Chapter 3
Kazemaru. The Youkai of The Black Winds.

Michiru was sitting quietly at his desk, eating his lunch. He was enjoying his meal,
until he felt a familiar slap on his back. Michiru almost choked on his food.
"Hay, Kururugi." said Takuya. Tomokazu and Akira, gathered round Michiru too.
"Oh. Hay guys." said Michiru, with a smile on his face. "You’ve been in a good mood these
past two days." complimented Akira. "Oh. Have I?" asked Michiru. "Yeah." replied Takuya.
"What happened?" he added. "Umm, nothing." said Michiru, as he blushed. "Did you see you’re
girlfriend?" asked Akira. Michiru nearly choked on his food again. "Ha! Guess so." said Tomokazu.
Michiru girded his teeth. "Did you really?" asked Takuya. "Well, ha ha. Yeah. I did." replied Michiru.
"That explains it." said Akira. "So, are you going tell us what happened?" asked Tomokazu.
"With what?" ask Michiru. Tomokazu then grabbed Michiru in a headlock. "Oh come on Kururugi!
We’re buds! You can tell us every dirty detail!" he teased. "Sigh. Here we go again." said Akira.
Michiru broke loose of the headlock. "Wha..What do you mean "dirty detail"? asked Michiru.
"Come on Kururugi! Don’t play dumb! Did you get lucky?" deviously asked Tomokazu.
"Wha..what?!" shouted Michiru, as he gave an even redder blush then before. "You know what I
mean." said Tomokazu. "Did you "kiss and make up"? he added. "Umm, yes. I mean no. I mean, umm." sputtered Michiru.

"Calm down Kururugi. You don’t have to tell us." said Takuya. "Hay! That’s no fun!"
complained Tomokazu. "No, it’s Ok." said Michiru. Tomokazu started to get anxious. "Well. I met
her, and we talked, and.." stated Michiru. "And?" asked Tomokazu. There was a slight pause.
Michiru put his hand on his neck. "And, we hugged." he finished. Takuya, Tomokazu, and Akira
fell on their backs. They quickly stood back up. "What?! That’s it?" complained Tomokazu.
"Ah ha ha. Yeah." laughed Michiru. "Sigh. Man you’re hopeless Kururugi." said Tomokazu.
Tomokazu then put his thumb and index finger to his own cheek. "If it was me. I would embrace
her. Then I would say in a manly voice "Baby. Let’s never fight again.". Then I would give her
a passionate kiss, grope her butt and then.." "Get slapped, right in the face." added Akira.
Tomokazu fell on his back again, as Takuya gave out a heartfelt laugh. Tomokazu stood up, and
go in Akira’s face. "Oh yeah? Shows how much you know about girls!" shouted Tomokazu.
"Hay! I know plenty!" Akira shouted back. "Like what?" asked Tomokazu. "Like I tell you!" replied Akira.
They growled at each other, then started to stretch out the other’s face.
"Sigh. I wonder if Kagome has friends like this." thought Michiru.

Latter that day, the boys were on the bus, when Michiru’s cell phone rang. "Hello?" he answered.
"Hi honey!". It was his mother. "Oh, hay mom." said Michiru. "How was school?" she asked.
"Fine." replied Michiru. "Now are you sure you have everything, for your little sleepover?"
she asked. "Mom. Don’t call it that." said Michiru. "By the way, you sure dad is Ok with this?"
he asked. "Oh, don’t mind your father. You know how he is, with running the shrine and all."
she answered. "Yeah." said Michiru. "Oh, and Michiru-chan?" she said. "Yes?" asked Michiru.
"I think it’s very sweet of you, to spend time with your old kindergarten friend." she said.
"Yeah. Well, I’ll talk to you latter." he said. "Ok. Bye honey." she said. "Bye." said Michiru,
as he hung up. Michiru slouched in his seat. "Sorry mom. But I can’t tell you the truth about
Kagome. At least, not yet." he thought. Michiru lost track of time as he looked out the window.
"Hay, Kururugi. Wake up. You’re going to miss your stop." said Takuya. "Oh. it’s Ok. I’m meeting
someone today." said Michiru, "Oh." asked Tomokazu in a coy voice. "No, not her! Just an old
friend" replied Michiru. "Old friend?’ asked Akira. "Yeah. From kindergarten" replied.
"Kindergarten?" asked Takuya. "Yes." replied Michiru. "Ha! Whatever you say Kururugi.
Whatever you say." teased Tomokazu.

