"How am I supposed to do this?" The boy asked himself. He fidgeted with a piece of paper with the tacky notebook edges that was slovenly folded into a square. He contemplated leaving ten times already because this just wasn't his thing. He would never send a love letter and if he was going to do it, it definitely wouldn't be the desperate "slip it in the locker" bit.
"InuYasha?!" A young boy called making the said boy jump in fright.
"Fucks your problem, Miroku." InuYasha said before landing a punch on his bestfriend's arm.
"Ouch, man, I thought you were a lover not a fighter." Miroku said gesturing towards the note that was held loosely in the young boy's hand.
InuYasha blushed before landing another punch to his arm. "Shut the fuck, man."
"Alright, I give up. I can see how touchy this is for you." Miroku said holding rubbing his arm.
"Stop dicking around. It's not funny. This is serious business. I don't know what to say or what to do. This is all new to me."
"You never had a crush before?!"
"Yeah, of course, I've had crushes before, but I think...." InuYasha sighed hating to admit this to anybody. "I think it's more than that."
"Damn, man, I didn't know it was like that. If you love her then..."
"Hey! I didn't say," InuYasha outbursted before lowering voice when he realized where he was."I didn't say I loved her. I just said it was more than a crush. Hell, I'm thirteen. I'm grown. I don't have crushes. That shit is for kids."
"Well, what is it?"
InuYasha shrugged his shoulders. "How in the hell I'm 'posed to know? I told you this was all new to me. Just tell me how to...you know...make her like me."
"Look, all I can say is that you can't make her like you."
InuYasha nodded. The one thing that scared him about doing this was that she wasn't going to like him back. He didn't know women like Miroku did and didn't know the signs to tell if a girl liked him. "Well, I better put this note in her locker before class ends. Cover me."
"Alright." Miroku said.
InuYasha looked down at the note then back up at the locker. How did he end up at this point. Just in elementary, he was putting glue in her hair and she was pouring ants down his pants. How did he start feeling the way he did for her? She wasn't all that cute. She wasn't all that developed like the other girls. Plus, she wasn't all that lady like especially with the mouth she had on her. What was it about her that made his insides flip-flop.
"InuYasha, what are you doing at my locker?" A light voice asked.
InuYasha nearly pissed his pants when he heard her voice. "Huh?" He said turning around.
"I said, what are you doing at my locker?" The girl said. Her hair was in a neat french braid that tail swung to the back of her neck. Her eyes were a dewy morning sky that twinkled from the well lit hallway and pouty lips were pursed.
"Pfft. I wasn't doing anything at your locker. What? You want to do something about it." InuYasha said.
She grumbled before shoving him out the way. "I don't have time for your games, InuYasha. I have class to go to." She said as she opened her locker and placed her books in before grabbing another one.
"You better get your mind right before you start shoving people around. If you weren't a girl, I'd plant one to your head."
"You're such a monster, InuYasha."
"Yeah, that's what your mother said last night."
"When are you going to grow up?" She said before slamming her locker. "You've been acting like a little kid since kindergarten." She said.
"I am grown and if you grow into that scrawny body, then I might just show you how much of a man I really am."
"I don't think I would be that impressed." She said folding her book into her arms.
InuYasha huffed as, once again, her mouth got the best of his temper. "I wish you would impress some breasts onto those mosquito bites, sugar titts."
"My name is Kagome. Why can't you form my name out of that dirty hole you call a mouth?"
"I might throw up, itty bits."
Kagome stuck out her tongue before walking away.
"See ya later, tiny tots." InuYasha said with a smile. Once she turned the corner, his smile deflated into a frown. "Fuck." He whispered to himself. "Me and my big ass mouth."
"She won't like you if you keep treating her like that." Miroku said
InuYasha jumped before turning around. "Where the fuck were you at?" He said before hitting him again in the arm.
"Owww, I saw Sango and...well...I couldn't help myself."
