Chapter VIII: 1 Step Forward
It was evident how furious Sesshomaru was as he sat behind his desk. Behind his honors, plaques, and awards. He looked up to the man in front of him. Tall, standing at 6'2, but not as tall as the doctor sitting down. Hair, black as coal and twisted in a wide braid that swung to his waist. Eyes, color of precious emeralds. A fine tailored Armani adorned his frame, fitting in all the right ways. Broad shoulders stood up in confidence.
"So, you must be Bankotsu Mishima ?" Sesshomaru asked through clenched teeth.
"The one and only. Your dad asked me to come over and handle things around here."
"Listen. I am the only one who handles things. This my clinic and don't your forget that."
Bankotsu was taken back by the doctors show of emotions. "No need to get angry, man. It's all good." He said.
"My name is not “man”. He said using his fingers to make quotate the word. “You will address me in the manner that I deserve. You call me Dr. Sesshomaru. Mr.Mishima, you are here not to make friends, but to fufill your duty here."
Geez, what an asswipe. "Alright, doctor. Whatever you say." He answered in a sarcastic tone.
The door opened and Kagome walked in with a manilla folder in her hand. "Sesshomaru, I have the files on the missing patient and I have his schedule and every...Oh, hello. I didn't know you had company. I'll leave." Kagome said backing out of the room.
"Wait, Kagome. You might as well meet the guy that's going to be working here. Dr. Higurashi, Dr. Mishima. Dr.Mishima , Dr. Higurashi
Bankotsu turned to see the raven haired goddess and all but drooled at her beautiful face and perfect shape.
"Hello, Dr.Mishima" Kagome greeted as she held out her hand.
Bankotsu smirked as he took her hand and bent down to kiss the flesh gently leaving it
burning in his wake. "Please, call me Bank."

"Alright, Mr. Houshi. It seems like your session is over." Rin said looking at her watch.
Miroku nodded silently. His eyes puffy and red from bringing up past events in his childhood. He couldn't quite get the whole truth out, but that was enough for the first day. He aroused himself as he walked mutely to the door. He stopped in his tracks before he opened the entrance. "Um...Dr. Miratsu?"
Rin turned around to look into the mans eyes. Tears were threatening to stain her cheeks. "Yes, Mr. Houshi."
"Thanks." He quietly said as he walked out the cherry wooden door, closing it when he left.
Rin stayed there for a moment. Then she followed suit to Miroku and left the office. She leaned against a nearby wall as she began to breathe heavily at first. Then rapidly then she felt tears running down her cheek like hot lava. Rin then just gave into her emotions and began ball. She held her mouth as she wailed and shook with sorrow. Rin slid down the wall helplessly as nearly twenty years of pent up emotions came flowing out. Her eyes puffed up and her head began to hurt from her constant crying.
InuYasha walked the hallways as he came from his room. He heard crying and decided to follow it. He turned th corner towards Kagome's office and found Rin on the floor crying. He rushed to her side. "Rin, what's wrong?"
Rin saw InuYasha cool summer eyes and threw herself into his arms. She held him closely and balled out into his arms. He ran his hand down her hair, smoothing her black tresses. "It's alright." He soothed. His voice calm like a river on a summer day. Rin looked up into his eyes and he looked into her puffy ones. "Inuyasha, I just had to know. I...just..." She then cried again.
InuYasha didn't know what the hell she was talking about, but whatever it was it had the almighty Rin cry like a child.

"So, what brings you into my office, Dr. Kagome." Sesshomaru said uneasily.
Kagome took her hand from the narcotherapist's grip and blushed at his public affection. "Um...I'm just bringing the missing patient's file and schedule."
"They're still missing."He ground out.
"No, I found him about an hour ago. Rin offered to counsel him because of my schedule. So, I decided to collect of his files and build him an agenda and bring it to you."
"Mmm. Rin offering work? That's weird. Anyways, bring them here." He said as he stretched out his delicate hand for Kagome to place the files in. He looked them over and read the patients file. “Mirouku Houshi...sex addict....33...” He mumbled low as he read everything over. Then something caught his eye. He looked up to Kagome. "Have you looked at these." He voice lowered an octave.
Kagome shook her head. "No, not really. Is there a problem?"
He shot from his seat. "You damn right it's a problem. I need to go have a talk with Rin." He said as he swung on his jacket from the coat rack in one swift movement and stormed out the office.
Kagome stood dumbfounded as she watched the doctor leave the office giving it a quiet demeanor.
"Well, how about you show me around." Bankotsu said as gave her a micheivious eye.

