The next morning Inuyasha picked Kagome up as usual and when they got to school every one was on the after game high. Inuyasha was getting complements thrown at him in the hall way and the usual groupie of girls here and there.

Inuyasha was going to meet Kagome and the others at lunch because he had to go his locker. It was the perfect time for Kikyou to make her move. She walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, the moment he saw her face his turned to one of disgust.

"What do you want Kikyou?"

"I have something to tell you about your little girlfriend." She pulled some papers from her pocket and handed then to him.

"What is this?"

"Did you know that Kagome's grandfather owes about five thousand dollars in taxes to the government?"

"What?"

"Yep, you hold the proof in your hand, if the information got out her family would lose their home and her reputation would be ruined." She said sweetly.

"How did you get this!?"

"That's not the point, now are you ready to hear what you have to do to save her?"

"I'm not having sex with you"

"Please, that's not what I want. I want you to stay away from her, no more dates, no more kisses, no more touchy feely in class, no more talking to each other, no more relationship."

"If you know what's good for you, you won't tell!"

"I will, and she will be known around school as the homeless girl with her family out on the streets or even better, maybe she'd have to move away and you'll never see her again."

"I'll give them the money myself!"

"And I will still tell everyone and she will never hear the end of it"

"Why are you doing this!?"

"I see the way you kiss her, hold her hand, the way you touch her, you never did any of that for me. I suffered from the humiliation that you put me through when you dumped me and now I'll watch you and her suffer."

"You're disgusting." He said, his voice full of venom.

"Whatever. Now, I'll have taps on your phone to make sure that you two don't talk, my people will be watching her house to make sure you don't come over, and I'll be watching you myself in school, so stay away from each other."

"Why don't you have people watching my house?"

"I know your father has his own security guards around your house. Don't look at me like that I could make it worse and have you break with her in front of the whole school, but you can cut it off with her in privet."

She walked back outside to lunch with an evil smile on her face.

`It's going to be fun watching them look sad all the time'

The rest of the Inuyasha was in a bad mood; the only person he didn't blow up at was Kagome. She didn't know what had happened to him in the short time she didn't see him, but she wanted to know.

They stayed silent in the car while he drove her home, and she was starting to fidget. When she noticed that he was pulling into an ally way she got confused.

"Inuyasha where are we going?"

He didn't say anything just cut of the engine and sat there.

"Inuyasha what's wrong?"

"Kikyou came up to me in the hallway and gave me this." He pulled out the papers that she gave him and handed them to Kagome.

"What is this?"

"It's proof that your grandfather owes the government five thousand dollars in taxes."

"What!? How did she get this!?" Kagome asked in disbelief.

"I don't know, but to keep her quiet she wants us to stay away from each other. She says she has people watching your house and has taps on my phone, and she said that she'd be watching us at school. Kagome we can't be together because she will tell and your family will lose everything."

"Why is she doing this to us?"

"I don't know, some crap about wanting us to suffer like she did when I dumped her."

Inuyasha held his girlfriend as she started to cry, he felt helpless and that only made him angrier.

They finally let go and he drove her home. When they got to her house Inuyasha promised her that they would find away around Kikyou and be together.
