I don't have that much work over the weekend, so I'm writing! I can't wait until school is out, provided I don't have to go to summer school!

After a few failed attempts to get away from the noise, Inuyasha just sat in his chair and took his father's yelling like his mother and brother. About ten more minutes later his father had either yelled all he needed to yell or made his throat sore and began to speak nearly normal but still a little heated.

"I will not let this little girl threaten any member of this family. Sesshoumaru, you and I will send out men to dig up any dirty little secrets she or her father may be hiding. Inuyasha, you know I think of Kagome as my own daughter and we will help with tax repayment but until we stand on equal ground with Kikyou, you two must play her game."

"WHAT!? You mean I told you and I still have to stay away from Kagome!?"

"I know it will be hard for you two but this situation will drag our family name through the mud if Kikyou releases that information in the way I think she would. It will ruin yours and your brother's future, she can make sure that you are not respected when you two take over the company.

"Father is right Inuyasha, you need to think of he family also."

Inuyasha was about to yell that he didn't give a damn about getting respect only being with Kagome, but she wouldn't want that to happen to his family and would probably blame herself if it did.

"Fine. But I'm going to go call her and tell her this stupid plan." He got up from the table and went to his father's office to use the phone.

Raya couldn't help but feel sad for her son; he was being forced to stay away from the girl that he loved. She couldn't imagine what she would do if she was in his place, so she decided to help him any way she could.

The next day Kagome went to school, having to take her bike. The phone call she'd got from Inuyasha had been comforting but sad at the same time. She was glad that his family was going to help but she was sad that they would still have to stay away from each other for a while.

They didn't speak, didn't touch, and Inuyasha had even moved away from her in class and she could feel Kikyou's smile all the way from the back of the room. At lunch Sango and Rin would sit with her so she wouldn't be alone. Ayame and Kouga didn't know what was going on and just assumed that they had a fight, which almost resulted in a fight between Kouga and Inuyasha.

It was eating her up and she didn't think she could take it for however long it needed to go on.

Kikyou was enjoying the show those two put on for her and even thought she would spice it up and get the news going that they had broke up, now that would be fun to watch, she could just see the look on little Kagome's face if she had to watch Inuyasha fight off mobs of girls. She walked into the girl bathroom humming to herself thinking of more ways to play with them, completely unaware that her little scheme had a few flaws.

"Yes, Sori I would like to have you pick up Kagome from school alone and bring her back here, thank you."

Raya had just gotten off the phone with her driver, she would do anything to see her son smile again, even go behind her husband's back.

I think I need a nap; school has zipped all my strength. I'll try to put the next chapter up tomorrow but I make no promises.