Sesshomaru stormed the hallways until he saw Rin hugging InuYasha and giving him a small peck on the cheek. Seeing this was only fueling the fire that was already in him.
"Alright, cut it out!" He roared making InuYasha and Rin jump.
InuYasha gave Sesshomaru the evil eye. "Hey, Fluf...."
Sesshomaru held up his hand and pushed InuYasha out the way. "Not now, ingrate." He said as he made his way to stand in front of Rin, towering her 5'2 frame. "You. Me. Office. Now!" He said as he grabbed her arm and dragged her into Kagome's office. He then peeped back out to be eye to eye with InuYasha. Gold crashed into amber as he stared his little brother down. "And don't even think of coming in here. This does not concern you."
InuYasha grumbled. "So, I'm suppose to stand out here and wait."
"Exactly." Sesshomaru said as he shut the door and locked it. He heard erratic knocking and cursing from his little brother, but it was all ignored. He had other things on his mind. Rin stood at the foot of Kagome's desk and Sesshomaru took swift steps before he was infront of her. "Have you completely gone, insane." He said grabbing her arm.
"What are you talking about?" Rin said as she snatched her limb free from his hold
"Counseling that patient. Do you even know what you are dealing with?!" He roared.
“I know that I can handle it. I have more experience in it!”
“Bullshit! How can the victim counsel the villian. It’s not going to work, Rin. You’re too emotionally attatched to do this case.”
“I am not! I...” She felt her guard diminsh as she felt her eyes water. “I can do this.”
“No, you can not.”
“I have to!” She wailed.
“Why? Why do you want to bring up such bad memories?” He said grabbing her shoulders as he gently shook her.
“I had to see for myself!”
“What?” He asked letting her go to look into her chocolate eyes.
“I had to see for myself. I had to know...” She sniffled. “I had to know what men like him think when they ruin lives.” She said then wiped the tears that brimmed her eye.
“Rin.” He whispered softly. “You can’t do things that way. You know how detrimental it could be to your recovery and his.”
Rin nodded. “I know. I just had to see. Why can’t I have a regular father? Why doesn’t he love me. What did I do?” Rin said as he gave in to her crying.
Sesshomaru did the only thing he could do in a situation like this. He enclosed his big, long arms around her small frame and pressed her against his strong, ridgid one. “Nothing. You did nothing.” He whispered.

InuYasha stood outside of the office tapping his feet with his arms folded. “What the fuck could be taking them so long? Well, fuck this." He said as he walked to his room.
Once he reached his private roomh walked in and shut and locked the door so that he could be alone. Everybody else had roomates, but not him. His father and his brother wanted him to be alone...never apart of the family or their lives. The name Taisho haunted him, and the pressure of it weighed him down to nothing but a pulp. Being alone wasn't bad. Not for him anyway. The room was small only holding a small twin bed, a couple pictures of naked women on the wall, a nightstand with a lamp, clothes were held in a basket in the corner, and a finally a small window that was caged with black wire. The sun came down in sections into the room, giving it a checkered look. InuYasha didn't mind it much. It had all the essentials he needed. A toothbrush sat on the nighstand along with a small alarm clock. That's all he needed and of course there was....the other thing. He opened the drawer and saw what made his life a little more better.

"So, this is the lounge room." Kagome said showing Bankotsu the cheery themed room. She turned to look at the jewel eyed male that had a smile on his face. "Alright, so that's basically it."
Bankotsu took her hand and kissed it lightly. "Maybe it shouldn't be. How about I take you to dinner tonight?" He said.
Kagome took her hand from him. "I don't think thats a good idea."
Bankotus inched closer to Kagome. "And why is that?"
"We're co-workers and my main priority is my job." Kagome said being a hypocrite about everything that came out of her mouth.
"Of course." He said curtly. "Well, thanks for the tour and for...nothing." Bankotsu said as he walked off leaving Kagome alone in the lounge room.
What is it with this clinic? Is every man trying to jump my bones. Kagome thought conceitedly.

