She watched from the bushes as he embraced her. As he kissed her. As he promised to always be there for, and always protect her.

It just wasn’t fair! She had been through more with him then that dead bitch ever was! She accepted him as he was, a hanyou, while the women he was currently embracing only wanted him human! It was so unfair. And she’d had enough.

Enough of the lies, enough of his rude comments, of his arrogant attitude, of his pride. How dare he act like he cared when Kouga came around, only to act like he didn’t care about her to begin with afterwards.

Oooh no. She wasn’t going to forgive him. Not this time.

She had always been there for him, always forgave him for everything he’d ever done to hurt her. Always helped him when needed, wither he asked for it or not. Always stood up for him when ever Kouga made some trashy comment about him while he wasn’t around. Always made sure that she was doing everything she could for him, everything she could to try and make him happy.

She was tired of it! And she wouldn’t stand for this kind of treatment anymore!

She stood, not caring that they both now knew she was there. Or that she was staring at him head on. She didn’t even notice she was glaring at him either.

“K-Kagome?” he whispered, completely in shock.
“What?” she snapped, her voice harsh and angry.
“What are you doing here, wench?” the women in his arms hissed.
“Shut your trap Kikyo.” Kagome growled. And she turned, storming off.
“Kagome!” he yelled after her, and he started running after her.
“Inuyasha, sit.” and he once again as kissing dirt.
“Bitch.” he ground out, forgetting his current position.
“Excuse me?” Kagome hissed, stopping dead in her tracks.
“Bitch.” he said it louder, unaware that they were at the village again, or that Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kaede were watching him.
“You wanna repeat that?” her voice was a deathly whisper, and was challenging him. And you know Inuyasha, he never backs down from a challenge,
“I called you a bitch.” Kagome smiled. Not one of her usual smiles. This one looked more like one of Naraku’s evil smirks. Making the whole group’s blood run cold.
“Well Inuyasha.” she took a step forward, and when he started to get up sat him again. “I have a few things I’d like to call you.” she said, her voice un-naturally calm. “You want to know what they are?”
“Why could I care bitch?”
“Sit.” Kagome muttered. “Now, now. You shouldn’t be so rude.” she crotched down in front of him. And he lifted his head up to look at her. “You’re a rude, egotistic, selfish, arrogant, stubborn bastard.” and she stood again. Turned and walked away.

The group gaped at her retreating figure. Eyes all wide. Never had Kagome ever swore before, especially not like that.
“Oi, wench!” Inuyasha yelled, jumping up. “Where do you think your going?”
“Not that you need to know Inuyasha, I’m going home.” her voice left no room for argument, but Inuyasha didn’t care. He argued anyways.
“You’re not going anywhere.” he snapped.
“And you’re going to stop me?” she hissed. Daring him to try it.
“I sure as hell am.”
“Why don’t you do me a favour?” Kagome’s voice went cold yet calm. “Why don’t you just go find Kikyo,” her voice was low. “AND GO TO HELL!” she yelled it, and stormed off. Grabbing her bag from the hut before stomping off towards the well.

Inuyasha didn’t move. He couldn’t. Had Kagome really just told him to go to hell? Had she meant it? And why did it hurt so much?

Shaking his head he followed after Miroku, Sango and Shippo who had taken off after her.

“Kagome! Please wait!” Sango yelled, tears were in her eyes by now. Kagome slowed, but only because she saw the well. “Please don’t leave! Not because of him!” Sango pleaded. Hugging her hands around her sister.
“Sango. Take good care of Shippo for me, alright?” Kagome whispered.
“Can’t I come with you?” Shippo whimpered.
“Sorry Shippo. But no.”
“Then you can’t leave! Please don’t leave! You can’t let that bastard Inuyasha make you leave!” Shippo cried. His hands over his eyes as his sobbed into them.
“Please don’t cry Shippo.” Kagome whispered, rubbing his back a bit. “Take good care of Miroku and Sango, for me. Make sure Miroku stays out of trouble.” Kagome sent a look his way. “And make sure Inuyasha doesn’t get his head blown off.”
“Why should you care? You just want me to go to hell.” Inuyasha snapped, sitting on the lip of the well.
“That may be. But as Kikyo said before. Your life is hers. And she wouldn’t be happy if you got killed by someone else now would she?” her voice was cold again. It seemed to only be cold when she was talking to him.

