Chapter 9: Things Happen</b>

 

<i> Kagome was running through the forest, somehow she knew Sesshomaru was chasing after her. Of course he was, they were playing like little children would; it was typical. She came to the river and looked at the sparkling water, walking through the shallow water. The sun gazed upon itself, magnifying its glory on her cheeks, leaving her half blinded.

 

 

She threw a smile at Sesshomaru as he sat on the grass, only looking at her with a calm smile. Small strands fell from her long braid of black hair and she laughed.

 

 

She came out of the water and kneeled beside Sesshomaru, outstretching his hand; she gazed at it and placed her hand into his. She shuttered and pulled back.

 

 

That brought back memories she had wished not to bring up, the illness she had as a child. The thought of it coming back was terrifying to her more than anything.

 

 

“Here, this is for you” he said and placed a small blue flower into Kagome's hand, she only smiled

“Thank you”

“Yes, of course” he responded timidly and she smiled

“Listen” she suddenly said and his ears perked, listening for any stranger or foe

“No, not a person, listen to the wind.”

 

 

“There is no such thing”

“Why do you say that?”

“I cannot see it, I only believe in things I can gaze upon”

 

 

“I see, but take for example, you cannot see many things but you know its there because of certain events, correct?”

“Like what?”

“When it is cloudy, it is light, right?”

“Of course it is light”

 

 

“And do you know why?”

“Because the sun is hidden behind the clouds”

“Correct, you cannot see the sun but you know its there because it has its signs”

“I do understand that but this wind does not give you any signals”

 

 

“Yes it does, give me your hand” she said and he complied, when a breeze came by, she held it up so he could feel it, he looked kind of surprised

“Oh, I see”

 

 

“You can also see it when it brushes against the trees or the grass”

“How do you know so much about this nature?”

“I grew up blind and deaf, I had to feel myself through things”

 

“That is most disgraceful” he said, gutted at the fact she was so vulnerable

“I know, but I was not as weak as I may seem”

 

 

He took in the information and smiled. She smiled back and was about to kiss him but she heard a large noise, coming from the castle. She sighed heavily and he caressed her cheek before getting up and leaving without a word. She only got up and proceeded to walk across the stream to her home.

 

 

Walking through the front yard, the sparkling green grass warming covered her feet and ankles, shivers running up her body from the tickle-like feeling. She sat down at the door and ran in when she heard her parents arguing. It broke her heart to witness this but she knew if she didn't stop it now, her mother might get hurt.

 

 

As she walked into the room where they were fighting she almost screamed when she saw her mother on the ground crying. She had blood coming from her mouth and bruises on her cheeks. Naraku was rubbing his hands, a passive smile on his lips which creped her out. She hugged her mother and she felt on her, dying and taking herself out of a misery.

 

 

“Mother!” she screamed and Naraku wrapped a bandage around his wrist

“She's death sweetie”

“Don't sweetie me, you disgraceful half breed” she shouted and he slapped her

“Don't talk back to me; I'm sure your mother would not mind having her daughter next to her”

 

 

“I hate you, I hate you more than you can imagine”

“Oh, well, I'm flattered, you usually don't say anything”

“Be silent”

“Hmm, how commanding, I'm actually scared, I'm shaking” he said sarcastically and left, closing the blinds behind him

 

Kagome hugged her mother closer and started crying. Her mother, her precious mother was dead. </i>

 

Kagome didn't notice she was actually crying until she felt tears at the sides of her mouth. She decided to get up and change herself, making herself more presentable. Looking through the drawer she felt something hard crash against her fingers.

 

 

Picking it up and looking at it a second she took the dust off of it and looked at it a little closer. It was a box, rectangular and a bit heavy. It was no larger than a long book. She opened the box carefully and found a book, a medieval looking book that was locked.

 

 

She stared at the lock and sighed heavily. She hated when she found things she couldn't open or decrypt or something, it made her the more anxious to open it.

 

 

“Damnit” she whispered then covered her mouth and scowled herself for bluntly using such vulgar language

“Kagome, I heard that” said a voice and she suddenly turned to meet Torin's stare with a big grin

“Oh please don't tell Sesshomaru that, please, it was so unprofessional of me”

“Heh, I won't tell him a word, actually he wants me to tell you to meet him outside in the park”

“Oh, why?”

“I have no idea” he said but something told her that he knew very much what was going on.

 

 

Simply nodding and finding something to wear, she quickly went outside where she found Sesshomaru sitting on a bench. He seemed a bit nervous and shaky; she faintly heard he was telling himself to calm down and to take deep breaths. That's when she started to get a bit scared, what if something happed or something he never told her he would tell her now. She looked a little scared but sat in the bench beside him.