"I told you to cover me not that amazon." InuYasha said before sighing. "I almost got caught. Do you even know how embarrassing that would've been?"
"It doesn't matter anyway. You keep treating her like a dog everytime she comes by."
"I don't want her to be on to me."
"I thought you wanted her to know you liked her."
"I do, I can't act a certain way one day then do a complete turn around the next. Look, I know what I'm doing."
"You're a hard puzzle to crack, InuYasha." Miroku said before walking away.
An older version of the teenage girl walked in with an apron around her pregnant belly. "Hey, honey. Go upstairs and get ready. Dinner will be ready in a minute."
"Is dad home?"
"No, he's working late. It's just going to be me, you, and the baby."She said patting her stomach.
Kagome frowned before trailing upstairs. She walked towards her room before stopping at the baby’s room. It was decorated with blue wallpaper with duckie prints on it. Kagome smiled before walking away and headed to her room. She walked into her refuge from life as she dropped her books onto her desk.
“My arms hurt so bad.” She said swinging them in a windmill motion to gain feeling back to them. She stopped before sighing and threw herself on her bed. “InuYasha is such a jerk.” She whispered to herself before turning to her side. “Why can’t he just be nice? What’s his deal with me?”
Kagome shook her head before getting up and walking to her joining bathroom. She looked in the mirror and frowned. She turned sideways as she smoothed out her pink shirt trying to protrude out her “not-quite-there” breast. She pursed her lips before grabbing tissue off the roll and balling it up. She put the balled up tissue into her training bra trying to get what all the other girls had.
"This looks stupid." Kagome said before sighing and took out the make-shift breasts.
“What’s wrong with me?” She whispered. “If only I had what all the other girls had.”
She closed her eyes and imagined she was like the big breasted girls on T.V. that all the guys wanted. She would do everything if she was like them.
“Kagome, dinner’s ready?!”
Kagome opened her eyes and looked in the mirror and grimaced at her reflection. “I guess it just isn’t in the cards for me.”
“You’re like a dog, InuYasha. Normal kids greet their parents first, but the first thing on your mind is always food.” An older woman said as she cooked dinner.
“Sorry. Hey, mom.” InuYasha walking over to gingerly place a kiss on his mother’s cheek.
“Hello, sweetie.”
“Now, what’s for dinner?”
Izayoi giggled as she shook her head. “You’re hopeless. Dinner will be ready in a minute. Go upstairs and wash up.”
InuYasha sulked before running upstairs on the way to his room.
“Dork attack!” A voice yelled and before InuYasha could get his thoughts together, he was already in a headlock by his brother.
“Let go, Sesshomaru!” InuYasha screamed as he struggled in his brother’s grip.
“Say uncle.”
“I ain’t saying anything.”
“Say uncle or I’ll dump your head in the toilet.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” InuYash strained out.
“You asked for it.” Sesshomaru said before trailing to the bathroom with his brother’s head in a firm grip and InuYasha screaming the whole trip. “You scream like a little girl.” Sesshomaru said holding InuYasha’s head over the bowl.
“Let me go!”
“Take a deep breath, little brother.”
“Boys, dinner is done!” Izayoi yelled from downstairs.
“You’re lucky.” Sesshomaru said before letting InuYasha’s head go. “I’ll get you tomorrow.”
“You bastard.” InuYasha said as he hit his brother in the arm before taking off.
“I’ll get you for that.” Sesshomaru yelled back.
“Boy, stop running around the house.” A older man said as he read a newspaper at the head of the table.
“Sorry, dad.” InuYasha said before sitting down.
“I would hate for you two to break another thing in this house.” Izayoi said before scooting up to the table.
“Yeah, like the vase InuYasha broke yesterday.” Sesshomaru said walking into the dinning room before sitting down.
“Vase. My vase. InuYasha, I can’t believe you.” Izayoi said.
“God, you’re such a snitch, Sessh.”
“That’s for telling on me for staying out all night.”