Kagome turned to Miroku.
“You had better not hurt her monk.” she hissed. “Or I will personally see to it that you never see the day light again.” Miroku gulped and nodded.
“There’s not changing your mind, is there?” Sango whispered.
“Please don’t be sad Sango. I won’t forget you, any one you.” she was walking back towards the well again, and towards Inuyasha. “move.”
“Make me.” Kagome put a hand on the side of his arm, and smiled at him. And he felt like she was going to stay, until that is, he felt her miko powers shoot out of her hand, down his arm and send him flying.
“I told you to move.” she said simply, before jumping over the lip of the well for good.

She bolted up right as sweat covered her body. She hadn’t thought about that moment for 10 years now. And she’d be damned if she started now. Because if she thought of that, she’d think of him. And then she’d remember how much it had hurt to attack him like that, and then just leave. With no backwards glance. Not that she would have given him one. He didn’t deserve it.

What had gotten her thinking about that anyways? Oh yeah…she was going home this morning. Back to that stupid shrine, on that stupid hill, with that stupid tree, and that stupid well. She’d be damned if she started thinking of using the well to go back either.

Sighing she looked over at her room mate, and smiled. Mizu was still sound asleep, and smiling in her dreams.

Mizu was her collage roomy. She had deep sea blue eyes, and long blonde, almost bleach white hair.

Mizu was almost the same as Kagome. Yet so very different. She was a diva, and a drama queen. She was popular, and loved. Kagome was the punk ass with the multiple piercing, the tattoos, and aggressive attitude.

Kagome was the lead singer and guitarist in her band, while Mizu was the top student in all her classes, and she the prom queen in high school.

After the whole incident with Inuyasha Kagome had moved to America, California to be exact and she had meet Mizu there. They had instantly clicked. And it was a mystery how the schools most popular, and beautiful girl could be friends with the schools badass.

But, Kagome was also popular, no matter how much she hated it. And just as beautiful as Mizu. And she always had the rep, that if you ever messed with her friends, you were in for it. And she always lived up to it too.

When Mizu’s boyfriend had dumped her just because Mizu wouldn’t go to bed with him, Kagome had kicked his ass into the next century. And there wasn’t a girl who went out with him sense.

Remembering that made Kagome laugh, and her laugh made Mizu stir before opening her eyes.
“Damn Kagome.” she whimpered.
“Go back to sleep Mi.” Kagome whispered. “I have to get up anyways.” she said, glancing at the clock beside her bed. Mizu instantly shot up.
“Oh my god! I forgot! You’re leaving today aren’t you!” she yelled, ripping covers off and sitting on the side of her bed.
“It’s alright. I wasn’t going to wake you either.” Kagome reluctantly got up, and stretch with her back to Mizu. Stretching out her dragon tattoo on her back and making it look like it was flying.
“That tattoo always creped me out.” Mizu muttered. And Kagome laughed, making her back muscles vibrate which made the dragon move more. “Stop it!’ Mizu yelled, covering her eyes.
“Oh stop being such a baby.” Kagome flicked on the light, thought it was dim to not hurt her eyes and got dressed.

Slipping into an old pair of jeans with tears at the knees, and her black tank top with a skull in the middle of the chest. The head of the dragon popped out the back just under her shoulder blades.

The tattoo of the skull and cross bones on Kagome’s right shoulder was visible and the tattoo of the silver dog on her left ankle was covered up.

Mizu had suckered her into that one. She didn’t want to get anything that reminded her of Inuyasha, but hell, it was Mizu. And Mizu had the same tattoo on her left ankle as well.

