<b> Chapter 3:

All I Had</b>

 

Kagome really tried to concentrate on what they began babbling about but as they approached the Western Territory, stronger memories came to her. The bad ones and the unpleasant, morbid memories she wish she could erase permanently. Maybe not, this was she, this made Kagome, Kagome. A miserable Kagome at that.

 

 

<i>Flashback

Kagome ran through the hallways to her dad's room. She was a bit delayed but she continued her journey in much anticipation to see her father. She never had wished her mother had died. That painful portrait of her mother stood out in her mind. Her soft, creamy skin…her milky, pastel blue eyes, and her delicate, silky black hair. It was all clear to her, many believed that she actually resembled her mother of course for the exception that her beauty totally surpassed any she ever may have possessed. When she found the door to her father's room she knocked politely and he invited her in.

 

 

“You seem unhappy, Kagome, what is the matter?”

“I…Well, nothing at all”

“Don't lie, Kagome, that's not a good habit”

“Its boy problems, that is all”

“So, my dear daughter is choosing her mate at such a young age”

“No Father, I just…”

“You just toy around with sex, like a little whore? Tell me Kagome, is that what you want to be?”

“No father”

“Then I suggest you tell this Sesshomaru to stay away”

“How…How did you know?”

“Kagome if you are trying to fool me, at least get his awful, aroused sent off of you, you little whore”

 

 

Later that day, Kagome was at the border of the Western Lands. Kagome kept sobbing, crying, and hurting. It hurt so badly, her dad insulting her and all. She was about to fall asleep but a rich voice stopped her.

“Kagome” he uttered but she never met his gaze

“Kagome, I am not up for your childish games, do face this Sesshomaru this instant” he ordered

“So, I am a child now?” she whispered hatefully

“Kagome, don't you dare defy me”

He went to reach for Kagome and she jerked away instantly. He grabbed a painful grip on her shoulders and jerked her up to face him. She tried to turn her face and he slapped her, hard.

“Do not jerk away from this Sesshomaru you low idiot” he said and threw her forcefully over his shoulder, using his demonic speed to get back to his palace quickly.

He stopped at the front door and gazed at her with hate until she hung her head low in submission.

“When we enter this estate, do not make a scene and do not act in rebellion towards my father and his mate, do you understand?” he said as if speaking to a child

She did not respond but she did her best to wipe away the tears that tinted her face and tried to look a bit happy which was almost impossible.

 

As they entered, a guard came to Sesshomaru and bowed respectfully towards Sesshomaru and Kagome.

“Good day, sire, I heard you requested for me?”

“I did require you assistance, but now it is not necessary”

“Hello, Miss Kagome, it is nice to see you again”

“Thank you, Torin, it's nice to see you also” she said and heard a low guttural growl from Sesshomaru, making Torin step back so in nervousness and fear

“I see, I shall retrieve to my military training, my lord”

“All is well, go now”

After that, Torin left a little hurried, most likely out of fear.

 

 

“Kagome, dear, what bring you?” said InuTaisho and hugged Kagome from behind (nothing sexual, just a plain old friendly hug)

“Good evening, Lord InuTaisho” she said and bowed her head respectfully once Sesshomaru and she turned around to face him.

“Well, what's with the formal greeting, Kagome?”

“Anyway, how is your father, dear?” asked Izayoi, Kagome thankful for the question interrupting her answering the other one. Izayoi secretly winked at her and Kagome put a little smile.

“He is very well thank you”

“Father, Kagome shall be residing here for the next 2 nights”

“It's all good and well, so sorry we can't stay Kagome, Inuyasha has some training with the Lord of the East's son, Yomi-san, I hope you don't mind?”

“No, not at all, have a great time” she said giving little Inuyasha a hug

“Son, I have one more question before we leave…where will little Kagome sleep?”

InuTaisho smiled as his son paused for a bit to think about it. Kagome knew InuTaisho wanted Kagome as his son's mate but as stubborn as he was, he never paid any mind to his father's suggestions.

 

 

“The room connected to my chambers shall prove to be sufficient, eh?”

“It is agreeable, ok, of we go, we shall return in 2 days when the sun is directly overhead…and Kagome, please stay for dinner, we would love to see you before you depart our residence”

“I will do that, Lord InuTaisho, have a safe trip”

With that, they left the front door and Sesshomaru took Kagome's hand and began leading her upstairs roughly.

 

Sesshomaru threw Kagome on her bed and shut the door. She laid there, and tears resurfaced, dropping on the pillow, soaking it in the process. She felt light-headed and her eyes felt heavy. Her head was practically throbbing in pain. She laid sideways, facing away from the door. Just as she was about to fall into the deep world of sleep, she felt a nudge at her neck. She turned to lie on her back and came face to face with Sesshomaru's golden eyes, he standing on all fours over her. His nose nuzzling at her neck lovingly.