 

 

“Sesshomaru, you wanted to talk to me?”

“Huh? Oh yes, I wanted to talk to you” he said and he mentally slapped himself for acting so stupid

“So, what is it?” she asked and that's when he got on his knees and her eyes widened

“Kagome, you've know me forever and…and I realized how much I loved you. I wanted to know if you considered being my mate and the Lady of the Western Lands” he stuttered and she was shocked

“Sesshomaru…I-” she started but he quickly cut in

“Don't think I'm forcing you. If you decide to decline my request feel free too because I will understand without any if, and, or buts but I want you to know that I love you and you do believe me right? because I know that if-” he said quickly which totally let her know he was extremely nervous

“I will be more than happy to become your mate and the Lady of the Western Lands” she said quietly and he was talking to himself put his head popped back to look at her

“You will?” he asked with hope

“Of course I will, I too love you more than words could ever describe”

 

 

He took the information in but suddenly picked her put and hugged her tightly, his head buried into her neck, small tears falling from his eyes into her hair.

 

 

“Sesshomaru, what's wrong?”

“I am so happy; I am the happiest male on earth.”

“I…I'm happy too Sesshomaru”

“Hooray!” yelled a little voice and Rin came running from the shadows along with Torin running behind her, trying to shut her up but failed miserably

“I'm sorry my lord, I failed miserably”

“To a little girl like Rin?” asked Sesshomaru with amusement and cocked an eyebrow

“She threaten to tickle me, she's evil”

“Am not” yelled Rin playfully and stuck her tongue out at him

“You all are a bunch of silly people” said Kagome with a smile and carried Rin into her arms

 

 

“You are my mommy now and I want siblings to play with. Sesshomaru-sama told me that you would let me have bunches and bunches of siblings that you and Sesshomaru-sama would be very busy in getting me a lot of them. I want lots of them” shouted Rin and Kagome smiled

“Hmm, I agree but as long as Sesshomaru has them than I am satisfied. I can arrange that of course” she said and Sesshomaru laughed nervously

“Well, why don't we go inside and think about this more thoroughly?” he added and they all agreed

“I mean, one minute she wants to go then she stays, I wonder what Sesshomaru did to convince her” acknowledged Sango and Inuyasha just grunted

“That idiot thinks he can have anyone he wants” Inuyasha grumbled and everyone looked at him coincidently

“Well, Inuyasha, I really never thought you actually cared. She was your babysitter and did pretty much protect you from you brother so I guess that justifies it”

“The jerk doesn't know a lot of stuff I know thought, I'm sure it will break him up” said Inuyasha

 

 

“Is this some evil plan you haven't let us on because from what it looks like, you have a thing for this Kagome” added Miroku and Inuyasha slapped him across the head

“Shut up, ass, no one is letting you in on anything”

“God, Inuyasha, what has possibly gotten into you, you seem a bit agitated”

“Yeah, sure, whatever” added Inuyasha and got up and left into the woods. No one really followed him.

 

 

<i> “Inuyasha what's wrong? You seem a bit sad today” asked Kagome sweetly and Inuyasha just smiled

“Nothing really, other than the jerk trying to tell me off”

“What did he say?”

“Oh, stuff. He teases me because I'm still like untouched”

“What do you mean by untouched?”

“I don't know why I'm telling you this but I'm still like a virgin, I've never even kissed a girl”

“Oh, I wonder why it's so embarrassing to a male?, I think everyone starts somewhere. I'm sure you'll find someone nice soon”

“But, I know nothing” he pouted and Kagome pretty much knew where he was going with this

 

 

“Inuyasha, I won't take your virginity away but I can…why am I even bothering with this? God…I can kiss you and show you how you kiss someone”

“You will?”

“Yeah sure”

“So, what do I do?”

“Just follow me, ok?”

“Okay” he responded and she leaned against his lips and touched against them slowly

 

She bit at his lower lip and began sucking on it until he finally opened his pale lips. She stuck her tongue in his mouth and he suddenly began kissing her back a bit too professionally. She suddenly pulled back and hit Inuyasha across the head lightly.

 

“Jack ass” he muttered and he smiled

“What?”

“You kissed me on purpose”

“Yeah, you were teaching me”

“You already know how to, idiot”

“Oh, just a small fantasy I was trying to get over”

“Grr, you're just like your damn brother”

“Hmm, maybe a little bit” </i>

 

 

Inuyasha smiled at himself and only hoped he could do it again, very soon.

“She's mine Sesshomaru, don't fool yourself” he growled territorially and headed back to camp.