She put the spiked barbell in the top of her ear, the snake bites back in her lips. She put the ring in her nose, and her right eyebrow. And the rings in her ears. and the little spiked ball in her tongue.
“How can you stand that thing in your mouth?”
“Ecuz Bi cabn.” Kagome said, though she still had a hold on her tongue.
“What?”
“I said.” Kagome swallowed. “Because I can.” and she turned to Mizu. “I didn’t show you my new piercing did I?”
“New ones?” Mizu wanted to laugh.
“Yeah. Or the new tattoos.” And she yanked her pants down to reveal a barbell on either of her sides, maybe an inch or two about the hip bone. And the word ‘Strength’ and ‘Friendship’ were printed in blood red kanji below them. “Damn Kagome.” Mizu muttered, shaking her head.
“Hey my body. I’ll do what ever the hell I wanna.”
“I know. I know.” Mizu stood up, and slipped on her own worn out jeans and a dark blue tee and started applying her make up. As did Kagome.
“Why are you getting ready? I’m the one whose gotta leave.” Kagome snapped, scooping her knee length red-streaked, silver-tipped black hair into a high pony tail. The end went just below her waist.
“Relax hot shot. I’m just going to come with you, and say good bye to my best bud.”
“Ah, I love you too.” Kagome said sweetly. Mizu smirked and made eye contact through the mirror. “Actually Kagome.”
“Oh no. What did you do this time? Who else’s ass do I have to kick?” Mizu laughed,. “No one’s. I was just going to go with you and hoping, that maybe you’d take me with you.”
“What?” Kagome looked at her disbelievingly.
“I know about the well Kagome.” Mizu stole a glance at her, and for the first time, confusion was written on Kagome’s face. “And I just wanted to know what feudal Japan looked like. You can take me there and then leave right after. I promise!” It sounded like Mizu was begging, and that was something Mizu NEVER did.
“I don’t know Mizu.” and now sadness was on her face.
“Please Kagome? I know about the demons and stuff. You could train me!”
“Me? Train you?”
“I want to now how to fight. I always felt like I didn’t belong here, in this time. Please…just let me see hoe it works out.”
“Fine. But you have to be careful. Things aren’t as easy over there.” And because Kagome was satring to see the clear blue skies and smell the clear air, she shook her head.
“Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!” Mizu yelled, latching onto Kagome.
“Alright.” Kagome laughed and hugged her back, kissing her cheek lightly. “Alright, now off. We have a plain to catch.”

After packing everything they could think of the pair of girls walked into the air port, and looked around. And one of them was glad to see almost no one around. Almost no one.

Why Kagome had taken the earliest plane possible Mizu could only imagine. But she didn’t care, she was just happy that she was coming with. And Kagome had even called the air port on her cell to have them arrange for another ticket. Being a singer must be so much fun. Probably more fun then being the best friend/sister of one.

“Alright. Seeing as we got the early plane their’s probably not going to be anyone on it. And because I requested a privet plane doesn’t really matter.” Kagome seemed to be talking to herself, again… “But, no one should see me.”
“Don’t like being seen with me?” Mizu pouted.
“That’s not it. I just hate signing autographs.” And because Mizu knew it was true, she laughed. Now it was Kagome’s turn to pout.
“You wouldn’t be laughing if your hand drops off because of all the papers and photos you have to sign.” Then Kagome stopped. “How the hell do they get al those photos anyways?” she looked at Mizu whose eyes were wide.
“STALKER!” both girls yelled. And they laughed. The few people who were there stared at them with ‘What the fuck’ looks on their faces. Making the girls laugh louder.
“Come on, lets go.” Kagome said, pulling Mizu to one of the counters.

After boarding the plane and taking off Kagome had put in her ear phones while reading a magazine. Not really interested in the shit the reports posted about her anyways. So it was pretty much like flipping through a black book.

The ride didn’t’ last as long as Kagome thought it would be. Maybe it was because she slept more then half the time. And Mizu had to wake her up when they landed. Apparently she didn’t mind the turbulence of landing. Hell, she probably didn’t even know they were in Japan until Mizu said something about it.

But Kagome loudly groaned when she saw her mother and brother standing in front of their car waiting for her. Her grandfather had died 3 years after Kagome had returned from the feudal era.
“Hey Kagome!” Mrs.Higurashi yelled.
“Hi mom.” Kagome groaned and Mizu laughed. Kagome was just glad her mother couldn’t see her face from this far away, or see the tattoos.
“Mom, this is Mizu. Mizu, mom.” Kagome said, opening the door to the back seat for Mizu.
“Hello, nice to meet you Mrs.Higurashi.” Mizu said sweetly.
“Oh please, call me Taya,” she said smiling. Kagome rolled her eyes.
“Mizu, drop the nice girl act and lets go. I hate being out in public if I can avoid it.” Kagome snapped.
“Yes Mrs. Bitchy!” Mizu said with a mock salute.
“Just get it.” Kagome growled and Mizu laughed, slipping into the car before Kagome.

