Here's the second chapter! Enjoy!

Kagome and Sango work up early the next day despite the events of the previous night. They had hoped the boys would be up too, but that was asking way too much. They wouldn't be up till close to noon. Well InuYasha and Miroku wouldn't be anyway, Takahashi was always up before both of them. Sometimes it made them wonder if he ever slept. “Morning ladies. Sleep well?” He was crouching on the peak of the roof of their cabin. What is he doing up there this early in the morning? Kagome thought. “Yeah, we slept great. Thanks fo…” suddenly he was in front of her. Both of them gasped loudly. I wish he wouldn't do that. It's creepy. “Good.” He hissed. Sango gave him a strange look as he looked around skittishly. “Takahashi,” Sango grabbed his shoulder and he jumped causing Sango to jump back as well. Then a tired little voice whined innocently, “Jeez! Why so jumpy Tashi-san?” He stood quietly behind them rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Shippo! Did you sleep well?” Sango asked as Kirara jumped lightly onto her shoulder and nuzzled her face. “Yeah I did! But what's wrong with Tashi-san?” All of their attention was again drawn to the seemingly paranoid raven haired boy. “Yeah. What's the mater Takahashi?” He stood a moment longer before jumping back to the roof. “Don't you feel that Kagome? That strong aura? A demon approaches. One who is strong.” He went back to watching the horizon sniffing the air tentatively. Kagome look at him relieved. He may be stronger than InuYasha but he's a hell of a lot more cautious. But, we've handled demons before without this kind of worry from him. What could be the matter? “Yeah. I feel it now. But there's no need to worry. We'll just wake the boys and take it down like we always do. Takahashi? Are you even list…” “Kagome-san. Do you not feel the other presence? Surely you, the priestess, would feel such a powerful aura.” What is he talking about? I don't feel anything besides the demon. Maybe Kaede will no what's wrong with him. “No Takahashi. I do not feel it. I feel nothing but the demons presence.” She's kidding right? She's got to be kidding. How could she not sense it? It's so strong so...... far … mil … I …ar…… Quite suddenly, or at least suddenly in Kagome's eyes, Takahashi collapsed and began to fall off the roof. Kagome's only thought as she ran over to catch him was Don't let him hit the ground! He'll hit too hard! I `m not going to make it! NO! TAKAHASHI!

A flash of red. A scream. Then silence.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Silence. Kagome heard nothing after her scream. But nothing was a good thing. She jerked her head up sharply and took her hands away from her face. The sun blinded for a moment and her vision blurred from moving to fast. She saw a figure all in red. “InuYasha?” Her vision cleared in an instant to reveal that it was InuYasha who stood before her and with an unconscious Takahashi in his arms. “InuYasha! You caught him! Thank the Kami!” Kagome rushed to her feet and started looking Takahashi over. “I don't see what the big deal was. He's a demon ya know. Even Shippo could have survived that fall without injury… and what are you doing? He's fine! I caught him remember? Or is your memory really that sh...” “Ahha! Found it!” “Found what? What did you find Kagome?” “This!” She stood up holding a small clay bottle decorated heavily with runes and symbols. “Is that what you were worried about?” “It is very important that he does not break it InuYasha!” Kagome snapped, irritated. “Oh yeah? Well what's so important about it? I bet you just like it `cause it's pretty.” “I do not! And if you're going to be that way I won't tell you why it's so important.” “Hn...” “What was that for?!” “Nothing…” InuYasha snickered as he watched Kagome's reaction. “InuYasha! I would use that word if only you weren't carrying him.” “Hey! Maybe I should carry him around more often.” Kagome turned away from him carrying the vile back to her house saying “InuYasha! Just take him to Kaede's, before you…” CRASH! “OW! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!” “*sighs* drop him. InuYasha!” “What? He was squirming. It wasn't my…” “SIT BOY!” “AHHH!” A loud thump followed by giggles from the by standing Sango and Shippo. Noticing Takahashi sitting on the ground holding his head, Shippo walks over and pats him on the back. “Hey Tashi-san are you okay?” “My head is pounding… the presence …. It has drawn…so…near.” “ Oh Kami! The demon! InuYasha! Alert the village! A demon approaches the village!” “A demon! And you didn't tell me before WHY?!” “I was a little bit distracted!” She jabbed a finger a Takahashi. “Grrrr! You're so difficult to deal with sometimes. Ya know that Kagome. Oi, baka! Which way?” Takahashi lifted a shaking hand and pointed as he spoke, “To the north of the village.” His hand dropped back down into his lap with a dull thud. He was so tired. It would be nice to sleep again….No! That's just what that other presence wants! I can not give in to it! I am not weak! “InuYasha, you guys can handle this one on your own right?” “Yeah it's not that powerful of a demon. We can take him easy. Why? Aren't you coming?” Kagome walked away from InuYasha's side and over to the boy huddled in a ball on the dirt road. “No. I need to get him to Kaede.” Kagome picked Takahashi up and put one of his arms around her shoulders for support. As she walked away she turned her head back and said quietly, “And be on the look out for something else. He says he feels a strong unwelcome presence. I don't feel it but just be careful, ok?” In the last moment she looked into his eyes before turning to leave was something strange. Had it been jealousy? No. Certainly not. Who could he be jealous of? They had just reached Kaede's door. Kagome knocked twice before the door was opened by the old priestess. “Kagome? What..?” Kagome helped Takahashi into the room and sat him down on a bed. “When Sango and I saw him this morning he was acting all paranoid, even Shippo commented that he was jumpy. He went up on our roof and told us there was a demon coming to the village.” Kagome stopped and looked at the demon boy who obviously had some issues today. “Is that all dear Kagome?” She turned back around to face the old woman. “No. He also spoke of a very powerful aura and became distressed when he learned I did not feel it also. Kaede! Can you tell me what's wrong with him?” Kaede looked into Kagome's eyes. So concerned. But whatever for? Takahashi is a strong young demon, what is she not telling me that could make this so serious? “Kagome, what is the matter?” “It's just that the aura he spoke of … I am beginning to feel it as well. It is nowhere as strong as he suggested, but more like a pulse deep in side the earth it self.” “But I don't see how any of this has to do with his passing out.” Neither do I. May be if the circumstances were different I would have been able even to guess, but right now I have no idea. “Well lets take a look at him shall we.”

End chapter 2 sorry if it ends kind of funny chapter 3 coming soon.