InuYasha left his room and staggering a bit before he bumped into Bankotsu. "Watch where you going?" InuYasha said.
"Oh, I'm...." Bankotsu stopped mid sentence to study th character. Uncanny looks to InuTaisho and Sesshomaru. "You must be InuYasha?"
"Yeah,and who are you?" He asked with disdain.
"I'm Dr. Mishima. The narcotherapist."
InuYasha snorted. "Yeah, and I'm sure of that."
Bankotsu studied him, trying to figure out his next move. "Um...InuYasha, how about I treat you to a drink?"
"Outside of the rehab center?" InuYasha squinted his eyes trying to size up the doctor. "What kind of doctor are you?"
"Then kind that likes to have a good time. Now come on and make sure nobody sees ya." Bankotsu said as he grabbed InuYasha's hand and they head out the door and in the outside world of the clinic.

Sesshomaru looked out of the window noticing the sun going down making the sky a organe hue. How long have we been here? He thought. Sesshomaru looked at his watch and his eyes widened. "You know...it's getting pretty late." he said.
Rin looked up into his eyes. "One more minute. I can't stand another man neglecting me."
Sesshomaru shield was almost broken to her words. She was a sad little girl inside and all that hard exterior was just a front.Her eyes red and puffy with sadness. How could he say no to her? "Sure, but just one minute." He said.
Rin snuggled up to him more. "That's all I need." she said.
Then a knock was heard at the door. "Hello, who's in there?" the feminine voice sounded.
Upon hearing Kagome immediately let go of Rin. "Alright, minute's up." He said getting up.
"It actually was two seconds." She said as she got up.
Sesshomaru ignored her comment as he proceeded to the door and opened it revealing Kagome standing dumbfounded at the door. "Oh, Sesshomaru, you're here." She smiled then it turned into a frown when she saw Rin in her office also. "And you are too, Dr. Miratsu."
Rin could feel the jealously radiate off of Kagome. "Yeah, it was just me and him." Rin said bluntly.
"I'm sure it was, but locking my door is a bit uncalled for." Kagome said tightly. She stared at Rin and she stared right back.
"I didn't lock it. Sesshomaru did. I guess he wanted us to have a little privacy."
"What for?" Kagome said through clenched teeth
"Um...Dr. Higurashi, Kagome, me and Rin was just talking and handling some problems. Mainly the one dealing with the patient." Sesshomaru said interjecting.
"Of course you were." She said. Kagome gave Rin an evil stare and Rin gave on right back.
Sesshomaru could feel the tension in the room and he, of course, didn't want no part of it. His little brother on the other hand would've loved a fight between two girls over him and probably would've suggested mud be thrown into the equation. Unlike Sesshomaru, who wanted serenity and balance in his life and this was not getting it.
"I think I'll be going. I hear the new guy is in. I haven't even met him yet." She said as she walked towards the door. Rin didn't want a fight between co-workers was unnecessary. Knowing Sesshomaru, he's probably blame her and knowing herself, she'd probably go to jail for breaking the little twit's neck.
"Alright, Rin." Sesshomaru liking her maturity in the matter for disappearing before things got ugly.
"Remember, Sesshy, you owe me that minute." She winked and left out the office
So much for maturiy. He thought.
"What minute?" Kagome asked desperately wanting to know what happened in her office while she wasn't there.
"It's nothing."

"You alright for doc, man." InuYasha said as he took another shot.
"Yeah. I mean why be a doctor if can't have fun. This field is where all the chicks come flocking. That Dr. title just gives you a little extra 'umphh', you hear me."
"Yeah, I hear ya. What's your real name anyway?"
"Bankotsu, but everybody calls me Bank."
"Yeah, and I bet that gives you another extra 'ummph', too."
Bankotsu raised his beer up in the air. "Hell, yeah man. Shit, being a doctor makes me a bank anyway." He said then he sipped the drink in his hand.
"Yeah, man. You alright." InuYasha repeated as he took another shot of the Five 0'clock.
"Well, we better be getting back before they find out we were gone. I don't want you drunk. I just want you to feel a little bit of the freedom." Bankotsu said as he got up.
"Thanks, for that."
"It's cool man, I mean, no man should ever be caged and kepy captive like an animal. It's just not the place for us."
InuYasha thought about this. "It sure isn't."