“You stayed out all night?!” Izayoi exclaimed.
“For your information, I didn’t tell her. I told you that I told her to get back at you for putting that shaving cream on me while I was sleeping.”
“I can’t believe you two.” Izayoi said before shaking her head. "Oh, InuYasha, the school called."
InuYasha paused and looked slowly up at his mother. "For what?"
"For skipping your eighth hour. What could you possibly be doing that doesn't require you to have your butt in that desk?"
"Probably was with his girlfriend." Sesshomaru said making InuYasha scowl him.
"Girlfriend?” Izayoi said. “Who is your girlfriend?”
“I think it’s Ms. Kagome.”
“Kagome Higurashi from down the street. Why didn’t you tell me you were going with her?”
“I don’t go with her, okay!"
"That's not what this letter I found said." Sesshomaru said pulling out a love letter that some how fell out of InuYasha's pocket and into his hands. "Um..."Dear Kagome,......"
"Give me that back, Sessh." InuYasha said reaching over the table.
Sesshomaru moved back to dodge his younger sibling. "I know I might be mean to you, but I feel the complete opposite for you....."
"Aww, InuYasha, that's sweet. Continue Sesshie." Izayoi said.
"I've never felt this way and I was wondering if you liked me back. Meet me after school." Sesshomaru paused to laugh. "That's priceless."
"My son's first girlfriend." Tai said before laughing then joined Izayoi.
"Oh, my god! You guys are ruining my life!" InuYasha screamed before running out of the dinning and up the stairs to his room. He slammed the door behind him and threw himself of his bed. Tears were threatening to come from his eyes.
"Sesshomaru is such fucking ass." InuYasha said trying to hold back the sadness. He was so embarassed that his skin felt like it was melting off his face. He had no headway whatsoever with Kagome. He was awkward, skinny, and had no style. He wasn't sure she would like him in the first place and the last thing he needed was his family laughing at him.
"Yash." Tai said as he knocked lightly at the door.
"Leave me alone!" InuYasha yelled.
"Come on, son, open the door."
"It's open." InuYasha said sucking up his sniffles.
Tai walked into his son's room. "We're sorry, son. I didn't know how much this thing meant to you." He said, sitting at the edge of his son's bed.
"It doesn't." InuYasha said rolling his eyes.
"I know it does. Hell, I was the same way with your mother."
"It's not like that, dad.”
Tai took time to slightly chuckle at his son’s stubborn ways. “Well, whatever it is, I understand. You're growing up and you have to be a man about your decisions”
InuYasha snapped his head up and slowly nodded towards his father.
“Since you’re not coming back for dinner, I’ll save you a plate for tomorrow.” Tai said getting up and walking towards the door.
“Dad?” InuYasha whispered.
Tai turned around to acknowledge the young boy. “Yes, son.”
“Thanks.” He said.
Tai gave a short nod and smiled. “Good night, InuYasha.” He said before leaving the room.
"Still at it, huh?" Miroku said approaching his friend.
"Shut up, Miro. I'm handling this Kagome thing like a man."
"Alright, InuYasha. You still coming over tomorrow, right? I got a new game on the Nitendo."
"Oh, bet. I'll be over. See ya later, man." InuYasha said giving Miroku a pound before he walked away.
InuYasha watched his bestfriend walk away. "I got this in the bag." InuYasha said with confidence.
"InuYasha, what are you doing at my locker?" Kagome said approaching him. "Again." She drawled.
That same confidence deflated in a second once he heard her voice. "Huh?"
"InuYasha." Kagome said with impatience. She was beginning to get tired of his constant torturing. "What is your deal with me? I've never done anything to you. We've lived on the same block ever since we were little kids. We've went to the same schools and you were never nice to me." Kagome said as she began to spit fire onto the young teenager.
"Look,"
"No, you look." Kagome said as she quickly cut him off. "I'm tired of you now. I can't be your target for all your little schemes and plans."
"Will you just listen. I..."
