Kagome sighed in relief as she hit her bed. This had been
a trying day. She had just gotten home, gave her mom the
low down and went straight to bed. Right now she didn't even
want to think about Inuyasha.Right then she would have really
liked to of rung his neck.
Did he always fall for her tricks? Well of course he did,
the boy was wrapped around the damn women's finger.
She shook her head and erased the thoughts of them all together.
She had more important things to think about.
Like tomorrow she would be be going for her first ultrasound.
She smiled happily at the thought of seeing her child for the first
time. It gave her butterflies cause this trip made everything real.
She was having his child and he had kissed her.
Could that be a sign that he was coming around?
That he was finally going to own up to the way he felt.
She sighed with the thought of him say those three little words that
she longed for so long to hear. Sleep over took her and she slipped into
a dream. Never knowing that her hanyou was on the outside of her
window, watching and waiting.
Inuyasha saw that she had fallen asleep and crept into her room.
He had to tell her tonight... Even if it killed him, he had to let her
know just how he felt. That would make up for his stupidness,
hopefully.He wasn't numb to her moods because he
had felt her hurt and anger.
This day had been so strange... First he had found out that she
was having a baby and then that it was his!! At that very moment he had
wanted to jump up and kiss her senseless.
He wanted to tell that he loved her and he had wanted to tell
her by the God tree. But that damn Kikyo had interruppted them.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by a mumbling Kagome.
"Inuyasha... Um... I love you sooo much."
He smiled after she had said that.
He then crawled into her bed onto the other side.
He took her in his arms and kissed her forehead.
"I love you too. Kagome." He muttered in her ear.
He soon fell into the most comfortable sleep of his life.

Kagome awoke the next morning feeling wonderfully
safe. She slowly open her eyes to which widen in
surprise when she saw Inuyasha lying next to her.
She notice that he had her in a death grip around her
waist as she tired to move. He gave a grunt to her
movements and pulled her closer to him.
Kagome sighed as a warm feeling came over her.
She snuggled closer to him not really caring how
and why he was in her bed with him. This was the
best thing she had ever awoken to.
She smiled and closed her eyes and let sleep come
back to her.
Two hours later Mrs. Higurashi knocked on herdaughter's door.
When she an answer to she naturally open
the door to wake up her up. What she found made her gasp loudly.
Both Inuyasha and Kagome woke up startled.
They both looked up to find Kagome's mother standing
in the doorway looking shocked and dumbfounded.
Kagome quickly got out of her bed and stepped over
to her mother.
She already knew what her mother was thinking and she
had to sit her straight.
"Mom! Nothing happen! We just cuddled is all!"
Mrs. Higurashi gave a sigh of relief and then smiled
at her. "You guys are just so cute together!! She stated
smiling. "Kagome, I came to say that your appointment is
in one hour. Oh! Inuyasha, you should come with us!
We're going to get a picture of the baby taken!" She said
and then left them alone.
"Huh?" Inuyasha asked very confused.
Kagome giggled at him and then answered him.
"In this era we have a machine that can take pictures of the baby
on the inside."
He didn't even bother to ask her anymore about it.
Instead he turned the subject over to the matter of the night
before.
"I'm sorry about Kikyo. You do know that I do care deeply for
you right? I mean more then friends deeply...." He said blushing
Kagome felt herself turned red as the most wonderful feeling went
through her. Was he saying that he loved her?
Kagome was about to respond but her mother burst into the room.
"WE'RE LATE!!" She yelped. "Hurry and get ready!!"
"I thought I had an hour?" Kagome said looking at her mother.
" Well I was wrong!! NOW GET A MOVE ON!"

Inuyasha watched curiously as he watched a women put a jelly
like spread on Kagome's belly. She then moved a strange black
in circles all around. The results were both amazing and confusing
to the hanyou.
"OH!! Look at the screen Inuyahsa!!" Kagome's mom exclaimed.
Pointing to a small screen on the other side of Kagome.
He looked and what he saw looked something like a deformed
frog.
"That's the kid?" He asked look confused.
"Yes... Why?" Kagome asked looking over at him her eyes filled
with tears.
"Well he looks like a frog!" Inuyasha said in his
usual tone .
"He does not!! And besides how do you know that its going to be a HE?
It could a SHE you know!" Kagome said and the stuck out her tongue.
The nurse laughed at the too and then turned to them to say.
"How you like to here the heart beat?"
Kagome nodded with great suspense as she awaited to
hear her child. Soon a de-bump, de-bump was the only
sound in the room.
Inuyasha ears twitched slightly under the hat on his head.
That was his child's heartbeat. Though he was sure how it was
that he was hearing it, he still felt his heart swell with pride.
