Sorry for not updating sooner guys but my mom let me open a gift early and it was the DVD of "Chicago"!!!!!! I love that movie!!! I've watched about 50 times already!!

I did write another chapter last night but my muse wasn't with that one so it had to be deleted. Lets see if this one floats.

Ayame had stayed out of school the next day to be at the hospital with Kouga, her mother wasn't too happy about it but she couldn't change Ayame's mind. Ayame wasn't stupid, she knew perfectly well that Naraku and Kikyou had something to do with what happened to Kouga and she was not about to let them get away with it. What if they tried something like this again? They all knew Naraku was after Kagome but it seemed like he was going after all of them, not just her and Inuyasha.

Then she remembered the joke that the boys had played on him that day at lunch, yes it was humiliating, but it was still no reason to try and kill someone and just the thought of her boyfriend dying made Ayame see red.

`If he dies I'll personally kill Kikyou myself and I'll make sure Naraku has his own little spill off that damn bridge.'

Ayame had watched movies and read countless books on murders and knew how to commit the perfect one, all it took was an ice sickle on a hot day. Simply sharpen the ice sickle and stab your victim with it, the ice melts and leaves no evidence. She could even make it look like suicide, normally Ayame wouldn't even be able to handle the thought of killing someone but under the circumstances she didn't have a problem with taking out the devil and his little helper.

Inuyasha was sitting in one of school conference rooms, he had been in class minding his own business when the principle came in and requested for Inuyasha to come with him. And now he was waiting for whatever and bored out of his mind. He had spent most of the day trying to consol Kagome, who was worried to death over Kouga and Ayame, Rin and Sango were too, so he knew Miroku and Sesshoumaru were having the same problems as he was at the moment.

Inuyasha had started to drum his nails on the table when the door opened and two men walked in, one was the principle and the other he didn't know but had the impression that he'd seen him somewhere before.

"Inuyasha, this is Detective Uhoshi." Now he knew where he'd seen that man before, it was the same detective that was at the hospital investigating what happened to Kouga. Inuyasha stood and shook his hand before sitting back down, the principle walked out and left them alone. The detective was at least two inches shorter than Inuyasha and his hair looked like he had put two hand fulls' of gel in it. He was a little round and had mustache that looked like a brush.

"Mr. Yumari, I'm here to ask you some questions about Kouga Noromi."

"Yeah I figured that much."

"First I would like to say that I saw your performance in last week's football game and it was most impressive."

"Thanks"

"So, I've heard from many others that you and Kouga don't get along very well?"

"It's a love/hate relationship."

"How so?"

"We compete at everything and he has this nasty habit of calling my girlfriend `his women', but in a sense I guess we're friends."

"Doesn't he have his own girlfriend?"

"Yeah Ayame, but he still calls my girlfriend `his women' and Ayame decks him for it every time, but you can tell they really care about each other."

"Mr. Yumari. Where were you at 4:30 yesterday evening?"

"At home sleeping."

"Was anyone else in the house with you?"

"Yeah, my mom and brother."

"Does your brother go here?"

"Yeah, Sesshoumaru Yumari, same hair and eyes, ya can't miss him, his the girlie one."

"Well, do you know of anyone else who would have had reason to do this to Kouga?"

Inuyasha nearly flinched at the question but didn't, he did drop his gaze for second.

"Nope, I figured it was just an accident."

"I'm afraid it wasn't, the brake line in his car was cut purposely."

"…."

"Well that will be all Mr. Yumari, I'll be in touch."

They both stood up again and shook hands before Inuyasha left the room and let out a breath he didn't even know he had been holding. What was he supposed to do? They had no proof on Naraku so it was hopeless, and telling the cops would probably only make things worse for them. That was the last thing any of them needed right now, they were all tense thinking that something like what happened to Kouga could happen to one of them next. He and Miroku had actually started using the alarms on their cars just to make sure that no one without the remote could come near.

Naraku had come back the next day after his plan with Kouga went through. Kikyou did an excellent job with the fool's car, to bad he didn't die though. But he still had two more to go, he would pluck Inuyasha and his friends off one by one then Kagome would have no one around to protect her from him. This had become personal from the moment she had smiled to him the first day he met her. Not mention physical when those idiots pulled that little stunt at lunch that day.

Now all he had to do was sit and wait for Miroku to walk right into his hands.