Afterwards, Takuya, Tomokazu, and Akira, got off that their respectful stops. Eventually,
the bus stopped near Higurashi Shrine. Michiru got off the bus, with his backpack, and ran
to the front door of Kagome’s house. He knocked on the front door. Higurashi-san answered.
"Oh, hello Higurashi-san. Is Kagome home?" asked Michiru. "Oh, I’m sorry, she already went
threw the well." she answered. "Oh, Ok thanks." said Michiru. "Nice to see you again."
said Michiru as he went on his way. Higurashi-san gave him a smile. Michiru was running to
the well, when a voice stopped him. "Hay who are you?" it said. Michiru turned to see an
old man with gray hair, moustache, goatee, and narrow eyes. He had on a white kimono, and
black hakama. He was in sandals, and carrying a broom. The old man walked over to Michiru,
and put the bristle end to his face. Michiru put his hands up. "Who are you. Why are you
trespassing on this shrine?" the old man asked. "I..I’m not trespassing. I’m Kagome’s friend."
answered Michiru. "Oh? Kagome’s friend?" asked the old man. "Yes. Yes I’ am." replied Michiru.
The old man was still cautious of Michiru. "Jii-san, who are you talking to?" said a young voice.
Michiru and the old man turned to see a boy with, brown hair, brown eyes, orange shirt,
blue jeans, and black shoes. "Oh, it’s you Souta. I was just catching this trespasser."
said the old man. "I’m not a trespasser!" said Michiru. "Hmm? I’ve seen you before." said Souta.
"You have?", asked both Michiru and the old man. "Yeah. You were outside, talking to nee-chan,
the other day." replied Souta. The old man looked back at Michiru. "So you are Kagome’s friend." said the old man.
"Yes. I’ am." said Michiru. "Well I’m sorry. But Kagome isn’t home right now." said the old man.
"Oh I know. She went down the well." said Michiru. "What? You know about the well?" asked the old man.
"Yes. Bye." said Michiru as he ran to the well. "Hay you!" shouted the old man. But Michiru was already gone.

Michiru climbed out of the well, and ran to Kaede’s Village. He was very excited. This would be
the first time, in a long time, that he would be spending the night in the Feudal era. He ran
right to Kaede’s house. "I’m back." he shouted. However the only person home was Kaede.
"Oh, Michiru. Welcome back." she greeted. "Hello Kaede-sama. Where is everyone?" asked Michiru.
"Kagome, and the others are out for a bit. But Sango, and Kohaku are next door." she answered.
"Ok. Thank you." said Michiru. He put his load down in Kaede’s house, and went next door.
He saw Sango, and Kohaku in their kimonos, sitting on the floor. Kohaku’s hair was short,
and black, and his kimono was gray, and black. Kirara was asleep, next to them. "Hi Sango." greeted Michiru.
"Hello Michiru." replied Sango. Michiru sat down next to them. "Kohaku, do you remember Michiru?" asked Sango.
"Yes. I do." Kohaku replied, in a quiet voice. "How are you, Kohaku?" asked Michiru.
"I’m feeling better." answered Kohaku. "That’s good." said Michiru.
"Aneue has talked to me about you." said Kohaku. "Kohaku.." said Sango, as she blushed.
Michiru started to blush as well. "Oh. What has she said?" asked Michiru.
"Well-hmm!" Sango put her hand over Kohaku’s mouth, as she gave a nervous laugh. Michiru just smiled.

Meanwhile, Inuyasha, and Miroku were watching Kagome, and Shippo playing in a nearby river.
Inuyasha was sitting cross-legged, while Miroku was standing up. "Ugg! You two have played enough.
Let’s go back." growled Inuyasha. "Oh come on Inuyasha. Five more minuets. Please." suggested Kagome.
"Yeah." added Shippo. "Ugg! Fine." complained Inuyasha. Kagome, and Shippo continued to play as
Inuyasha looked at Miroku. "Hay Miroku. Aren’t you bored?" asked Inuyasha.
"No, no. I’m fine." responded Miroku, with a smile. Suddenly, a cold wind blew by the group.
Kagome, and Shippo stopped playing. "Hay Miroku. You felt that?" asked Inuyasha.
"Yes." replied Miroku. Inuyasha look off into the distance. "What is it Inuyasha?" asked Kagome.
"Get your shoes on. We’re going back." ordered Inuyasha. Kagome put her shoes back on, then got
on Inuyasha’s back. Shippo dried his feet off, then hoped on Miroku’s shoulder.
They then dashed off to Kaede’s Village. "Inuyasha! Look." said Kagome. Inuyasha looked up,
and saw a black fog, drifting in the sky. "What is that?" said Inuyasha. "Is it the cause of the
cold wind?" asked Miroku. "Brr. It feels like it’s all around us." said Shippo.
"Let’s hurry." suggested Kagome. "Right." said Inuyasha.

