Chapter 26~Its Time!

~~~Back at Naraku's Castle, he was furious. He angerly paced his private quarters, his dark, enraged aura pulsing and sweeping off of him in waves. Kanna stood far back from her sire. Although her face still held that blank expressionless mask, inside she was frightened. Kanna had never seen Naraku in such a state of rage before. She had watched as he had killed her sister Kagura. Yes Kagura had turned against him and had payed the price for her betrayal, but Kanna understood Kagura's need to protect her children. Kanna never understood how she and Kagura could be so diffrent, while Kanna obediantly obeyed Naraku, Kagura had fought him when ever she got the oppurtunity. This time she did not survive thier Masters wrath, and Kanna wondered what this boded for her and for Kagura's girl child.

~~~Just then Naraku glared with dark red eyes at the small pale demon child and tried to control his rage. Kanna did not flinch or make any other sign of fear, although when he had looked at ther, she had wanted to flee from the room.

"Where is the brat?!" Naraku snarled.

"She is in the dungeon as you have requested." Kanna replied without emotion.

"Is she awake?"

"Not yet."

"The minute she wakes bring her here to me." Naraku commanded angerly.

"Yes Naraku." Kanna replied as she left the room as quietly as she could.

~~~When Kanna had left Naraku went back to pacing the room with fury, like a caged beast, waiting for his oppurtunity to pounce and escape. Naraku was livid. He could still not believe that Kagura..HIS offspring had dared to attack him and foil his plans. Now not only did he have one less demon at his side, but was out the shards he would have gotten from Kouga, and in the process had lost one of the pups. He had been lucky to have gotten his hands on the female pup just before he had made his escape. He was still confussed on how Inuyasha and his group had been able to be so near and he not able to detect them. They had done something to mask thier scent and thier aura's. So even if Kagura had not acted on the behalf of her pups, he would of had a hard time battling Inuyasha and his friends, especially now since hed found his half demon half sorceress sister Kyoto and had Lord Sesshoamaru fighting along with them as well. He might of been able to handle Inuyasha and his friends, maybe even the demon sorceress, but them and Lord Sesshoumaru all together with out Kagura? It would of been almost impossible.

~~~His thoughts turned then to the female pup he had in his dungeon. Of the two pups, he had had to get her. Of the two she was the most unnerving one of the both. He still couldnt explain why the way she looked at him made him very uncomfortable. Everytime the girl child stared at him with her cold emotionless eyes, it was like she was trying to look deep within the soul she believed was there. He would of much preferred to have kept the boy child and left the girl to Kouga if he had been given a choice, or had even wanted Kouga to ever have either of them. As long as he still held one pup, he still had a bargaining tool to get the shards, but no one would fall for his ploys or plans now. They would all be on guard. He had been able to always find a way to lure his enemies to him and make them suffer as he got what he wanted anyway, but somehow he didnt see anyway of using what had happened to his advantage. For once he was totally clueless how to proceed. All he knew was that he wanted the shards, but was having the girl pup with him worth it? For some reason, something inside of him told him to kill the girl now.

~~~Just then there was a knock at his door and with a growl of acknowledgement, the door opened and Kanna came in.

"What is it?" he asked.

"The girl is awake Master." she told him.

"Bring her to me." he commanded. Kanna walked out the door and left him to get the child. Naraku was still clueless of what to do with the child, but one thing was for sure. The child was going to pay for her mothers betrayal, as well as for her attempted escape as well as the escape of her twin. He would take great joy in making the little one pay dearly for his plans being foiled. He would not kill her yet, but would make her suffer his wrath.

~~~Dawn had come and everyone had gotten up and were preparing to discuss what to do when all of a sudden Kaze, who was still sleeping on his fathers palet, began to scream. Kouga ran to his pup and pulled the boy to his chest protectively.

"What is wrong my son?! what is happening?!" he asked with fear and anger. His instincts were to keep his pup safe and keep him from pain, yet he did not know what was happening, he could not see any danger and did not know what to do.

"KALI!!!!!!!...THE BAD MAN IS HURTING HER..KAAAAALLLIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Kaze screamed, holding his head in his little clawed hands, trying to stop the pain and screams he heard in his head. He could hear his sister crying and screaming. He could feel her pain, her fear, she was calling to him and he didnt know what to do. Tears streamed down his face.

"Dear Gods what am I to do??!..Tell me?? Someone help me save my pup!" Kouga howled in sorrow, seeing the pain in his sons eyes and smell it on him. He knew his daughter was in deep pain as well and did not know what to do. Kouga had never felt soo helpless in his entire life. Tears poured from his own eyes. The tears of a father unable to stop the pain of his pups.

"Its ok Kaze..Kouga..." Kyoto replied as she tentivly walked to Kaze and placed her hand on his forehead. She flinched and gritted her teeth, trying no to cry out as what she felt and heard and saw. Naraku was beating the defensless girl pup. But she got what she needed and tore her hand aways from Kaze.

"Kyoto?" Miroku asked going to her and wrapping his arms around her, when he saw the look of pain and fear in her eyes.

"Naraku...hes..hes beating Kali.." she began to explain. Before she could finish Kouga growled and howled.

"I AM GOING TO KILL THE BASTARD!!!!!!!!!" he swore, his eyes turning red, and everyone feared he was going to turn into his demon form, which greatly upset them as well as the pack.

"You will get your chance..get ready now Kouga..everyone...I have linked up to Kali's mind..Dont know how long the link will last so we have to move NOW..Kaze must stay here, out of Naraku's reach..and..and I will need help to go with you..My strength weakens as the link is in place." Kyoto explained. Everyone was up and ready to go. They had waited for this moment. It was time. Naraku would pay for taking Kouga's pups and for hurting Kali now.

~~~Miroku wanted to carry his mate but knew he did not have the demon strength that Inuyasha had so could not.

"Will you carry Kyoto on your back Inuyasha?? I will ride with Sango and Kagome on Kirara." Miroku asked. Already Kouga was barking orders, some of his men would go with him to save his pup while other would stay to gaurd the den, the pack and his son.

"It would only slow us down..the fire cat would be too burdened...I will carry my sister, Inyasha will carry his mate and you may ride with mine..but be warned Monk..touche what is mind and I will kill you slowly." Sesshoumaru cut in, surprising the heck out of everyone, but no one argued. There was no time. Kouga was desperate to leave, and Kyoto was warning them to hurry. With a nod of agreement from everyone the group left to rescue Kali.

A/N~Okies heres the next chap, sorry it took soo long to update, but again writers block..lol..hope its still up to standards, let me know what everyone thinks and again this is not beta-ed so forgive the grammer errors and misspellings, hope they are few and far between..lol..and to my one reviewee who asked why Sesshoumaru didnt bring Kagura back to life?? well Im going with the whole, she was never meant to live scenerio, I mean she was never really born, she was created out of Naraku fully grown, without a heart or soul, and besides, she was never meant to survive in my fic..sowwy, but theres no way she would be able to live with Kouga as his mate, he and she hate each other alot for good reason and his pack would of not accepted her no matter what, sooo, I had to free Kouga and put Kagura to rest, just thought I would have her die with some honor, saving her pups from Naraku.