"No, I'm not done." She said cutting him off again before she continued her rant.
InuYasha sighed mentally in his mind. "Damn, does this bitch ever shut up?' He said. "Do you want to walk home with me?" He quickly blurted out.
"And you never listen and...huh?" Kagome stopped.
"Do you want to walk home with me?"
"What?!" Kagome asked in astonishment. 'Was he for real?'
"I ain't repeating it again." InuYasha said sticking his hands into his pocket.
"Um...okay." Kagome in a suspcious tone. He was never nice to her and she didn't trust that he would wake up one morning and be a gentleman....kind of.
"Well, come on. It's getting late." He said grabbing her hand timidly, not really knowing whether she liked it or not.
Kagome squeezed his hand to reassure him and giving him the okay. InuYasha felt the butterflies of joy flap crazily in his stomach. Her warm, petite hand wrapped in his crossed the boundary of bliss and flew into the horizon of euphoria. He believed that there was not anything in the world that could compare to how he felt right at that moment.
"Um...Kagome?" InuYasha finally asked as they were almost halfway home.
Kagome lowered her head to hide her discernible blush. "Yeah." She whispered.
"You look...um...you know...pretty today." He stuttered, finding it hard to get the right words out.
"Thanks." She squeeked. Kagome wasn't use to this attention. She wasn't that cute. She did have to admit that somethings she says should best be kept in her mouth. Plus, she wasn't built like all the other girls. Her legs were long and scrawny, she had absolutely no hips and her breasts were as flat as beach board. Even throughout all her flaws, Kagome always believed that it was at least one boy out there that cared. InuYasha Taisho was the last boy on her mind she thought would give her the time of day.
InuYasha wanted this innocent moment to last forever, but he knew it had to come to an end. "Well, um...here's your house." InuYasha said.
"Thanks, InuYasha. I really appreciate it." She said before she nervously started to fiddle with her fingers.
"Um....sooo," InuYasha began as he rose on his heels before setting them back down.
"Yeah." Kagome said awaiting his words.
"Me and Miroku are going to hang out at his place tomorrow. Maybe if you and Sango aren't busy..."He said leaving the offer floating in mid-air.
"Sure." Kagome quickly said. "I mean, I'll call Sango and see if she can go or not." She said trying not to sound too eager about it.
"Cool. Cool. So, I might see you there, huh?" He asked.
"Maybe." Kagome said before she gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Bye." She said before running to her front door and waving before she disappeared into the house.
It happend so fast that InuYasha didn't register what just happened. "She kissed me!" He shouted as he jumped up and down the street towards his house repeating the sentence. "She kissed me!"
"Kagome, is that you?" Mrs. Higurashi said from the kitchen.
"Um...yeah." Kagome before slipping out of her school shoes and into the house slippers.
"Come her for a minute." She paused. "There's something mommy needs to tell you." She woefully said.
"Sure." Kagome said before running into the kitchen, still excited about earlier. "Yes, mom. What's up?" She asked leaning against the kitchen doorway.
"I think you need to sit down."
Kagome changed her elated expression to replace it with a worried one. "What's wrong, ma?" The young teenager asked as she sat across from her mother at the breakfast table.
"You're father was in a car accident."
"Really? What hospital is he at? Do you we have to visit him because I have a lot of homework over the weekened."
"Kagome just listen. Your father was in a car accident. His car skidded off an overpass." Mrs. Higurashi stopped to let tears flood her eyes. "He didn't make it." She squeeked before going into hysterics.
Kagome was the complete opposite. The hit was fast and deadly. She didn't know how to react. She stood completely still and frozen in her seat. How could this happen? Just this morning he was at the breakfast table and now he was supposed to be dead. Kagome couldn't believe it. It didn't fully register in her mind so she just sat there as her mother weeped and sobbed.
InuYasha approached Kagome's house and was happy to see her sitting idly on the porch. 'Maybe she's waiting for me.' He boosted himself up. "Hey, Kagome." He said approaching her.
