“INUYASHA!” Kagome screamed in terror while reaching to her back for an arrow. “Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled while unsheathing his tetsusaiga. “There is no way to save your precious Kagome, Inuyasha.” Naraku laughed. Kagome turned towards Naraku. Seconds later his deadly roots impaled Kagome's fragile body. She fell to her knees looking down at her wounds then back up at Inuyasha faintly gasping for air. “Inuyasha, I…I'm sorry…I…tried. “KAGOME! No… I will kill you, you heartless bastard!” Inuyasha yelled as he charged at Naraku.

 

 

“Fool, you are no match for me. I shall take you out just as I did to Kagome.” Naraku replied as he sent his deadly roots towards Inuyasha. With one sweep of his sword Inuyasha cut through the roots. The wind scar was now heading towards Naraku. “DIE bastard” Inuyasha yelled as he watched the scar travel directly at Naraku. “I told you, you fool you will not defeat me” Naraku laughed as he turned and had Kanna facing Inuyasha with her mirror. “Now Inuyasha, you die” Kanna gently spoke, glaring deep into Inuyasha's amber eyes.

 

“No chance you bastard!” Inuyasha snarled.” “You fool!” Naraku yelp as he and Kanna were incenerated by the wind scar. “KAGOME!” Inuyasha yelled as he ran to Kagome's lifeless body. “I'm sorry…I can't believe I let this happen to you…Why are you so stupid…why didn't you just run away.” Inuyasha cursed. Tears stared to well up in his eyes, he then cup Kagome's body in his arms.

 

 

“What a fool. He couldn't even protect a human” Sesshomaru spoke as he walked towards a frustrated Inuyasha. “What do you want…I'm in

no mood to kill you right now…LEAVE!” Inuyasha thrashed out at Sesshomaru. “Fool I was just passing by, even if I wanted to kill you I could. I see though that this girl is dead…wow you claim to be strong yet can't even protect a mere human. How pathetic. You really are a

disgrace to all demons…no wonder you're a half demon…an outkast.” Sesshomaru spoke as he turned to Kagome's body. “I'm not a disgrace…I could have…Leave you bastard!” Inuyasha growled at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru then drew his tensiega and swiped it across Kagome's body.

 

 

Her body started to glow with a blue aura as the messengers from the netherworld were cast away. “There” Sesshomaru spoke then turned and walked away. “Why did you do that…?” Inuyasha yelled. But Sesshomaru continued on his way without a second thought of looking back. Maybe this time he won't screw up…In a way I feel sorry for that girl…entrusting Inuyasha with her life…so hopeless”

 

 

Moments after Sesshomaru left…Kagome started to breathe very softly…she peeked her eyes open gently, looking directly into Inuyasha's warm, golden eyes. “Kagome, I'm sorry, I should have protected you…you never deserved that…I wish I could make it up to you.” Inuyasha gently spoke as he embraced Kagome tighter. “Inu…Inuyas..ha…I'm alive? Its really …you? I'm glad that your ok…I…” But before she could finish, Kagome passed back out in Inuyasha's arms. “I'll take you…I couldn't bare to keep you in this condition.” Inuyasha said as he started off to a peaceful place for Kagome to rest.

The sky started to turn to dusk…The bright moon gleaming in the endless night sky. It was a quiet, calm night. A light breeze blew through the trees. Inuyasha stared down at Kagome…hoping and praying that she woke soon. He turned looking at the ground…cursing to himself that everything was his fault…it should have been him…not Kagome…she had nothing to do with Naraku. Tears started to well up in his eyes once more…one actually dripping down onto his knee. “Inuyasha.” Kagome faintly spoke. “Kagome I'm here for you…what is it Kagome?” Inuyasha purred gently turning back to Kagome, grabbing her hand softly. “I'm glad that you are here beside me…It shows me that you really do care about me.” Kagome said as she weakly smiled gripping his hand. “Kagome I never should have let you get involved…It was hard enough for me to lose Kikyio to Naraku…I couldn't live with myself if I lost you as well. You mean so much to me Kagome, I love you with all my heart.” Inuyasha spoke as he smiled back at Kagome. “I'm glad…I love you too Inuyasha.” She smiled back.

 

 

The morning sun started to appear in the horizon. Shinning across the many acres of The feudal Era. Proving that its not as bad as it seems. Kagome sat up looking over at a sleeping Inuyasha. He looks so peaceful…I'm glad that I'm with him. I know that He cares for me. Event though Kikyio still roams lifelessly around the world…he will stick by my side…I really do love him. Inyasha stirred as he turned to Kagome gleaming into his eyes. “Hey, are you feeling better Kagome? You look better.” Inuyasha said as he reached and brought Kagome into a deep embrace. “Inuyasha...I'm grateful to be with you.” Kagome smiled as she gently kissed Inuyasha on the lips. “Kagome” Inuyasha gulped while starting blush. “I...I” But before he could finish he cut himself off by Kissing Kagome back. He embraced her tighter and kissed her more passionately. Kagome broke the kiss and spoke “You know how long I've waited to kiss you…But I wanted to make sure the feelings were mutual. Inuyasha smiled. “Kagome I could stay like this forever…It feels so great to have you in my arms…Knowing that you really are mine”
