The last few days went by quickly, the Winter Formal was only a week away and the girls saved the rest of the day to go by dresses. It would be easier to do it all together that way they could tell each other if the dress they chose fitted that girl or not. The boys thought it was a waste of a whole Saturday; they didn't see why the girls couldn't just pick a dress and put it on.

Kagome was nervous but not because of picking the right dress, the night of the inter Formal all of her friends were counting on her to get rid of Naraku. Inuyasha still didn't want her to do it and insisted on being with the police he night they set everything up. That made her feel a little better knowing that he would be somewhere close by.

The only thing that could mess the whole thing up was if Naraku didn't show up to the dance. But they were betting that he would be there since Sango over heard Kikyou talking about her dress. Miroku talked his parents and doctors into letting him go to the dance, but on the condition that he didn't drink any alcohol and he couldn't even dance, but he would be in too much pain to dance anyway, but Sango was perfectly happy with sitting on the side lines as long as he was with her.

The girls stopped at the first store in the mall and looked around. Everyone looked up when Sango let out a shriek; she was holding up a red dress and looking at it with dreamy eyes.

"I'm going to try it on!" She ran to the changing room before anyone could say anything.

They all laughed and went back to looking, but it wasn't long before Sango came out acting like a runway model. The dress came down one inch above her knee, the straps were thin and were they met the dress there was a fake diamond flower that shined like it had been polished, the dress looked like it was made of satin and flared out when she spun.

"Sango it's perfect!" Kagome looked at her up and down.

"Now all we have to do is find you some shoes, unless you want to go barefoot?"

"That dress is so amazing I don't think anybody would notice her feet." Rin walked around Sango in a circle inspecting the dress for flaws, finding none she gave her thumbs up.

Sango changed back into her regular clothes and bought the dress.

"I found it!" They all looked over and saw Rin jumping up and down with a pink bundle in her arms.

"Go try it on." Ayame had to push her to the changing room because she was too busy looking at the dress to move.

"Do you guys think Sesshoumaru will like it?"

Kagome stared at her in disbelief. "How could he not?"

Rin's dress was a pink color that complemented her complexion, it came down to her ankles, and it was a silky material and the sleeves were three fingers thick, one set of sleeves were on her shoulders and another pair that wrapped around her upper arm right below the shoulder. Kagome looked at her with wide eyes.

"Rin! I know the perfect pair of earrings that would go with that!"

"Really!"

"Yep, I saw them in the window of the first store we passed!"

"Lets go get them now!"

Rin bought the dress with her mom's credit card and dragged Kagome out of the store with Sango and Ayame running to catch up. They walked in the jewelry store and Kagome showed Rin the earrings and was after the victim of a bone crushing huge. They were walking back to the store after Rin bought the earrings when Ayame's gasp made them stop. She was staring at a black dress hanging in a store window.

"Mine!" Was all she said before running into the store and asking the clerk to take it down so she could try it on.

She came out of the changing room beaming, the dress clung to her form and had a split that went up to mid-thigh, it had a dipped neck line and extra fabric sown onto the neck line to give it a riffled look.

They were now trying to find a dress for Kagome; it wasn't as simple with her, her dress had to able to handle what she had to do for the night of the dance. This was the third store they had been to and she was just about to give up hope when she glanced over and saw it, she got up without saying anything and took it to the changing room and looked at herself in the mirror before walking out. The dress was white with two splits that went up just above her knees, the neckline wasn't as low as the others and she felt that she could still move in it.

She walked out and stopped in front of her friends, they didn't say anything a she was starting to get nervous.

"Well?"

"Kagome you look so good!" Rin hugged her again.

"That's the one." Ayame was nodding her approval and Sango was just smiling jumping up and down.

After Kagome bought her dress the next thin to do was to find shoes, that took another three or four hours. After all the shopping was done they went to the food court and sat down to eat.

"Kagome are you scared?" Rin had noticed she looked nervous a lot lately.

"Yeah, I know you guys are counting on me."

"Kagome, we are not pressuring you, just do the best you can and I'm sure he'll slip up."

"Thanks guys."

Sango looked at her watch and cringed.

"The guys are going to kill us."

"What time is it!?"

"Six thirty"

"Me and Kouga are supposed to go to dinner!"

"Inuyasha was going to take me to the movies!"

"Sesshoumaru was going to take me to dinner too!"

"And I was supposed to go over to Miroku's for dinner!"

They all jumped up ran to the exit, thinking of really good excuses to tell their boyfriends.

Kikyou sat back on the bathroom floor. That was the first time she had thrown up. She still hadn't told Naraku that she was pregnant and really didn't want to, he would probably deny it was his. She had no idea what she was going to do when she started showing, but that was a long way away she still had time.
