Chapter Seven:
All In
All In
"I think something happened last night."
"Nothing happens to you, especially at night." Sakura taunted.
Jubilee laughed. "You took the words right out of my mouth."
Ayame rolled her eyes. "It's nice to see you two finally teamed up on me again. What's next, you'll mock my eyebrows?"
"Nonsense, you just had them waxed . . . although does one look uneven--"
"Shut up," Ayame hissed at both her sisters.
They laughed and smacked hands. "Alright," Jubilee surrendered. "We'll stop, so what happened last night?"
"That's the thing . . . I can't remember. This morning I just felt so . . . so awkward. Something had to go wrong." Ayame explained as she stuck a fork in Jubilee's pancakes and dipped a fork-full of it in some syrup. "I was drunk, so I must have done something right?"
Sakura shrugged. "You were always a cheap drunk."
"You know I liked you better when you were a workaholic. Any ways, I'm not sure if I should be ashamed of anything"
Jubilee swallowed hard before slapping Ayame's hand away from her favorite chocolate chip pancakes. "Then don't be. If you don't know what you did, then don't try. It's as easy as that. And maybe the weird little feeling was hangover."
"No, it was more like . . . guilt."
They were interrupted by the waitress. She set their bill on the table. Jubilee grabbed. "My treat," She announced taking a quick look and walking to the register.
"You haven't told her have you?" Ayame asked Sakura.
Sakura shook her head.
"When are you telling her?"
"When I get the chance,"
"I find that hard to believe. You've had many chances Sakura, Please, tell her soon."
"I will." She argued.
Jubilee sat back down, tucking her wallet in her purse. "We'll, I better get to the office. See you later girls." She kissed her sister's cheeks and left the restaurant.
"Great, she leaves us with the tip."

"So, um . . . what happened between you and my sister last night? She felt like she did something wrong or something."
"I thought we agreed to go over a file." Kouga argued.
"And I believe you and my sister did something. You should know by now she's a cheap drunk."
Kouga rolled his eyes and sighed. "Nothing happened . . . she fell asleep before anything happened."
"And if she didn't fall asleep . . . would you have . . . done anything?" She bit her lip. Usually Sakura was never embarrassed. In fact, Jubilee got embarrassed before Sakura did, and Jubilee once ate a cheeseburger out of a trash can in the local WacDonalds. It wasn't even a on a dare, just to prove she didn't care what people thought of her, while every one taking orders stared in disgust.
"Does it really matter?"
"Yes . . . she's my baby sister."
"That's not it. Look Sakura, I stopped this whole thing we had for a reason. Let it go."
"Gosh, not everything's about you." She snapped.
"No, it is." He teased. "And to answer your question, I wouldn't have taken advantage of her like I did you." He sort of regretted that last part.
"Excuse me," She stood up. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Kouga pinched the bridge of his nose. "That came out wrong."
"What-fucking-ever, let's just do this." She snatched the file he was reading and skimmed through all the boring comments.
"You're welcome. I wasn't even done with that--"
"Do you really love her?"
"Mrs. Que, who's sixty and on trial for robbing her husband of half his money?" He asked, confused.
"No, I mean . . . Nothing."
"Oh, I know what you mean. Is our little flower jealous? This is pathetic Sakura; I can't even go through a simple case with you." He got up and went for the doorknob, only to be stopped by Sakura crushing her weight against the door.
"Alright, I'm sorry; I won't talk about personal things any more." She promised. She stepped away from the door and crossed her arms, waiting for his response.
Kouga waited a moment and then made his escape.
Sakura scoffed and turned her attention back to her files.
"I thought we agreed to go over a file." Kouga argued.