Kagome cried so hard last night that she thought he lungs would explode out of her chest. She could still taste the salt of her sorrows on her lips and she knew that her pillow was soaking wet. She heard a voice calling her name, but didn't have enough strength to comprehend. She felt a looming presence over her, but didn't have enough strength to look up.
'Was she deaf? InuYasha asked himself as he wondered why dhe didn't respond to her name. "Kagome, are you home?" He said before chuckling. "God, you can be so dense sometimes." Again, she didn't respond. "Look, itty bits, I know you hear me." He said before playfully pushing her.
Kagome was aware of the slight push, but to her it felt like a hard blow in the fragile state she was in. She didn't know how it happened, but she quickly got up and landed an explosive punch to InuYasha's face. The irritation of her father's death, her mother's pregnancy and everything she went through with InuYasha all the way up until yesterday builded itself a mountain of anguish inside of her. The push the teenage boy gave to her just erupted the volcanoe.
InuYasha held his jaw from the harmful punch. "What's your deal, wench? I didn't push you for real. I barely touched you."
"Leave me alone, InuYasha! I can't stand you. I hate you and everything about you."
"What the hell is your problem?" He asked. He was beginning to get lost in translation with Kagome. She was so flip floppy and he couldn't keep up with her emotions.
"You're my problem. Just get out of here."
"You're completely crazy." He said. "I don't get you at all."
"Fine. You don't have to. I can get my own self and that's all I need. I don't need you or anybody else."
"Whatever, you crazy broad." He said blowing her rant off.
"Just get away." She said pushing him out of her walkway. "Just leave and don't come back."
InuYasha was good up until the point where she was violently pushing him. He didn't want to let her know how much every inch of her shoving was killing him inside on some level. "Hey, stop." He said standing his ground. Even though she was slightly taller than him, he was still stronger. "What's wrong with you, for real? I thought....you know, you and me were..."He stuttered not wanting to get the words out on account of embarrassing himself. "I thought we were....cool."
"We never were cool. I don't like you and I never will. Just get away from me!" She yelled.
"Fine." He said trying to hide the evident hurt that was breaking his heart. "Fine. Forget you then. You're not that cute anyway." He said before storming off. He couldn't control the tears that seem to stream down his face and before he knew it, he was running towards his home. He ran in his house and the stairs to his room. He wiped the tears with his sleeve, but more just kept reappearing themselves.
'Why am I crying like this? Why does my stomach hurt so much?' He was litterally sick with sorrow and he knew that life would never be the same if he stayed here in Tokyo. Not without her it wouldn't.
An: Happy Holidays!
All I Want for Christmas is.....
A Love Story
A teenage boy rubbed his hands together and shifted his weight back and forth in utter nervousness. He looked up to the locker and air vents that would seal his doom.A Love Story

InuYasha walked into the house and mouth watered at the smell of his mother’s cooking. He quickly dashed into the house and into the kitchen. “What’s for dinner?” He said with saliva practically dripping from his mouth.“You’re like a dog, InuYasha.

"You have to be a man about your decisions." InuYasha repeated the setence his dad said last night. "Dad's right. I can't keep running away." He said as he stood infront of Kagome's locker waiting for her to get out of her last class for the day."Still at it, huh?" Miroku said approaching his friend.

Kagome's cheeks burned with such intensity she was sure they would melt off. 'I can't believe I just did that!' She mentally squealed before shaking out all her giddiness."Kagome, is that you?" Mrs.

InuYasha whistled as he walked down his block towards Kagome's house. Last night was the best sleep he ever got. Kagome was in his dreams and he just hoped that he was in hers. How could yesterday turn out to be so perfect? InuYasha touched his lips that still burned from her moist lips against his. Even if it was only for a second, she did him for a loop and he was hooked already.InuYasha approached Kagome's house and was happy to see her sitting idly on the porch.
