lightly.
"Come on Inuyasha. You and I need to talk." She stated standing up
and gave his arm a small tug.
He nodded as he stood up and waited for her to lead the way.
"Please excuse us." She said to the others and lead Inuyasha out of the hut.

They walked in silence, still hand in hand, to the God tree.
Kagome smiled at the memories and turned to face Inuyasha.
"Well this has been a rather strange day." She stated in a mock tone.
"Oh, and damn fate for bring ME this." She hadn't really meant that.
She was so happy to be fated to be having Inuyasha's child.
She loved him more than any other.
Maybe this would push their relationship to the next level.
Inuyasha just sighed as he leaned against the tree.
Kagome came to stand next to him and laid
her head on his shoulder. They just stood their for a long
while just staring into space gather their thoughts.
Inuyasha was who broke the silence.
"I'm sorry." He said as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
"For what?" She asked looking up at him.
"For this... For you having to carry a child that you do not want." He said with a frown.
"Who says I don't want "it"? I do want this child. My child...
Our child." She said with a blush at the last statement.
"Yes, Our child..." Inuyasha said as he to blushed.
They once again slipped into silence just enjoying
the others company.
A thought crossed Kagome's mind and she smiled.
"But in seven months when I'm in labor.
Just remember that I will be very pissed at you.
Eh.. If I say the "s word" until you dye...
Then well.. I'm sorry in advance." She said beaming up at him.
He looked at her with annoyance and then chuckled.
Before he could stop himself he bent down and kissed her softly.