Ding Dong, Ayame slid open the door and opened the real glass one leading outside to the front of the house. She could already see Jubilee through the pixilated glass. She unlocked it and stepped out of the way. "What brings you to my hell mansion?"
Jubilee shoved a baggie of homemade cookies at her. "I just thought I dropped by."
"My god, you really deflowered your kitchen and baked something!"
"Very funny baby sis." She slid the door behind her and slipped out of her heels, walking her way to the kitchen, scoping the fridge. "Well, I know you by now and I'm hopping you caught on, am I right? Well, your right sweet heart, I want something."
"Money, a manicure . . . a pineapple house under the sea, what?"
"A room,"
"Excuse me?"
"I was sort of . . . evicted, if you get my meaning."
"Well the pure definition to that is out of on the street. What the hell's going on Jubie? Are you telling me you haven't paid your rent?"
"I just . . . haven't had the time."
"How the hell do you not have the time to pay off a small little apartment?" Ayame sighed. "I'll lend you the money. How much?"
"Three . . . hundred sixty thousand,"
"Tell me you mean pesos and not yen.." Ayame rubbed her temples. "I can't let you just stay here, it's not my home. However, I'll get Sakura to let you stay with her." She began typing it into her cell phone as a reminder. "Why couldn't you pay it off any way? Did you blow your last paychecks on Fendis'?"
"Something like that. But, I get my next paycheck tomorrow, all I need to do is collect more money and I'm good."
"Fine, but I'm still a little worried. Have you even slept? You look so tired." She pushed back Jubilee hair, and felt her head.
Jubilee pushed Ayame's hand away. "I'm fine mom, will you stop." She sighed and sat down on a stool she pulled out from under the counter. She bit her lip with hesitation. "I can't lie to you. Aya . . . I'm broke because of . . . dad."
"Whoa, our dad, the one who ran out on us? Jubilee that's not even funny."
"I'm serious! As serious as ever,"
"He asked you for money? How could you just give it to him after he did all that to us. He fed off mom till he left! Until I was eight! Jubilee how could you be so irresponsible? How did he even find you?"
"--He was my father too! And I wanted to see him!" Jubilee shouted louder than she had meant to. "I know he hurt us, but don't you ever wonder Ayame? He helped bring us into this world. He was our father. The only man in our lives that truly should have mattered."
"How can you spit that at me--how can you defend that beast? He's nothing to me or Sakura, and he shouldn't be anything to you either. You should have let him die with all the debts. He deserves it."
Jubilee struggled to hold back tears. "This is why I didn't want to tell you. I knew you'd act this way."
"How do you want me to act? He hurt us so bad and you want me to welcome him with open arms. I never got why cared about him so much, enough to get yourself evicted from your own apartment. When was the last time you paid your rent?" Ayame couldn't control the anger and pain gushing out.
"Why are you so cold?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe because I was forced to grow up with out father because of his mistakes. You're only going to end up broke and hurt. You can't possibly think you owe him anything, do you?"
"Of course not. I don't care what he's done Aya. He's my dad, your dad."
"He's my nothing. Just . . . I'm not even talking about this any more. Good by Jubilee, I'll be sure to inform Sakura you crashing with her."
"Fine," She swiped her purse off the counter. "It's impossible to deal with you. You're so stubborn." She slipped into her shoes and slid open the front room door. She looked back at Ayame who stood angrily, staring into space. She went over and kissed her cheek. "Don't you ever wonder why I turned out this way? Maybe it's because I never got the love I really needed." She whispered before leaving.
'How could she do this? How can she even look at that man without wanting to rip his head off? ' Ayame thought, her cheeks burning.

"You know, I just love a dinner where all I hear are customers and forks clanking against the plates. Isn't any one gonna say something?"
"It's a sin to masturbate."
"Well, that brings my curiosity down."
"Jubie went to see the man we used to call father." Ayame finally blurted.
"Oh so now we have one." Sakura added.
"Why are you two like that. It was my decision. I wanted to go, I wanted to see him, so I helped him out along the way, but you can't expect me to just stand by and let him rot. It hurts."
"As much as he hurt us--" Ayame began before being interrupted by Sakura.
"Aya, let Jubie be. If she wanted to see him then she has the right."
"Sakura, you know she'll only wind up hurt."
Can you two not talk about me like I'm not right here. And I’m older than you Ayame so don't talk down on me."
"I'm only thinking about what's best. I'd hate to see you hurt because of him."
"He still cares about you." Jubilee interrupted. "H even found your address. He wanted to see you, but he was afraid. He got as far as your door. He knew you wouldn't except him."
Ayame slammed her fork down and picked up her jacket, shrugging it on. "I'm not doing this." She stomped off.
"Great, she leaves us with the check." Sakura joked.
"Very funny miss senior partner."
"Hey, who's placing a roof over your head?"
'Unbelievable,' Jubilee thought. 'Why won't she let anyone in? She's so cold.'
'Why would you let poison like that back in your life', her mind fought.
Once upon a time, you could count on him to bail you out of anything. To sneak you a piece of cake when you knew for sure you weren't allowed to have any. He was the only man you need and wanted in your life. He was your father. The man that held you when you were so tiny. The man you trusted to scare the monster in your closet. But how could he chase away the monster in your closet when he had a monster of his own?
Ayame pulled into the drive way of her house, pushing hard on the brake. Her emotions were unbearable. Jubilee always knew how to bring the monster out in her. She couldn't blame Jubilee though; she had the right to see her father. But Ayame wished Jubilee hadn't even said anything in the first place.
She pulled the key out of the ignition and stepped out of the dark vehicle. Slowly pacing up the porch steps, she hung onto the railing and sat down on the first step, leading to the door.
"Daddy," She called, searching around. She looked into her mother's room. Drawers remained open, cloths drooped out of them. The bed was unmade. "Daddy,"
She cradled up in fetal position and began sobbing.
"Daddy," The front door was open and in stepped her mother, slowly closing the door as if waiting for something to happen. And when nothing did, she locked it. "Mommy,"
She whipped her teary eyes. "What's wrong sweetie?"
She shook her head. "Nothing." She fibbed, not sure what to say.

