Just to remind you, (Thanks to Catty, Catherine!) Vampires who are half human CAN be in the daylight without being burnt or dust, but they can still be harmed. Crosses, stakes, garlic, and holy water can harm them. It's the full-fledged vamps that CAN'T be in the daylight.

Chapter 15

Kikyo

*Inuyasha's Room; Morning*

Inuyasha was very happy. Here, he had a loving family, Kagome as his mate, and future child. He was very happy. A smile grazed his lips. He sighed and nuzzled Kagome's neck. He then gently ran his hand over her flat stomach. He could, with his ultra hearing, hear the very faintest fast beating of a heart. (I know women who just became pregnant; their child doesn't have a heartbeat. yet. But I like the way I have the story. So. There!)

He smiled and kept up the nuzzling. He then felt Kagome stir from her peaceful sleep. Her gray eyes opened to amber eyes. (He had returned hanyou during the night!) She warmly smiled at him. "Good morning, love." She greeted. "Morning, mate." He greeted back and kissed her. "How are "we" feeling?" Kagome ran her hand over her belly and looked back at Inuyasha. "We're doing great."

"You hungry?" he asked. "Starving!" she giggled as he nuzzled her neck. Inuyasha got up and dressed, as did Kagome. He was now wearing a red t-shirt that had a V-shape cut in the front with buttons. Three were undone, showing his chest. He wore tight blue jeans and his black duster. Kagome wore a maroon no-sleeve shirt that clung to her, black leather pants and her boots. Inuyasha also had his boots on. They then made his bed and walked on down to the kitchen.

*Kitchen*

As they walked into the kitchen, they were very surprised to see Miroku NOT try to grope Sango. There they were, eating their breakfast peacefully. Shippo was eating his breakfast when he smelled Inuyasha, Kagome, and a different scent enter. He looked up and ran to Kagome, who gladly hugged the kitsune. "Morning, mommy!" he greeted. "Good morning, Shippo."

Kagome and Inuyasha then grabbed their breakfast, which happened to be pancakes and sausages (Yummy!) and ate. Shippo sat in Kagome's lap and ate his breakfast. Sango looked at Kagome. "Morning, Kagome." She greeted. "Morning, Sango. How are you?" "I've been great! I'm glad Miroku hasn't groped me yet. It's very weird!"

At that moment, she felt his hand on her ass, rubbing up and down. She went red in face from anger and blushing. "HENTIA!" and she slapped him. Everyone laughed at seeing an out cold Miroku with a huge handprint and a steaming red Sango hovering above him. After breakfast, Inuyasha took Kagome to school.

*School*

Kagome got off the cycle and placed it on the bar. She turned to Inuyasha and smiled. "So. What are you going to do today, Yasha?" "I'm going to enroll here to keep an eye on you. ~Kagome was about to say something~ I know you can protect yourself, Kagome. But with you being my mate and being pregnant, I know Naraku, Kouga, and Kikyo will be after you. You're more vulnerable with you being pregnant. I don't Naraku even within an inch near you."

Kagome knew he was right so she shut her mouth. Inuyasha put his cycle in the parking lot and walked to the office. Kagome was on her way to class, when she "bumped" into Kikyo. "Look where you're going, bitch!" Kikyo yelled. "You're the one who bumped into me!" Kagome yelled back. By this time, Inuyasha was enrolled and walked towards them. "Leave my mate alone, bitch!" he yelled. He wrapped his arms around Kagome's waist and nuzzled her neck.

Kikyo looked stunned, but shook it off. "Hey, Inuyasha." She seductively purred. (YUCK!) Both Inuyasha and Kagome looked at her in disgust. "What do you want, wench!?" he asked annoyed. "I thought maybe you and I could go on a date. I think I'm much better than that slut Kagome." "Fuck off! Kagome's no slut! YOU are!" Inuyasha unwrapped his arms from Kagome and walked to Kikyo.

Kikyo ignored his comment and hoped he'd dump Kagome for her. What happened next shocked her. Inuyasha threw his right hand back and slapped Kikyo. She fell onto the floor, holding her stinging cheek.

She looked up to see Inuyasha fighting his demon from emerging. His eyes turned from red to amber and back again. He panted hard. "NEVER…CALL…MY MATE…A SLUT WHEN YOU'RE THE SLUT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL!" he roared. His eyes were now red with fury and anger. Kagome wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his back. "Calm down, Inuyasha." She soothed. Inuyasha heard her plea and calmed down.

He turned and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling her neck. "I'm really glad I broke up with you, Kikyo." He said calmly now, taking in Kagome's wonderful scent that always calmed him. Kikyo gathered the info that he had said and stood up. She then fixed her slutty clothes. She wore a really tight black shirt and a very short black skirt that you could practically see up it. "What do you mean she's your mate? I thought "I" was!" she complained.

"You were never my mate, Kikyo. I knew that you never would be. I could feel it in your aura that we weren't soul mates. Yours was cold and uncaring. You never cared about anybody, but yourself. I'm really glad we aren't. After the way you treated Shippo, I knew you were trouble." He explained. "Kagome's very different from you. Her aura's very warm and caring. She has a mother's aura. She loves Shippo for who he is. Unlike you, she treats him like her own son."

Kagome smiled. She loved the description he was saying about her. She really did love Shippo. He was like a son to her. "And she has a heart of gold, unlike yours which is coal." He said the last part in a cold and bitter voice. (Way to go, Inuyasha!) "Get lost, Kikyo." Kagome said in her coldest voice.

Without saying another word, Kikyo left.
