To answer some questions, Naraku didn't technically beat Kikyou up; he's just a very rough lover.

Sesshoumaru scanned the picture into the computer and clicked the started button for the computer to determine how the picture was made. Naraku had to have pulled some trick to make this picture. Sesshoumaru had heard it was possible to make fake pictures but never thought anything about it, he thought it would just be a way for obsessed fan girls to make pictures of themselves with celebrities and flash around to their friends. (A/N: My friend's parents actually did that for her when they met J.T.T. and she did flash it around)

He sat back in his leather desk chair, legs crossed stroking his chin in deep thought. He needed to figure out why Naraku was attacking him, he couldn't know about the investigation he and his father are doing on him. The fool could be trying to get back at their whole family because of Inuyasha's stunt, no, that was not a good enough reason, maybe Rin did something? No, she would have told him and more tan that she wouldn't have believed the picture if she knew she had done something to provoke it.

He knew Naraku had been targeting all the girls lately, but why? The girls were not the ones who covered him with food in front of the whole school. Then it hit him, what better way to hurt someone than through someone they love? But that still didn't explain the picture and trying to ruin his relationship with Rin. Maybe he was just going after Rin because she was a friend of Kagome.

Sesshoumaru was up pacing around his office, but suddenly stood stark still.

Kagome, Kagome is with Inuyasha and Inuyasha is the only one that hasn't been attacked. If Naraku wants Kagome why is he only striking those around her? But still not doing anything to Inuyasha who would stand in his way more than anyone. Perhaps he is scared of Inuyasha? Sesshoumaru knew that wasn't the case at all, Naraku had no sense of fear so did not know who he should be scared of.

He hit on Kouga's girlfriend, avoided Kouga the next day at school and on the same day Kouga lost control of his car and went over the bridge and he ended up in a coma for a week and Ayame was shattered. The same week, the police were handed a bullshit story by an anonymous someone, of Miroku being behind what happened to Kouga and he was taken to the police station right in the middle of school, seeing what happened Rin went and told Sango, who in her rage, skipped school to go to the police station and give every cop in the place a piece of her mind. Miroku was considered prime suspect and watched until Kouga woke up and told them that he knew Miroku didn't do it.

Sesshoumaru had taken off his coat because of the heat he was stirring up with his pacing, and he knew he was probably no closer to figuring this mess out. Naraku had a plan and a way of thinking that would confuse anyone else, but he was Sesshoumaru and he did have a secret obsession with solving puzzles, this one was no different.

He needed to figure out why Naraku was starting all this chaos, but unknown to Sesshoumaru he had stumbled into the very reason Naraku had done any of it, to create chaos.

Kikyou was sitting at the desk in Naraku's room with the chair turned facing him so she could watch him.

"Are you watching him?"

"Yes, I have people watching both of them."

"Good, what are they doing tonight?"

Miroku pulled up to Sango's house and took a deep breath, why was he so nervous? He got out of the car dressed in black dress pants and a silk purple dress shirt. He walked up the steps to her house and knocked on the door, he was so nervous this afternoon while getting Sango's flowers he nearly picked up a rose that hadn't been de-thorned.

When the door opened it was Sango's little brother Kohaku.

"Hey Miroku, you're here for Sango right?"

"Yeah, is she ready yet?"

"Are you kidding? She's been hogging the bathroom all day."

"KOHAKU!"

Sango came down the stares just in time to hear the conversation her little brother was having with her boyfriend.

`Great! Now he's going to think I've been obsessing over tonight!'

"Hey Miroku"

Miroku was too busy staring at her to actually hear her. Sango was wearing a black dress with dark brown flowers and vines covering it, it hugged her body in all the right places. The straps were thin and the back was cut out in a `v' shape that dipped all the way to her tail bone exposing the smooth skin of her back to the world, her dress was made from extremely soft silk. Her hair was done up in showers of curly tendrils and she glossed her lips to perfection.

"Miroku? Hello?" Kohaku was waving his hand in front Miroku's face.

"Oh! Ah we should go or we'll lose the reservations."

She took the arm he offered and they walked out the door to his car, he opened the door for her and handed her the rose before closing it.

The ride was silent for the most part with only the radio playing light music. When they pulled up to the restaurant Sango nearly had a heart attack.

"Miroku! How did you get reservation at Devinie's!?"

"I knew you had been wanting to go here and I called in a favor."

"Miroku you didn't have to go through all that trouble."

"Anything for you Sango and it was no trouble."

He parked the car and quickly walked over to open the door for Sango. He was glad he had made her happy, but it wasn't over yet.