"They say it was supposed to show his grand emotion for his great love. A love he left behind him. I think it's beautiful."
"It's just a painting."
"How can you say that? It's so full of emotion, and beauty. Everything he felt he put into this work of art. It's so amazing."
Minoru and Manny walked to the next displayed painting in the museum. They'd been there already twenty minutes and they had begun arguing over the meaning of all the gorgeous masterpieces. She walked to the next painting, admiring every brush stroke and color. "No this one is truly a beauty. The Geisha represents such a picture-perfect girl."
Her heels stomped on the ground under them, dominating the current atmosphere. Jubilee rushed by the crowd of drooling, deranged, art fanatics. She suddenly felt herself crash into someone or something. She fell hard on the ground, the small amount of papers she had scattered. She grunted, frustrated. "Sorry, I wasn’t looking." She apologized to the high-heeled feet she only got a glimpse of. A pair of French manicured hands helped her out. She finally looked up noticing Manny. "Thanks."
"No problem it was my fault, I'm just so into art, I get a carried away." Manny smiled and handed her some of her papers.
Jubilee shook her head. "I'm pretty clumsy." She admitted. She noticed the person behind the mysterious beauty. "Minoru," She blurted.
Manny turned to him, and back at Jubilee. "You two know each other?" She offered Jubilee her hand. "I'm Manny." She greeted.
"Jubilee," Took her hand and shook it.
"So how do you two know each other?"
"I'm Ayame's sister. She's married to his brother, Kouga."
"Oh, right. Well it was nice meeting you Jubilee, hope to see you again." Manny waved, dragging Minoru behind her.
Jubilee scoffed. 'Well, how wonderful. He's moved on.' She teased herself. Not only did she have to work at the museum but she still had her job at the Sony building. Alls she did all day was some paper work and filed tons of boring things. She sat at the meetings and took notes for her boss, he was too lazy to even pick up a pencil, and all he did was listen.
Jubilee sighed and went off walking again. She slammed the bundles of paper on the front desk. "It's my break," She groaned and stepped outside, fiddling with her cell phone and sitting on one the large steps. Everything was perfect, it was her break and she didn't even have food. Not even a heresy kiss in her pocket.
She frowned to herself and tucked her cell phone away, resting her chin in her hand, her arm resting on her knee.
"That's it,"
Jubilee jumped, startled to hear a male voice talking to her. She looked around the entrance of the museum for the voice. She was almost afraid it was a past lover, most likely looking for some more.
A man with dark shaggy hair and eyes to match came to her view. Her mouth formed a large 'O' shape as she came to notice exactly who this man was.
"It's just a painting."
"How can you say that? It's so full of emotion, and beauty. Everything he felt he put into this work of art. It's so amazing."