 

His long silver hair tickled her skin and the sensation it gave her sent little electric shocks down to her toes. Then, she felt his long tongue press against the junction of her neck and her right shoulder. He whimpered like a little puppy, most likely because she wasn't responding to his little “signs” of affection.

 

His long canine fangs pressed against her skin and alarms went off in her head. He was going to mark her, his mate but that just couldn't happen. He didn't want this, she knew that, but was he doing it out of sympathy? Out of fun/pleasure? Or out of love? The last option wasn't possible at the time for her although it was the most obvious answer. She shook the though of him ever loving her like that aside and pulled at his hair, trying to coax him off of her. He didn't budge. She tried desperately to draw him away but out of the corner of her eyes, she could see his eyes glazing over with red. Blood-lust. If he bit, he wouldn't stop until he got his fill, his beast fully marking her. She couldn't allow this, even if she stopped it, he would get the blood his inner beast desired.

 

She grabbed a powerful grip on his head and pulling him off, he was baring his fangs at her now, not intentionally but out of the want of blood. She looked a bit horrified and turned her head, letting go of his head, it landing harshly at the middle of her throat. She screamed out in pure pain. He sucked at her throat, trying to get his fill on her blood. She tried to pull him off once more but this time it was useless, he wasn't budging at all so she bit her bottom lip and tried to make the pain go away, concentrating on something else. His inner beast subsided after it got its fill off of her blood. He closed her wound and started kissing her neck.

 

“I'm sorry, koi, please forgive me, please forgive me for causing you any unnecessary pain” he chanted over and over, kissing her neck lovingly.

“Sess-Sesshomaru?” she said in a low thick voice, full of lust

“Hai?” he asked

“I…I need you” she said and he smiled against her neck and…

End of flashback</i>

 

“Ka-Go-Me!” shouted Inuyasha, pulling her out of her rather pleasurable trance

“What, Inuyasha?”

“We'll be at his castle tomorrow at noon, Kagome-san” mentioned little Shippou

“Listen here, we ain't staying there forever, okay?”

“Inuyasha, we can stay there for at least a week, if he allows it, we need rest” said Kykio

 

“REST! REST?! What do you think we are doing? You'll humans sleep to much”

“And you'll hanyou's don't know when to stop!” retorted Kykio

Lord Sesshomaru and his military advisor, Torin, were walking in the garden. Torin and himself were discussing the current warfare issues. Although this was important, his mind seemed to wonder on occasion to the unforgettable object of his affection.

“So what do you think, sire?” asked Torin fully aware that he wasn't paying attention

“Huh?” he asked dumbly, something the Lord of the Western Lands did not do.

“You should have followed your fathers advice” said Torin un a matter-of-factly way

“I cannot take a low ones wisdom” he retorted

 

“Because he took a human mate?”

“Hai”

“Pride can blossom a firm stand but…pride can also wither a once there love…keep that in mind sire” Torin said, bowing quickly, and excusing himself from his Lord's presence

 

Sesshomaru thought a minute about his advisors words and then quickly disagreed. Love was a trap, a devious plot that made weak ones fall at its feet. Love was misery, love was hate, and hate made you weaker. Sesshomaru of the Western Lands did not regret his actions. Lord Sesshomaru was always right, wise, and most certain of his actions.

 

Sesshomaru though back when he was no older than twelve. At that time, his father was not firstborn, making him the successor of the throne if the firstborn died by any cause and had an unqualified child or no child at all. InuTentei, Sesshomaru's uncle, was disgusted by humans. When InuTaisho was contemplating mating with a human girl, everyone went berserk, and InuTentei enraged out of his brains. Sesshomaru, agreeing with his uncle's view on humans, hated his father after he mated with Inuyasha's mother, Izayoi. After a couple of years, his uncle caught a serious case of the flux while at war and was restricted to bed. His children and his mate were assassinated by the beginner of the war and InuTentei was going to die. Before he died though, he told Sesshomaru some words he vowed never to forget.

 

“Born in honor, live in honor, die in honor” his uncle said and died. After that, the 5-star rank dog general's second oldest son, InuTaisho took over the throne, his line automatically becoming royalty. Then he met Kagome.

 

<i> Flashback

 

He looked from his window, He saw his father taking an evening stroll around the labyrinth with his mate, Izayoi, he disgusted, looked away to the garden. There was his little hanyou half-brother with a young girl chasing after him. You would have though he had been disobedient but the amusement and happiness in her eyes told otherwise. His full attention involuntarily shifted to the young girl chasing his sibling. She was beautiful but frail, long black hair, emotion full blue eyes, and kissable cherry lips. He licked his lips as he went down, eyeing the rest of her assets. He stopped as he smelled his father's military advisors son. The knock came light but his sharp senses of hearing caught it immediately. He let him in.