Back at Kaede’s Village, Michiru felt a cold breeze. Kirara woke up, and started to growl.
"Did you fell that?" he asked. "Yes." answered Sango. They then heard villagers gather outside.
Michiru stood up, and looked out the window. "Something happening." said Michiru. Sango picked up Hiraikotsu.
"Kohaku. You stay inside." said Sango. "Ok." responded Kohaku. Michiru, Sango, and Kirara ran outside.
The villagers were looking at a black fog in the sky. "What is this commotion?" asked Kaede,
as she was walking out of her house. She gasped as the looked at the dark vapor.
"Kaede-sama. Do you know what that is?" asked Michiru. "I since a demonic aura coming from
that fog." she replied. The haze then started to forum. Kirara transformed, as Sango threw off
her kimono, to revile her demon slayer outfit. Michiru got in an offensive position as well.

The result was a man with long black hair, and purple eyes. He was clothed in a black kimono,
with sliver flower designs, and gray hakama. The villagers chattered amongst another at the site of the mystery man.
He just looked down at the villagers with a grin. "Hay! What’s going on?" said a voice from afar.
Michiru and Sango looked to see who it was. "It’s Inuyasha, and the others." said Michiru.
The heroes gathered around each other. "Oh. Michiru." said Kagome. "No time for welcomes Kagome.
We got trouble. Look" said Michiru as he pointed to the apparition."Ah, good. You’re all here." it said.
"Hay! Who the hell are you?" shouted Inuyasha. "I’m glad you asked that." it said. The man then
lowered himself, a few feet above the ground. He then bowed like a gentleman. "My name is Kazemaru.
I’m glad to make your acquaintance." he said. "What do you want from us?" asked Kagome.
"Simple my dear. I wish to test your power." answered Kazemaru. "What?" asked Inuyasha.
Miroku turned to Kaede. "Kaede-sama! I think you should erect a barrier." suggested Miroku.
"Yes. I agree." she replied. "Very well. Do as you wish." said Kazemaru. The gang readied
themselves for battle. They stepped just outside the village, as Kaede formed a barrier, to protect the villagers.

"I will let you make the first move." said Kazemaru. "Kah! Suit yourself." sneered Inuyasha.
"Be careful Inuyasha." warned Kagome. "Whatever." said Inuyasha. Inuyasha charged at Kazemaru, with his sword.
"Taste my Tetsuiga!" shouted Inuyasha. Inuyasha intended to decapitate Kazemaru, but when Inuyasha attacked,
Kazumaru’s neck became a vapor. "What?" said Inuyasha. Kazemaru just gave a cold smile.
Inuyasha jumped backwards. "The Tetsuiga didn’t work." said Sango. "Kah! No problem." said Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha! Let me help you!" shouted Michiru. "No! You guys stay back." shouted back Inuyasha.
Inuyasha readied the Tetsuiga. He concentrated, and locked eyes on Kazemaru’s aura, mixing in
with his own. "That’s it. The point where the winds collide." thought Inuyasha. Kazemaru just
floated there, grinning. "Take that! Kaze no kizu!" shouted Inuyasha. The Kaze no kizu darted
toward Kazemaru. He closed his eyes, spread out his arm, and reverted back into his wind forum.
The Kaze no kizu passed right threw him. "What?" shouted Inuyasha.
"The Kaze no kizu failed too!" cried Shippo. "Damn it!" barked Inuyasha.

Kazemaru revamped back to his youkai forum. He shook his head. "How boring. I expected more
from the ones who destroyed Naraku." taunted Kazemaru. The group gasped at the statement.
"How did you know about that?" asked Inuyasha. "Because, I watched your battle from afar." replied Kazemaru.
Inuyasha growled at Kazemaru. "Now. Since I let you attack first, its now my tern." said Kazemaru.
"Just try it!" shouted Inuyasha. Kazemaru brought his hands a few inches apart. He started to
shape his winds into a ball. Inuyasha just grinned. "What do you think he’s going to do?" asked Michiru.
"I think Inuyasha is preparing the Bakuryuuha." replied Miroku."Ha. Then this guy doesn’t
stand a chance." happily said Michiru. "Inuyasha..." Kagome said quietly. Small tornados started
to forum around Inuyasha, and Kazemaru. They stared each other down. Kazemaru let out a yell,
as his wind ball became a stream of black energy, blasting toward Inuyasha.
"That this! Bakuryuuha!" shouted Inuyasha. The Bakuryuuha and Kazemaru’s winds collided.
The mix of energy burst toward Kazemaru. Kazemaru’s eyes widen as the large twister hit him.
Inuyasha looked on with a large grin on his face. "He did it!" exclaimed Shippo.
The cyclone continued to spin around Kazemaru. Soon the Bakuryuuha started to die down.

