Secretly while everyone heads to battle, Kagome leaves the battlegrounds. Awaiting her in the deep cavern is none other than Naraku's aid Kagura.

Hurtling Kagome into a corner he retrieves his sword brutally wounding the fragile girl. Rin goes to Kagome's aid and carries her back to Kaede's hut to heal her minor wounds. She is not shocked by Sesshomarou's actions