"No, this is not expectable."
"Ma'am, it's all we have."
"I don't care if you have to get me paper plates, I ordered these three weeks in advanced! It isn't possible that you couldn't have enough fine china. I only got one hundred and I need forty more. Am I supposed to set up forty booster seats or let them eat on napkins while the grease of the salmon leaks through? I want forty by tomorrow at the office. This is urgent."
"I guess we could try to back track another order, we're sorry for the inconvenience."
"That's fine. And while you’re at it, add twenty more of each utensil and ten more chopsticks."
"But--"
The lady was cut off by Ayame's cell phone being flipped closed. She gasped and turned to see who it was. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Sukie's gonna tan my ass if we don't get the order of china and utensils by tomorrow."
Kouga rolled his eyes. "Cry me a river, princess. No business at the table."
"We aren't even in the dining room."
"Not yet." He yanked her up by the hand and pulled her along behind. "Just don't say anything and I'll do the talking." He suddenly stopped. “Let me see your gouge first.”
Ayame gawked and smacked him across the face. “I’ve never heard anything so rude and direct in my life–“
“I meant your head.” Kouga snarled.
“Oh, sorry” She took the bandage off her head and let Kouga look at. It was the cut she got from running into a building the other night.
Kouga sighed and but the bandage back on the small wound. He took her hand again. “Don’t run into anything else.
"With her free hand, Ayame fixed the bobby pins on each side of her head, pulling her hair back out of her face.
They had entered the very large dining room where Kouga's father was with a client and his wife. Ayame wasn't sure how she was talked into this whole thing. She was so tired of acting around every crowd. It began to bore her, she'd been so lost in every lie it seemed kind of funny. Keiji of course made it more obvious that the 'couple' had arrived. Ayame smiled and introduced herself, bowing by just leaning down quickly to show respect, knowing she really didn't have to. It couldn’t be a long dinner though.
"So what do you do for a living?" Asked Leigh, Ichiro's--Keiji's client-- third American wife.
"Well, I'm a writer but I also plan parties and weddings and do some public relations work on the side."
"You wouldn't happen to work with Sukie?"
"Actually she's my boss."
"Oh, interesting woman right? She's so mean and nasty but at the same time honorable."
"I'd say so," Ayame agreed. "How long have you and Ichiro been married?"
"Three months." Leigh squealed. "The best three months of my life. But I bet it's always like that in the begging. right? Promise not to say a word but, I'm pregnant. It seems like yesterday we just got married." Leigh sighed. "I'm planning on surprising him but I’m not sure. Any ideas?"
Ayame shrugged. "I think him finding out is surprise enough."
Leigh giggled. "You're funny. So, you and Kouga have been married for two years, right? Why haven't you started a family?"
That was the last question Ayame needed to hear. "We've been trying, but I'm just a little in fertile."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I had no idea."
"No, it's okay, since he's richer than god, I'm sure he'll find a hooker." She drank her water out od the nice crystal champagne glass.
"Oh, another joke, you're really funny!"
"Well, can't say I don't try, right?"
The conversation was interrupted when e men stepped back into the dining room. Ichiro sat down next to Leigh. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting did long," He said kissing her temple.
Leigh smiled and shook her head. "I actually enjoyed getting to know Ayame. You're a lucky man Kouga."
"Yeah well, I keep her on a leash--"
"And I keep him outside." She countered, glaring at him. Ayame swallowed the remains of her water and waited for the maid to fill it up again.
"No, it's okay, since he's richer than god, I'm sure he'll find a hooker." She drank her water out od the nice crystal champagne glass.

.xXx.
"We'll, it was nice meeting you Ayame." Leigh admitted. She hugged her one last time. "We better get going; I heard there's going to be a big storm." She explained, waving.
The maid let Ichiro and Leigh out, and Keiji was in his home office. Ayame waited for the door to close. "'I keep her on a leash.'" She mocked angrily. "And what is that supposed to mean exactly."
"It was a joke. And I do recall you saying you kept me outside."
"Only because you said you had me on a leash--if anything, I have you on one. A very short one, may I add."
"Oh, I'm willing to test that lie." He argued, stepping closer to her.
"Fuck you, I have better things to do then spend my time arguing with you Mr. Arrogant." She took her jacket and Baby Louis Vuitton off the couch.
"'Cause I'm right,"
"About what? You don't have me on a leash!" She whined. She stomped off toward the door.
"Come back here.” He ordered
"What," She said taking a few steps to him, then suddenly stopping. She fell into his trap. She pouted and stomped on the ground like a child. "I hate you."
The maid came back into the room. "Master, maybe it's a better idea if you and your wife stay here, the whether ought to get worse in a little bit." She suggested.
"Thank you, but I rather speed my way home than even breathe the same air as him." Ayame answered.
The maid nodded and headed out of the room.
"Oh, I'm taking this all the way to the house." Kouga teased.
"Bite your tongue, I don't want see you there."
"How unfortunate for you princess, but I live there too."

A/N:
See, this story is the one I've been planning out for a while, I’ll update this one more often ‘cause I’ve started it since summer. EEGH! Pretty soon I’ll have finals. I’m gonna have to work time in for studying instead of spell check.
The only one I thought ahead of time for. Well, I thank you all for your patience. Kisses from Allizaya!
This is a disclaimer which applies to An Autumn Fairytale and for that matter, the rest of my Autumn series (coming soon). I do not own original characters of Inuyasha that are included in the Anime/Manga series. I simply own every character not created by R. Takahashi. She just inspired me to write fan fiction and manipulate the beautiful lives of her interesting character. This applies to every chapter.