"What? what’s going on." wondered Inuyasha. The others watched on in concern as well.
The Bakuryuuha vanished, and Kazemaru was unscathed. Inuyasha and the others looked on in shock.
"What?" Inuyasha said to himself. "Ha ha ha..You fool. Did you think you could kill the wind,
with the wind?" mocked Kazemaru. Inuyasha growled, then turned to the others. "All of you, run away!" he shouted.
"What?" said Michiru. "Just do it!" barked Inuyasha. Michiru just stood there. He felt someone
grab hold of his hand. It was Kagome. "We should go." she suggested. "But Kagome." complained Michiru.
"No arguments! Let’s hurry!" said Miroku. Sango, Michiru, and Miroku got on Kirara, while Shippo
transformed into a large bird. Kagome got on Shippo, as they all flew to a safe height.
They looked down at the battle in distress. Inuyasha was standing his ground, as Kazemaru was
preparing another wind stream. Kazemaru gave an evil smile. "I’m got going wait for you!" shouted Inuyasha.
He then charged toward Kazemaru. Kazemaru gave out a yell, as he unleashed his attack.
As it hit Inuyasha, Inuyasha felt his body being thrashed, and gave out a painful yell.

"INUYASHA!!!" screamed Kagome. Inuyasha lied on the ground, and the Tetsuiga reverted back to
its rusty forum. The others landed back on the ground, to check Inuyasha’s condition.
They circled around him. Kagome got on her knees, and grabbed hold of his hand.
"Inuyasha! Are you Ok?" she asked. Inuyasha let out a moan. "I wouldn’t worry about him girl.
I barley used 30% of my strength on that attack." slandered Kazemaru. The group gave Kazemaru
threating stares. Kazemaru folded his arms, and started to float higher in the air.
"I would like to make a challenge." proposed Kazemaru. "What?" asked Michiru. "In three days,
I will send one of my underlings to attack Kasasagi Town. If you can defeat him, you will come
one step closer, to have a rematch with me." said Kazemaru. Inuyasha let out a groan.
"Oh, Inuyasha." said Kagome. Inuyasha started to stand up. "You’re..not going anywhere." said Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha, don’t stand up. You’re hurt." said Kagome."Shut up! I can beat him!" growled Inuyasha.
"Until then!" said Kazemaru. He became his wind forum, and flew off. "Wait! Damn it!" cursed Inuyasha.

That night, Inuyasha and the others were regrouping in Kaede’s house. Kagome was tending to Inuyasha,
while the others were sitting around in a circle. "What was that thing?" asked Michiru.
"Was it a youkai, or some kind of ghost?" he continued. "I don’t think it was a ghost." answered Miroku.
"Then a youkai?" asked Michiru."I’m not sure. I’ve never seen a youkai like that before." replied Sango.
"It was a youkai." said Inuyasha. The others looked toward Inuyasha. "You think so?" asked Kagome.
"Yeah. He definitely smelled like one but.." he said. "But?" asked Michiru. "When Kazemaru was
in his wind forum, I couldn’t catch his scent." he continued. "Really?" asked Kagome. "Yeah." he answered.
"Hay. Didn’t he say that, he was going to send someone to attack Kasasagi Town?" asked Shippo.
"Yes he did." answered Sango."Then we need to inform the headman, as soon as possible." suggested Miroku.
Michiru sighed. "What is it?" asked Sango. "It’s..well..I haven’t even told my parents, about me
coming to this era yet, and now this happens." replied Michiru. A short pause filled the room, until Kagome spoke.
"Don’t worry about that." she said. "Huh?" asked Michiru. "We’ll work something out." said Kagome.
"Thank you, Kagome." said Michiru.

Kaede walked in from outside. "I think it would be best, if you all spent the night here,
and recover your strength." she suggested. "Yes. Thank you Kaede-sama." said Michiru. During the
night, Michiru woke up, and took a walk around the village. All he had on where his pants and
shoes. He made his way to the Bone Eater’s Well. Michiru just stood there, looking at it.
"Can’t sleep huh?" said a voice from behind. Michiru turned around, to see Kagome. She was in pink pajamas,
and pink slippers. "Kagome.." said Michiru. "Still worried about telling your parents?" asked Kagome.
"Yeah." answered Michiru. "Don’t worry about it. I’ve thought of an idea." said Kagome. "Really?" asked Michiru.
"Yes. I think that our families should meet, and we should tell them what’s going on." she answered.
Michiru smiled. "That’s a great idea Kagome. You’re pretty smart." he said.
"Oh, I’m not that smart, but thank you." said Kagome."Hay, I should be thanking you." said Michiru.
Kagome smiled, and giggled. "Well, let’s go back to bed." suggested Kagome. "Yeah." said Michiru.