When Kagome slipped in and closed the door her little brother Souta, who was now 18 turned and gave her a weird look.
“What are you staring at?” Kagome hissed.
“You know., mom wouldn’t let me get my nose pierced, or my tongue, or my eye brow. Hell, she wouldn’t’ even let me get my ear pierced.”
“Kags had her hips pierced too.”
“What!?” Souta yelled, giving Kagome an even weirder look.
“And she’s got like 5 tattoos.”
“Sis!” Souta yelled.
“Mizu, you’re slowly digging your grave.”
“Kagome, it’s not nice to threaten your friends.” Taya said as she got in, and started the car.
Kagome snorted. “What ever.”

The car ride was rather painless, until Souta informed Taya about the tattoos when Kagome was just about to get out.
“You little brat.” Kagome hissed. “I’m gonna kill you.”
“Gotta catch me first.”
“I wouldn’t run if I were you.” Mizu warned. “Kagome was the track star for 9 years at out collage.” Souta gulped when Kagome smirked.
“That’s right kid. You wanna run. Then run. I dare you.” Souta shrugged and headed to the house.
“Hey mom.” Kagome said. “I’m taking Mizu to the feudal era for a little training lesson. We should be back in a couple days, 2 weeks tops.”
“Alright dear, just be careful”
“You don’t need to tell me twice.” And Kagome grabbed her black backpack out of the trunk, as Mizu grabbed her pink one and headed to the well house.

“Alright.” Kagome said. “Just give me a big bear hug and we’ll go through.”
“Sounds good.” Mizu latched on for the second time that day as she and Kagome slipped over the lip of the well and into the blue light that awaited them.

(A/N: Should I stop here? Nah, I think I’ll keep going, just cuz I’m on a role here!)

Kagome helped Mizu climb out of the well with the vines, and climbed out herself. Surprised that she could still do it so easily.

She picked up her back pack, and headed into the woods, knowing just where she as going. She stopped when she saw the abnormally large tree and smiled.
“Alright, we’ll train here.” she threw her pack to the ground by the roots and smiled. “Come on, first shot.” Kagoem said smiling.
“Don’t you dare take it easy on me Kags.” Mizu warned.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” And Mizu charged.

He sat in the hut with his long time friends, watching as their children ran around in circles, chasing the Nekomata and laughing.

He had wondered what it would have been like to have a family like they did. Like Miroku and Sango. But seeing as the only women who had ever treated him with kindness, and actually cared for him were either dead or gone. His mother and Kikyo were dead. And Kagome had left him.

He still didn’t know what he had done to her. Why should she had cared if he was with Kikyo? It’s not like she had feelings for him. He was sure that no one could have feeling for a lowly hanyou. Kikyo hadn’t even had those kinds of feeling. She only wanted him to be human.

He thought he imagined it, but he knew that scent anywhere. And he imminently jumped up.
“Uncle Inuyasha?” the oldest asked. The 9 year old looking up at him while tugging his hakama pants.
“What’s wrong Inuyasha?” Sango asked as she, Miroku and Shippo walked in from the back room.
“Shippo, do you smell that?” Shippo sniffed and his eyes went wide.
“That’s not really…is it?” Shippo look at Inuyasha. “Oto?” he asked.

After Kagome had left Inuyasha had been somewhat of Shippo’s father. Okay, more like a lot like his father.

“I think it is.” Inuyasha replied.
“Is that blood?” Shippo asked.
“Yeah. Of some other human. Come on Shippo. Sango, Miroku. Lets go.” and he charged out.

They soon realized that Inuyasha was running towards the Sacred Tree. And they sound heard grunts of pain, and something smashing.