Rin walked sluggishly down the halls. She loved Sesshomaru and today proved it, when he held her so tightly in his arms. He yelled in the beginning, but it all worked out in the end. That is until Kagome showed up. Rin needed somebody to hold her at this point. She walked through the double doors that led to the hall where the rooms were kept. Rin reached InuYasha's room. She knocked first, not hearing anything she walked into the dark room.
"Yash, you in here?" Rin walked in to see various naked pictures of women on his wall. She snorted as she shut the door. "Typical." He said before she turned on the lamp, giving the room a low amber glow. Rin frowned at the depressing sight that was his room. Not much light, not much space, not much of anything for that matter. All that was there was an alarm clock, a pile of, mostly likely unclean, clothes, a toothbrush, and a small twin bed. She walked over to the bed before sitting down. She looked it over and sighed. Rin wanted so much more for InuYasha. She knew he did a lot of things in the past, but didn't he deserve this. She looked at the small nightstand that was next to the bed. "Wonder what he keeps in here." She opened ht drawer slightly....
"What the fuck are you doing?!" a voice rumbled.
Rin jumped and quickly shut it back. She looked up to the tall rugged figure in jeans and a t-shirt. "I...I...was..um.."
InuYasha ran towards her and grabbed her by her wrist. "What did you see?" He grounded out.
Rin shook her head. "Nothing. I saw nothing. I swear." she said as her chest rose and fell.
InuYasah took heavy breaths, nostrils flaring. "You sure?"
"Yes," She sqeaked out. "I'm sure."
InuYasha looked at her innocent eyes and knew she was telling the truth. He let got of her wrists, leaving small reddish rings out them. Rin looked at him with fearful eyes.
He looked at her bruised wrist and felt guilt. "Im sorry." He whispered as he hung his head low. His silver bangs hiding the shame in his eyes. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
Rin took a deep breath trying to keep her composure. She ran her fingers though his silky strands. "It's...alright."
"No, it's not."
"Yes, it is. It'll clear up." She said referring to the indian burns. "I shouldn't have been in your room in the first place." She said as
"I shouldn't have yelled and...grabbed you like that." He said lifting his head to look her dead in the eyes. "I shouldn't have...hurt you."
Rin cupped his face. "And you didn't"
InuYasha relished in her touch. He kissed the palm of hand before he started to nip and lick at her wrist, soothing the red skin. InuYasha grabbed her arm as she trailed opened mouth kissed up her arm before he reached her neck.
Rin moaned as she fell back on the bed. "InuYasha." She lightly whispered as he coverd his body over overs, roamng his hands down her body.
"You're perfect." He whispered on her neck. "I want you to stay the night with me, Rin. Don't deny me." He said as he dove his hand into her blouse and began to fondle her breats.
"Mmm. I can never deny you." She moaned.
InuYasha trailed his kisses until it settled at her fabric covered breasts. He began to unbutton her blouse licking each and every inch of skin that was being uncovered.

"Stay out of this, asswipe. It's none of your business." InuYasha said.
Sesshomaru stood to his full height of 7'' feet. "When it concerns Rin it is. Now, Rin I want you to leave and go home."
Rin nodded and walked out of the room. "I'll see you tomorrow, InuYasha."
"If you listen to that bastard, I not so sure of that."
"InuYasha...I..."
"Rin, you don't have to explain yourself to this lowlife. You go home, now." He said.
She sighed and walked out keeping eye contact with InuYasha. "Bye." She mouthed before disappearing.
Once she was gone InuYasha eyes turned cold onto his older half brother. "Why you always have to come and fuck up my happiness."
"Raping Rin is your idea of happiness?"
InuYasha growled. "You know damn well I would never do nothing like that."
"I thought you would never pick up a pipe again, but I'm sure we both know the ending to that lie."
"Fuck you! Just beause you think you came in here as some fucking knight in shining armor you did something for her. That it makes it seem like you care for her. Get this right, I am the only one that cares for her and you...you just care about your money."
"You? Caring for Rin? I hope you don't think she feels the same. You don't deserve her love." He said as he walked out of the room leaving InuYasha alone, out of sight, out of mind, and out in the cold.

Sesshomaru walked to Rin's office watching her put her coat on and gather her papers. "Leaving already?"
"Yeah" Rin said .
"You know I owe you a minute. Technically, 58 seconds." He said.
"You know what, Dr. Sesshomaru," She walked over to Sesshomaru and glared him. "You can have your damn minute." She said as she pushed her way through the opening.
Sesshomaru whipped his head around. "What?"
"You heard me. Keep your damn 58 seconds. Use the time to realize that you have a brother...with feelings." She said tightly as she walked down the corridor until she was nothing but the sound of heels clicking.