 

“Sesshomaru-sama” the young man bowed

“Torin-san” he said still looking closely at the young girl

“Who is she?” he asked bluntly

“Kagome, daughter of Lord Naraku and Lady Seion; she is Inuyasha-chan's current caretaker”

 

“I see” he responded

“You seem like you're fond of what you see, eh?” said Torin playfully

“She is quite a sight” he whispered

 

“Would you like to bring her up so you may make acquaintance?”

“That would work”

 

Moments later, another knock came at his door. Torin excused himself and let the girl in. She smelled excited, her breath coming in ragged pants.

 

“Kagome…” he said still looking out the window

“Dog generals son-sama” she said and bowed deeply

“Sesshomaru…same”

 

“Forgive me”

“Ningens and their little…”

“I am not a NINGEN!”

 

“Do you dare defy this one?”

“No but I do dare teach you some manners!” she shouted

Next thing he did was pin her to the wall. They're noses touching slightly

 

“Remember your place…” he growled and her lips touched his lightly, he was surprised by her advance but did not push her back. His hands fell to her hips and her arms circled his neck. He bit her bottom lip, begging for entrance. She granted him permission to investigate her wet cavern and he lifted her slightly to his level. She automatically wrapped her legs around him and he sat her on his desk. One hand around her waist, the other hand scratching at the wooden desk as she rubbed against his erection making him moan darkly. She pulled away, catching her breath and stared at him momentarily.

 

“Sumimasen” (sorry) she said

“Do you always throw yourself at anyone?” he asked arrogantly. He didn't mean to say that but he just isn't nice.

 

“Well, excuse me, if you didn't want that kiss why did you stick your tongue down my throat?” she said, angrily

“Don't get me wrong, I won't deny a good fuck, although there are other people that actually are worth my time”

“You arrogant ass” she said

 

He could smell the tears after she left. Did he really hurt he feelings? Did he really treat her bad? Oh well he though and went back to his business.

End of flashback </i>

 

“Lord Sesshomaru, Lord Sesshomaru!” his toad follower screeched

“What is it, Jaken?”

“Inuyasha, he is here!”

 

Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed and he placed his hand on the hilt of Tokijin. He walked through his castle to the front yard. There was Inuyasha and his human friends. He snarled at them.

 

“So, little brother, you have come to give me Tesseiga or do you come to annoy me?”

“Actually although I would love to, I got a surprise for you”

 

Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed once more and he tried to figure out what his brother was planning.

He saw someone step from behind Inuyasha and his eyes widened slightly.

 

“Kagome…” he gasped

“Hai Sesshomaru that is me”

“It's been a long time…” he said

“I am aware…”

“Where were you?”

“Away, Sesshomaru, away…when our little `fling' ended, I left”

“I didn't end anything…you left me”

“You don't understand do you, they didn't want us together!”

“What the hell do they have to do with it?”

“It doesn't matter now, the past is the past, just now tat I still love you.” She said bluntly

“I lo-“

 

“Sesshomaru, honey, what's going on?” said Erina coming beside her mate she then noticed Kagome and suddenly was angered out of her mind

“Kagome…” she spat venomously

“Erina”

 

“What do you want from him? You already used him enough”

Kagome just stared

“Aren't you going to say something, bitch…defend your sorry ass? That's why he didn't want you, because he had someone bigger and better.” She spat

Kagome just stared

“What are you staring at?”

“Your fuckin ass, whore, bitch!” she said and Kagome jumped on Erina

 

Erina fell to the floor trying to get Kagome off of her. Screaming and kicking like a baby while Kagome scratched and punched at her face. Kagome grabbed Erina's hair by her head and slammed her against the floor several times. Erina punched Kagome's lip, splitting it open but Kagome's hands closed around her neck. Kagome squeezed to the point Erina was fighting her hands and not Kagome's face. The whole crew and Sesshomaru were around the fighting figures until Sesshomaru pulled Kagome away and whispered some comforting words in her ear to cool her down.

 

Erina composed herself and got up, embarrassed that a heavenly being greatly equivalent to a human just kicked her ass. Erina looked narrowly at Sesshomaru because of how he was holding Kagome so close.

 

“You may stay here as long as need be”

“WHAT?” screeched Erina

“Silence, bitch!” he shot her a death glare and she quieted

 

Everyone followed Sesshomaru and Erina walked kind of slow, waiting for Kagome to past her. When she did, she snickered and Kagome started at her.

 

“Watch it, Erina, next time I might just give you something to sicker at once you look in a mirror”

“That's okay because even though I might not his affection, he wants my attention because I am his mate!” she arrogantly spat

 

Kagome's heart sank…