They stopped just a few feet away from the tree, to see a girl with yellow hair fly past them and into a tree. She grunted and pulled herself up.
“Damn.” she whispered. “You told me not to go easy on you.” another girl said, her back turned to them. From what Inuyasha could see she had her hair pulled up into a high pony tail, much like Kouga’s but it still reached her waist.
It was raven-back, but the tips were silver, and there were red streaks through it.

She was wearing weird looking pants, and a weird looking top that was thing straps on her shoulders. And Inuyasha could see what looked like a dragon head popping out of the top of it. He could see a skull with cross bones on her left shoulder. But he couldn’t see her face.

The girl behind him whimpered.
“That really hurt.”
“Your fault.” the other girl snapepd. “You told me not to go easy on you. And I didn’t. You’ve seen the asses I’ve kick. Hell, who was it that kicked the hell out of your ex-boyfriend?”
“You. It was you Kagome.” the girl said rolling her eyes. And the other girl spun.
“Damn straight.” she siad smiling and walking towards the other girl. Completely ignoring the group who had just showed up.
“Oh hey how are they?” Kagome snorted, not even looking. “Old friends.” she barley whispered it as she pulled the girl to her feet. “Come one Mizu. I didn’t kick you that hard.”
“K-Kagome?” Sango whispered and Kagome visibly winched.
“Yes Sango?” her voice didn’t’ change though, and she turned to her. No smile was on her face this time.

That was when Inuyasha noticed the weird things on her face. The things in her lips, eyebrow, ears, and nose.
“What the hell’s on your face?” he snapped and Sango elbowed him in the ribs.
“You’re gonna scare her off again.” she muttered to him.
“So nice to see you to Inuyasha.” Kagome’s voice was just as cold as the last time she had talking to him. And he inwardly flinched.
“Are those dog ears?” Mizu asked, stepping forward but Kagome’s hand on her fore arm stopped her.
“Refrain from touching Mizu.” Kagome hissed.
“Yes master.” Mizu muttered, crossing her arms. And Kagome smiled at her.
“Come on, you know you love me.” Mizu snorted. “Come on, say it. Say it.”
“Kagome you already know I love you.” And she too was smiling.
“So? It’s good to hear it.” Kagome laughed. And Inuyasha was staring wide eyed at her. Was Kagome gay or something?
“What the fuck is your problem?” Kagome snapped at him. Her voice wasn’t as cold anymore.
“You know Kagome. If their friends, you shouldn’t be so rude.”
“I’m rude to you, and you haven’t left yet.”
“That’s cuz your practically my sister.”
“Aha!” Kagome yelled, pointing at her.
“And you can’t use that against me.”
“Damn.” Kagome pouted and crossed her arms.
“Are you gay?” Inuyasha suddenly ask.
“Huh?” both girls asked.
“Well…you…ah…”
“You just said you loved each other.” Miroku cut in.
“If I said I loved you would that mean I’m fucked?” Kagome snapped. And Miroku went red. Kagome laughed.
“You never change.” and she grabbed her back pack, and walked away. “Mizu!” she called over her shoulder.
“What am I your slave?”
“I love you!” Mizu rolled her eyes. “I’m coming, I’m coming.”
“Good girl.” and Mizu laughed.

“What the hell happened to Kagome?” Shippo asked for the first time sense he got there.
“I…don’t know.” Inuyasha muttered, watching her retreating form.
“She looks hot.” Miroku said, smirking. Sango smacked him. “Oww….Sango.” he whined.
“You deserved that.” she growled. “Inuyasha, help.”
“Nope, I have to agree with her. You did deserve that one.”
“Come on. Lets go talk to her.” Sangop said, running after the girls.
“I just hope Kagome hasn’t changed to much.” Miroku whispered. “What is she doing back? It’s been ten years.” Shippo said. “I thought she wasn’t coming back. Not that I’m complaining.”
“I don’t know. I’m just glad she is back.” Inuyasha said, running after Sango.

Alright, There’s chapter 1. And a bit of a prologue in the first couple paragraphs. I know there are a lot of stories like this one. But I’m not going to make it so that Inuyasha comes right out and says he loves her. I’m just doing this to get my inspiration for my other stories going. And I think I should delete Charmed And In Japan….I can’t think of anything t write for it. Oh well. Please Review And Have A Nice Day!!