Rin stood at the foot of Kagome's desk and Sesshomaru took swift steps before he was infront of her. "Have you completely gone, insane." He said grabbing her arm.
"What are you talking about?" Rin said as she snatched her limb free from his hold
"Counseling that patient. Do you even know what you are dealing with?!" He roared.
“I know that I can handle it. I have more experience in it!”
“Bullshit! How can the victim counsel the villian. It’s not going to work, Rin. You’re too emotionally attatched to do this case.”
“I am not! I...” She felt her guard diminsh as she felt her eyes water. “I can do this.”
“No, you can not.”
“I have to!” She wailed.
“Why? Why do you want to bring up such bad memories?” He said grabbing her shoulders as he gently shook her.
“I had to see for myself!”
“What?” He asked letting her go to look into her chocolate eyes.
“I had to see for myself. I had to know...” She sniffled. “I had to know what men like him think when they ruin lives.” She said then wiped the tears that brimmed her eye.
“Rin.” He whispered softly. “You can’t do things that way. You know how detrimental it could be to your recovery and his.”
Rin nodded. “I know. I just had to see. Why can’t I have a regular father? Why doesn’t he love me. What did I do?” Rin said as he gave in to her crying.
Sesshomaru did the only thing he could do in a situation like this. He enclosed his big, long arms around her small frame and pressed her against his strong, ridgid one. “Nothing. You did nothing.” He whispered.

InuYasha stood outside of the office tapping his feet with his arms folded. “What the fuck could be taking them so long? Well, fuck this." He said as he walked to his room.
Once he reached his private roomh walked in and shut and locked the door so that he could be alone. Everybody else had roomates, but not him. His father and his brother wanted him to be alone...never apart of the family or their lives. The name Taisho haunted him, and the pressure of it weighed him down to nothing but a pulp. Being alone wasn't bad. Not for him anyway. The room was small only holding a small twin bed, a couple pictures of naked women on the wall, a nightstand with a lamp, clothes were held in a basket in the corner, and a finally a small window that was caged with black wire. The sun came down in sections into the room, giving it a checkered look. InuYasha didn't mind it much. It had all the essentials he needed. A toothbrush sat on the nighstand along with a small alarm clock. That's all he needed and of course there was....the other thing. He opened the drawer and saw what made his life a little more better.

"So, this is the lounge room." Kagome said showing Bankotsu the cheery themed room. She turned to look at the jewel eyed male that had a smile on his face. "Alright, so that's basically it."
Bankotsu took her hand and kissed it lightly. "Maybe it shouldn't be. How about I take you to dinner tonight?" He said.
Kagome took her hand from him. "I don't think thats a good idea."
Bankotus inched closer to Kagome. "And why is that?"
"We're co-workers and my main priority is my job." Kagome said being a hypocrite about everything that came out of her mouth.
"Of course." He said curtly. "Well, thanks for the tour and for...nothing." Bankotsu said as he walked off leaving Kagome alone in the lounge room.
What is it with this clinic? Is every man trying to jump my bones. Kagome thought conceitedly.

InuYasha left his room and staggering a bit before he bumped into Bankotsu. "Watch where you going?" InuYasha said.
"Oh, I'm...." Bankotsu stopped mid sentence to study th character. Uncanny looks to InuTaisho and Sesshomaru. "You must be InuYasha?"
"Yeah,and who are you?" He asked with disdain.
"I'm Dr. Mishima. The narcotherapist."
InuYasha snorted. "Yeah, and I'm sure of that."
Bankotsu studied him, trying to figure out his next move. "Um...InuYasha, how about I treat you to a drink?"
"Outside of the rehab center?" InuYasha squinted his eyes trying to size up the doctor. "What kind of doctor are you?"
"Then kind that likes to have a good time. Now come on and make sure nobody sees ya." Bankotsu said as he grabbed InuYasha's hand and they head out the door and in the outside world of the clinic.

