***The Meeting***
Dammit, how could I have not remembered, Kohaku is always talking about her. I know that I will not make it if he finds me. Wait, no, this is Sesshomaru I'am talking about, he will catch me. And when he catchs me I will finally rejoin my family. Mother, Father, gomen nasai that I will not be able to continue our powerful blood line. I will see all of you again shortly.
As she senses the Western Lord, she quickly jumped onto a high branch of a near by tree. Just as she makes her landing, Sesshomaru enters the vacinity near the tree. As he calmly walks over to the tree where Keinahra is sitting she awaits the sure death that is to come to her. Just as she is about to transport herself he appears in front of her, making her lose her concentration and making her appear on the forest floor directly below from which she was standing.
Damn, he has gotten fast, and with that thought he grabs her by her neck and thrusts her up against the tree, and now they are eye level.
"What are you. You are not human, you may have fooled my ward, but you cannot fool me."
"Feh, Rin-Chan is not your ward, more like daughter. How dare you treat her as anything but. Matter of fact how dare you even say that she is anything but." she said with malice laced in with her words.
Eyes narrowed, "Why the hell should I listen to the likes of you. You are nothing but a coniving wench that has dared to harm Rin."
"I can't believe you are thinking so lowly of me, why would I hurt such an innocent young girl that reminds me so much of how my sister used to be. You know nothing of which you speak, Sesshomaru."
"You will address me with respect, and not as if you are familiar with me. Now tell me who you are or die."
Rin appears right before the sentence is finished, and stares wide-eyed at the scene before her.
"Why are you even bothering to ask me, I am sure that your daughter has already told you. My name is Keinah, and I expect that you are going to kill me anyways. So, shall we."
Not one to die without a fight, she twists out of his hold and into a fighting stance with her swords ready. And as her swords become visible, she knows she has made a grave mistake.
"What are you doing with THOSE swords. You will DIE for having those swords."
As he launched him self at her, she noticed Rin in the backround. Eyes wide now, "NO. Leave here now. Please just leave!!"
"Now you beg for my mercy, insolent wench." As he draws the poison into his claws to kill her, the last person he expected to be there screamed.
"NOOO!!! Lord Sesshomaru, please don't kill her. PLEASE!"
"Rin, go back to camp this does not concern you. She lied to you, and could have harmed you. Now leave."
"Rin-Chan, just please do as he says and leave..."
"I can not, I am sorry but I can't. I will not let you die because of me. Sesshomaru-sama, please let Kein...."
"NO, Rin-Chan, please I am begging you."
"How you dare to order her around is beyond me, but you will die either way." Just as he is about to deliver the killing blow, Rin yells out once more.
"NO!!! Let Keinahra-chan go!!!"
At Rin's declaration, he smells fear spike in Keinahra's scent. Good she should be scared, she has no right to be using that name. "You DARE to use that name. She has been dead for years. Now what is your real name. And drop that pathetic illusion."
She turns her head away from him with no reply, as she drops her concealment and shows herself to Sesshomaru. When she does this all he does is growl and tighten his hold on her neck. "Now, look at me, your appearance may fool most, but your eyes will tell the truth."
As she turns her face towards him, she opens her tear-filled eyes and looks at him. "Are you happy now Sesshomaru, you found me out." And with a chocked back sob she looks away again as he slowly lowers her down and grabs her shoulders.
"Why. That is all I wish to know, is why you hid yourself from me." He pauses and takes his newly-grown arm to use his hand and places it softly on her cheek.
"Why else, I do not wish to mate you. I want to find my own life and my own mate, I do not care about what my father promised yours. I will not mate you." As she was saying this she was letting her tears flow freely down her face, only to be wiped away by non other than Sesshomaru.
"That is no reason..."
"Feh, like you would've set me free from the betrothal. Admit it, you wouldn't have, just so you would be able to get powerful heirs. That is reason alone, most female demons would love to mate you. Even though it would be for the reason of a powerful heir and the status of Lady of the Western Lands. They would most likely over through you in the first place. Or cheat on you eventually. Now let me go."
"You are right, I wouldn't have. And you also need someone to help you have heirs so your line will not deminish. Now If I am correct, today is your 210th birthday, am I correct? And being half Dragon, you must find a mate by your 220th birthday. Or your line WILL be deminished. Also where do you think you are going to go?"
"I do not care what you say, and I can find a mate if I wish to have one. As for where I am going, I am going home." And with that she walked over to Rin to say goodbye once again. "Rin-chan, it was nice seeing you again, and don't worry about revealing my true name, I just wanted to hide who I really was. Especially from Him, but hey, maybe sometime He will allow you to visit me. Now remember, I live in the same village as Inu Yasha and the others. So make sure to visit me, okay. Ja ne." After she finished addressing Rin, she started walking away when Sesshomaru stepped into her path, grabbed her and formed his demon cloud.
"Rin, go back and tell Jaken that it is time to leave."
"Wait, Sesshomaru, put me DOWN!!! Just where the hell do you think you are taking me."
Smirking he replies, "You said you wished to go home, so now WE are going home. And as for living in my brother's village, that is over."
"Ughh, you baka, put me down!!" After a little more protesting she quickly teleports herself about halfway back to the village. Damn, I thought that I would never get away from him. Oh well, at least he is covered in blood now. Guess I gotta teleport the rest the way and have Kagome help me take care of my wounds.
