As the sun rises above the mountains it's light casts a bright glow around the underground house.
"What a beautiful day." Miroku exclaimed as he laid eyes on Sango who was petting Kirara. Kagome was sitting next to her and they were having a hushed conversation.
"If I were you I wouldn't disturb them right now." Azrael said as he appeared behind Miroku.
"Ah! Oh it' s you for a moment there you scared me." Miroku said noting that Azrael was once again wearing his black cloak. Shippo appeared from behind Azrael.
"Yeah there talking about how Inuyasha is such a jerk!" Shippo exclaimed. " We haven't seen him all morining. There's no telling what kind of trouble he's gotten himself into!"
"I see." Miroku mused. Suddenly his stomache growled singaling his hunger.
"I don't suppose you have any food here?" Miroku asked. "Of food has been deplinished for sometime now but luckily we've always found a place to stay to get some more."
"Sorry, but there's no food here. Me and Shippo went out early to try and find some but we couldn't find anything. The wildlife was all scared off by Naraku and by all those demon's last night."
"That's something that I've been wondering about. Why exactly were there so many demons?"
"I haven't figured that one out either. It's like even though we descimated them, they kept coming back." Azrael said.
"Yeah it was scary." Shippo agreed. Suddenly there was a soft 'thud' behind them as Inuyasha arrived.
"Ah Inuyasha your back. Were have you been?" Miroku asked.
"Out getting breakfast for us." Inuyasha replied as he showed everyone the different fruits and vegetables he'd found.
"Wow, were'd you find all this. Me and Azrael searched all over and couldn't find any food." Shippo exclaimed.
"Well, I left early this morning and got this from a neighboring village." Inuyasha said.
"Wait, how far away is this village?" Miroku asked.
"Not far at all. Over those two hills there why?"
"It's just weird that Naraku would attack this village and not attack the other one that's so close. I wonder if there was something that he wanted here."
"Kagome, Sango! Inuyasha brought us some breakfast." Shippo said as Kagome and Sango realized that Inuyasha had returned.
"Oh, hey Inuyasha." Kagome said glumly as she and Sango walked over to where the others are standing.
"Umm, hey Kagome. Well, after this we better head on to see if we can catch Naraku's trail." Inuyasha mumbled as he scratched his head and looked away.
"Idiot..." Azrael said under his breath as he saw the hurt expression on Kagome's face, and the shame on Inuyasha's.
After breakfast the group set out of the destroyed village to find Naraku once again. As they exited the village Azrael paused for a second to look at the graves. He had his right hand close to his throat and was clenching something tightly in it. Kagome noticed that it was a necklace that she hadn't seen on him earlier.
*Oh well I probably just didn't notice it. This must be really hard on him.* With that thought Kagome walked over to him and laid her arm on his shoulder.
"Don't worry. We'll all make Naraku pay for sins." Kagome said solemnly.
Azrael nodded slightly as he noticed Inuyasha's stern expression.
"Let's get going." Inuyasha said as he lowered himself and let Kagome climb onto his back.
"You want to ride on Kirara with us?" Sango offered as she pointed to the transformed Kirara who lowered to the ground for them to climb on.
"Thank you, but I'd prefer to make my own way." Azrael said kindly. "Besides, I wouldn't want to burden Kirara."
"Hmm, I'm sure Kirara appreciates that." Sango said noting Miroku already getting onto Kirara's back.
"You coming Sango?" Miroku blissfully asked.
"Yeah I'm coming."
"Ok everyone let's go find that bastard!" Inuyasha exclaimed as he leaped quickly off the hill and began to move quickly across the wide plain. Kagome smiled lightly as she leaned across Inuyasha's back. Kirara flew gracefully above him with Sango and Miroku on her back. Miroku and Sango both had a slightly mishcevious look on their faces as Miroku put his arms around Sango as he said 'To keep from falling off.' Azrael though a lot slower than Inuyasha managed to keep up fairly well behind them. Finally they were off again to search for Naraku...but where exactly are they going now?