Sesshomaru looked out of the window noticing the sun going down making the sky a organe hue. How long have we been here? He thought. Sesshomaru looked at his watch and his eyes widened. "You know...it's getting pretty late." he said.
Rin looked up into his eyes. "One more minute. I can't stand another man neglecting me."
Sesshomaru shield was almost broken to her words. She was a sad little girl inside and all that hard exterior was just a front.Her eyes red and puffy with sadness. How could he say no to her? "Sure, but just one minute." He said.
Rin snuggled up to him more. "That's all I need." she said.
Then a knock was heard at the door. "Hello, who's in there?" the feminine voice sounded.
Upon hearing Kagome immediately let go of Rin. "Alright, minute's up." He said getting up.
"It actually was two seconds." She said as she got up.
Sesshomaru ignored her comment as he proceeded to the door and opened it revealing Kagome standing dumbfounded at the door. "Oh, Sesshomaru, you're here." She smiled then it turned into a frown when she saw Rin in her office also. "And you are too, Dr. Miratsu."
Rin could feel the jealously radiate off of Kagome. "Yeah, it was just me and him." Rin said bluntly.
"I'm sure it was, but locking my door is a bit uncalled for." Kagome said tightly. She stared at Rin and she stared right back.
"I didn't lock it. Sesshomaru did. I guess he wanted us to have a little privacy."
"What for?" Kagome said through clenched teeth
"Um...Dr. Higurashi, Kagome, me and Rin was just talking and handling some problems. Mainly the one dealing with the patient." Sesshomaru said interjecting.
"Of course you were." She said. Kagome gave Rin an evil stare and Rin gave on right back.
Sesshomaru could feel the tension in the room and he, of course, didn't want no part of it. His little brother on the other hand would've loved a fight between two girls over him and probably would've suggested mud be thrown into the equation. Unlike Sesshomaru, who wanted serenity and balance in his life and this was not getting it.
"I think I'll be going. I hear the new guy is in. I haven't even met him yet." She said as she walked towards the door. Rin didn't want a fight between co-workers was unnecessary. Knowing Sesshomaru, he's probably blame her and knowing herself, she'd probably go to jail for breaking the little twit's neck.
"Alright, Rin." Sesshomaru liking her maturity in the matter for disappearing before things got ugly.
"Remember, Sesshy, you owe me that minute." She winked and left out the office
So much for maturiy. He thought.
"What minute?" Kagome asked desperately wanting to know what happened in her office while she wasn't there.
"It's nothing."

"You alright for doc, man." InuYasha said as he took another shot.
"Yeah. I mean why be a doctor if can't have fun. This field is where all the chicks come flocking. That Dr. title just gives you a little extra 'umphh', you hear me."
"Yeah, I hear ya. What's your real name anyway?"
"Bankotsu, but everybody calls me Bank."
"Yeah, and I bet that gives you another extra 'ummph', too."
Bankotsu raised his beer up in the air. "Hell, yeah man. Shit, being a doctor makes me a bank anyway." He said then he sipped the drink in his hand.
"Yeah, man. You alright." InuYasha repeated as he took another shot of the Five 0'clock.
"Well, we better be getting back before they find out we were gone. I don't want you drunk. I just want you to feel a little bit of the freedom." Bankotsu said as he got up.
"Thanks, for that."
"It's cool man, I mean, no man should ever be caged and kepy captive like an animal. It's just not the place for us."
InuYasha thought about this. "It sure isn't."

