Disclaimer~I dont own Inuyasha and company or Kyoto..:-)..PS to answer one of My reviewees Questions..No I do not mind if someone took my story and used it and twisted it as you call it to make one of their own..from what I gather this person wrote hers or his long before I wrote mine and since she or he hasnt posted it then I couldnt have stolen it from HER..anyhow it wouldnt really matter I think because we all get idea's and inspiration from the stories we read, thus giving us the desire to put our own spin on it...I mean does Rumiko get mad at us for using her charactors the way we do?? Hope not, hope she or he is flattered...soo no not mad and it would be nice to read this story so I hope your friend posts it up so I can enjoy it..:-) ok soo now onto the next chap..luv Mija..:-)

Chapter 22~The calm before the storm!

~~~As they went about their days waiting and silently planing Kagome found herself at the hot springs taking a soak. She heard Inuyasha nearing and smiled up at him, but it faded when she saw the frown on his face and an unspoken question on his face.

"Inuyasha?? whats wrong??" she asked, as Inuyasha undressed and waded out to her.

"Nothing..just thinking." he said with a snort.

"About what?" she persisted, she knew that look and wanted to know what was wrong.

"Kagome???..Do...do you love me?? Really love me?" he asked, shocking the crap outta Kagome. Hadnt she already told him she did? Did he doubt her?? And why?

"You know I do..I have never lied to you in all this time Inuyasha you know that...why are you asking me this?" she asked.

"Damn it Kagome I know ya love me..my heart tells me you do but my mind??...it cant help but wonder if you have a thing for Kouga..I mean after all he did your still nice to him and everything." Inuyasha replied with a growl. Kagome smiled. So he was jealous?? How sweet, she thought.

"Ohh Inuyasha...I care for Kouga..but not like I care for you..you know that..Ive always told you that I dont love Kouga...I care for him like I care for Miroku and Sango..like a friend...what made you think like this?"

"I dont know...all that holding and comforting got me a bit...jealous I guess." he confessed awkwadly. Kagome smiled.

"Ohh Inuyasha you dont have a thing to worry about...when I became your mate..NO before I became your mate I knew I loved you and only you and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you..no one else..."

"Really?" Inuyasha asked with hope and love in his heart and eyes, he had thought he was over his insecurities about Kagome's love, but here he was unsure once again. The look on her face and the kiss she gave him put to rest once and for all any doubts he might of had.

~~~Miroku had followed Kyoto into the forest to look for some more of her herbs to help them with thier plan. He couldnt help but roam his eyes over his entire body. She was like noting he had ever seen. She was smart, fierce, and totally sexy he had thought he had gone to heaven when he saw her. She was everything he had ever wanted in a woman, yes she was half demon, but to him that only made her that much more desirable in his eyes. He couldnt believe he had lucked out enough to have found someone like her.

"What are you doing monk?" Kyoto asked, looking over her shoulder and seeing the look in his eyes as he purused her body.

"Im looking at a goddess...how am I so deserving of such a woman as you Kyoto?" he asked, still in awe of her beauty.

"Stop it monk..you already have me..no need for soft words and romantic talk." she scolded, looking away as she blushed. She may be strong and know much but when it came to men, she was still awkward and shy, she really cared for Miroku and did not want idle words. She wanted the truth.

"Its Not Idle Kyoto...I still have no idea what I did to deserve you...the Gods must be smiling on me to have given me such a gift...I just wonder....are you happy with me as I am with you?? Or do you wish it had never happened?" Miroku asked, out of charactor, with feelings of doubt and insecurity.

"Ohh Monk...I am gratefull that is was you who I came upon that nite...you have no Idea how happy I am that I am with you..dont you know that?"

"I know You care for me on some level..but we hardly know each other and I never want you to regret binding yourself to me with our mating..I want a woman who will love me and be by my side..and although I will abide by my feelings and obligations to you as your mate..but I would die inside if I knew you did not feel the same..that I made you unhappy...when all I want is to make you happy..for even though we do not know each other well...I know what I feel...and I feel that we were meant to be together Kyoto...you are my destiny..my desire.....my soul." Miroku confessed.

"Ohhh Miroku..do you know how much Ive wanted to hear someone tell me such words like that??? when we mated...I thought I had forced you...that you would despise me...all I knew was I desired you very much, but other than that, I also felt like something drew me to you...I cant explain it really other than to say I have no doubt that you are my destiny...and no matter how long we have known each other??...I love you with all my heart and sould." Kyoto replied with tears in her eyes. Miroku pulled her close to him and held her tightly.

"And I love you my mate..always.." he replied as he kissed her and let the kiss lead them to that wonderfull bliss of union.

~~~Sango had watched as the others had left and stayed where she was polishing and getting her boomerrang in top conditon for the battle that might come with Naraku. But her thougths never strayed far from Sesshoumaru. She couldnt get over it. How could she be attracted to that Demon? How could she lust him with such passion that it drove all her other senses and thoughts to the back of her mind. How could she feel anything but disgust for the Demon Lord? She was a demon exterminator for goodness sakes and all she wanted to do was be with a full demon and lord no less. Of course, she knew it was lust and not love, and that everytime she intended to give him a peice of her mind they argued and soon after had sex. And the whole thing that bothered her, was that she did not hate it, she liked it in fact. He challenged her on soo many levels, wit, attacks, passion and stamina. He was like the perfect male for her, but how could he be when he was a demon who hated humans, and she a demon exterminator who killed demons?

~~~Sesshoumaru watched nearby as his mate tended to her weapons..he was so intriqued with her, but it bothered him. How could he lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands lust for as well as desire a human female?? Of course she was no ordinary female human. She was strong willed, passionate, fierce, and smart beyond what he had ever thougth a human could be. What bothered him the most was that he could not get her out of his mind. He wanted her. Yes he was her mate. But he admitted, only to himself that he had desired her along time ago when he first saw her in battle. She was determined and succesfull in her battles that it had made him look at her as not just a mere human but as someone he could respect. He might of he she was not a part of his half breed brothers group. But even he admitted that he did not hate Inuyasha as much as he protryaed. He was kin, his brother. Yes he was a half demon and he did not care for human but Inuyasha grew stronger and deadlier every day. Even full blooded demons feared him. This was something Sesshoumaru was proud of. As for Kyoto..He would never in a million years confess that the thought of a little sister, half breed or not, had made his heart ache. When she had come to him soo long ago he had turned her away, but only because he thought it was how it was supposed to be. He had to be strong. He had to hate and despise anything that was not full demon. But she was soo much more. She was not only half demon but half sorceress, and even thought sorceress' were human they were alot more. She had power, and grace and wit. But so did Inuyasha. He could not phathom why Inuyahsa made his blood boil, but Kyoto made his heart melt. Just as Sango was doing to him now. Was he going soft? Would he ever get over his desire for her? Would she come to welcome him to her as he was willing to do for her?

A/N~okies heres the next chap hope it does the story justice, again this is the lull before the storm...next chaps will be the fight with Naraku and the end...soo hope you all enjoy..btw there will be an epilouge to seal all those un asked questions you may have..:-) hope you like and again this is not bete-ed so have mercy with me..:-) be well be safe and happy huggs Mija..:-)