Kagome asked her mom to let her borrow the car and drove to Rin's house, she couldn't believe what she'd heard over the phone. Rin sounded awful and she wanted to make her feel better, but more than that she wanted to tell her that she had to have faith in Sesshoumaru he wouldn't do something like that to her.

Rin would need some serious pick-me-ups so Kagome headed for the store, she got ice cream and all the toppings she needed to make a sundae and then went to Blockbuster for movies, the only problem was she had to make sure not to get anything with romance so she went to the comedy section.

When she got Rin's house she suddenly thought maybe she should have gotten Subway, but it was too late now. She walked up and knocked on the door, the person that answered it couldn't have been Rin, this person was dressed in gray sweat pants and a big black sweatshirt and her eyes were red and puffy.

"Oh Rin." Kagome gave her a hug and they went into the house.

"Rin, I don't believe Sesshoumaru would that to you, you should talk to him."

"He hasn't even called, he doesn't care." Rin had that voice you get when you're trying talk and cry at the same time.

"Rin?" Kagome got wide eyed and looked over at her. "Rin, you don't think he's like hunting down Kikyou or Naraku do you?"

Rin got the same look as her and her jaw dropped open, she made a mad dash for the phone the hallway with Kagome standing over her shoulder while she dialed the number. The groceries dropped and forgotten in the kitchen while both girls cursed the phone for not ringing faster.

"Hello, Mrs. Yumari is Sesshoumaru there?"

"Oh, okay thank you bye." Rin hung phone and she turned to Kagome completely white and scared looking.

"Well! What did she say?"

"He's not there, he's been gone for hours."

"Not good"

They both knew it was it was dangerous to someone's health to make Sesshoumaru mad, Kagome had spent many afternoons dressing cuts and bruises on Inuyasha's body that he got from just wrestling with his brother while Sesshoumaru wouldn't have a cut on him. Some times Kagome would just ask him if at least pinched his brother while they were wrestling.

And now Sesshoumaru was out there and he was mad and they had no idea if Kikyou and Naraku were still in one piece.

"Kagome where is he? What if he's hurt someone? What if he's hurt? What if he ends up in jail?"

"Calm down! We don't know for sure if he's going after them."

"Kagome don't you remember what happened to that guy who kept trying to kiss me at the fair last year?"

"Yeah" How could she forget the poor guy spent a month in the hospital after Sesshoumaru was done with him.

"Lets not worry about this, we haven't heard anything and his mom didn't say he was in jail or anything."

"You're right."

"Come on before the ice cream melts."

Miroku and Sango were sitting at a table right next to one of the large windows in the restaurant. Sango had Shrimp Scampi and Miroku had Chicken Fettuccini, they were laughing about embarrassing moments they'd shared with their friends. Sango thought the night couldn't get any better until a man came over and started playing the violin right at their table.

After the violin player was done and they had finished their food, the waiter brought over the most delicious desert and one of the hardest finish in the restaurant. It was the Chocolate Tall Cake, a hug slice of chocolate cake in a very large champagne glass topped with hot fudge, a mountain of whipped cream and of course a cherry. They both gaped at it before looking at each other.

"Sango I think we better do this together."

"I agree" She picked up her spoon and they tapped them together before attacking the tower of cake.

A bell sounded at his computer telling him it was done checking the picture; Sesshoumaru stopped his pacing and walked over to look at the analysis. The computer's list said it was digitally mastered.

`So I was right. I think I should pay Kikyou a visit.'

It was no use trying to see Naraku, Kikyou would be easier.

Sango and walked out of the restaurant laughing and holding each other up, they actually finished the desert together but it still was a little too much even with the both of them. He helped her into the car and they drove down to the beach to sit and watch the waves.

But that's not what happened.

When they were alone down on the beach a group of guys came over and started making rude remarks to Sango, and being the person that he is Miroku could let them get away with that. But there was only one Miroku and six of them and with one holding a struggling Sango back it was useless. They beat Miroku until he was moving anymore then threw Sango down on the ground like a piece of drift wood and left without backwards glance.

Sango tried to wake him but to no avail, she checked all his pockets for his cell phone and when she found it she call Kagome, but she wasn't home, and then Inuyasha. Sango just sat next to her unconscious boyfriend crying waiting for Inuyasha to get there to take him to the hospital. Their perfect night was ruined.

"It's done? Are you sure you did enough?"

"Good, you will get your money tomorrow." Kikyou put down the cell phone and turned to Naraku.

"It's done, Miroku should be in the hospital for a while."

"Good"

Kouga's waking and telling the police that Miroku didn't cause his accident was a bump in the road, so he had to find another way to get Miroku out of the way. He was so close now to achieving his goal, Kagome.