Rin walked sluggishly down the halls. She loved Sesshomaru and today proved it, when he held her so tightly in his arms. He yelled in the beginning, but it all worked out in the end. That is until Kagome showed up. Rin needed somebody to hold her at this point. She walked through the double doors that led to the hall where the rooms were kept. Rin reached InuYasha's room. She knocked first, not hearing anything she walked into the dark room.
"Yash, you in here?" Rin walked in to see various naked pictures of women on his wall. She snorted as she shut the door. "Typical." He said before she turned on the lamp, giving the room a low amber glow. Rin frowned at the depressing sight that was his room. Not much light, not much space, not much of anything for that matter. All that was there was an alarm clock, a pile of, mostly likely unclean, clothes, a toothbrush, and a small twin bed. She walked over to the bed before sitting down. She looked it over and sighed. Rin wanted so much more for InuYasha. She knew he did a lot of things in the past, but didn't he deserve this. She looked at the small nightstand that was next to the bed. "Wonder what he keeps in here." She opened ht drawer slightly....
"What the fuck are you doing?!" a voice rumbled.
Rin jumped and quickly shut it back. She looked up to the tall rugged figure in jeans and a t-shirt. "I...I...was..um.."
InuYasha ran towards her and grabbed her by her wrist. "What did you see?" He grounded out.
Rin shook her head. "Nothing. I saw nothing. I swear." she said as her chest rose and fell.
InuYasah took heavy breaths, nostrils flaring. "You sure?"
"Yes," She sqeaked out. "I'm sure."
InuYasha looked at her innocent eyes and knew she was telling the truth. He let got of her wrists, leaving small reddish rings out them. Rin looked at him with fearful eyes.
He looked at her bruised wrist and felt guilt. "Im sorry." He whispered as he hung his head low. His silver bangs hiding the shame in his eyes. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
Rin took a deep breath trying to keep her composure. She ran her fingers though his silky strands. "It's...alright."
"No, it's not."
"Yes, it is. It'll clear up." She said referring to the indian burns. "I shouldn't have been in your room in the first place." She said as
"I shouldn't have yelled and...grabbed you like that." He said lifting his head to look her dead in the eyes. "I shouldn't have...hurt you."
Rin cupped his face. "And you didn't"
InuYasha relished in her touch. He kissed the palm of hand before he started to nip and lick at her wrist, soothing the red skin. InuYasha grabbed her arm as she trailed opened mouth kissed up her arm before he reached her neck.
Rin moaned as she fell back on the bed. "InuYasha." She lightly whispered as he coverd his body over overs, roamng his hands down her body.
"You're perfect." He whispered on her neck. "I want you to stay the night with me, Rin. Don't deny me." He said as he dove his hand into her blouse and began to fondle her breats.
"Mmm. I can never deny you." She moaned.
InuYasha trailed his kisses until it settled at her fabric covered breasts. He began to unbutton her blouse licking each and every inch of skin that was being uncovered.
Rin closed her eyes in bliss. "Yes." She whispered.
InuYasha loved her small voice serene pleasure in his ears. He pushed up her bra, not taking it off, but enough for her breast to be seen. He smiled at the perky, rose colored nipples. InuYasha slightly grazed his teeth over her nipple before tugging it then suckled it.
"InuYasha." Rin moaned as she arched her back towards him.
Liking her reaction he moved his hand further down until rested at the crouch of her dress pants, massaging her there.
Something in Rin went off. She snapped her eyes opened and pushed InuYasha off of her. "No!" She screamed as she pulled down her bra and began to button up her shirt.
"What?" InuYasha said as he shot up from the floor. "What's your deal?"
"I...I...can't. I'm not ready."
"Rin don't act so childish you're thirty-two years old. Come on, act your age." He said.
"I don't want to." She confirmed.
"Come on, I know you want to." He said easing closer to her.
Rin shook her head and backed away. "Stop, InuYasha."
"Yeah, stop InuYasha."
Both heads whipped towards the stoic doctor leaning against the doorway of InuYasha's room.
"Stay out of this, asswipe. It's none of your business." InuYasha said.
Sesshomaru stood to his full height of 7'' feet. "When it concerns Rin it is. Now, Rin I want you to leave and go home."
Rin nodded and walked out of the room. "I'll see you tomorrow, InuYasha."
"If you listen to that bastard, I not so sure of that."
"InuYasha...I..."
"Rin, you don't have to explain yourself to this lowlife. You go home, now." He said.
She sighed and walked out keeping eye contact with InuYasha. "Bye." She mouthed before disappearing.
Once she was gone InuYasha eyes turned cold onto his older half brother. "Why you always have to come and fuck up my happiness."
"Raping Rin is your idea of happiness?"
InuYasha growled. "You know damn well I would never do nothing like that."
"I thought you would never pick up a pipe again, but I'm sure we both know the ending to that lie."
"Fuck you! Just beause you think you came in here as some fucking knight in shining armor you did something for her. That it makes it seem like you care for her. Get this right, I am the only one that cares for her and you...you just care about your money."
"You? Caring for Rin? I hope you don't think she feels the same. You don't deserve her love." He said as he walked out of the room leaving InuYasha alone, out of sight, out of mind, and out in the cold.

Sesshomaru walked to Rin's office watching her put her coat on and gather her papers. "Leaving already?"
"Yeah" Rin said .
"You know I owe you a minute. Technically, 58 seconds." He said.
"You know what, Dr. Sesshomaru," She walked over to Sesshomaru and glared him. "You can have your damn minute." She said as she pushed her way through the opening.
Sesshomaru whipped his head around. "What?"
"You heard me. Keep your damn 58 seconds. Use the time to realize that you have a brother...with feelings." She said tightly as she walked down the corridor until she was nothing but the sound of heels clicking.
