Disclaimer: I do own InuYasha nor Beauty and the Beast. I can only dream. I do own this writing, which means it's not yours. You steal, I kidnap you and sell you to Jaken to be his love slave. ::Jaken slides up to you and puts his arm around you:: o.O Would that be bestiality?
Kagome ran blindly through the forest, sobbing as if her heart had been broken. It had, though, in so many ways. She had loved InuYasha before she had even known what love was, much less who he was.
She tripped over a tree root that was half out of the ground, falling heavily on her hands and knees. She sobbed brokenly, sitting up and burying her face in her hands, unable to handle the pain lancing through her heart. She'd not even known him two days and already he was breaking her heart.
It was then she heard the bushes stir, and she lifted her head, sniffing. She saw the faint form of a wolf lurking in the bush, crouched down as if ready to pounce on her. She let out a gasp and began scooting backwards on her bottom. The wolf lunged at her suddenly and she let out a shriek, covering her face with her arms. She felt a strong breeze rush past and she lifted her head in time to see InuYasha rush in front of her and grab the wolf, simply throwing it through the trees.
Kagome stared for a moment, then began to shake. InuYasha turned to look at her, scowling down at her.
"You stupid little idiot, you could have got yourself killed running off like that!" She stood and threw herself at him, burying her face in his chest and wrapping her arms around her waist, sobbing into his haori. InuYasha blinked and looked down at the top of her head, afraid to move.
This was, by far, the scariest position he had ever been in.
In the span of a not even a day Kagome had been taken prisoner, found out the man she'd dreamed about her entire life was real, had said man insult her, been attacked by a wolf, and then saved by the hanyou she was quite sure hated her guts. All in all, her emotions were going on a roller coaster ride, and Kagome simply couldn't stop crying. InuYasha made a whining sound in the back of his throat, eyes practically crossing as he stared down at her, and Kagome simply clung tighter to him.
After a few minute's she had composed herself and pulled away, face red and blotchy from her tears. She sniffed and wiped at her face, keeping her eyes adverted from InuYasha.
"I'm sorry I ran away..." She said softly. InuYasha let out a weak feh, thanking every God known to man and then some that she had let him go. He turned away from her crouched down, making Kagome stare at him in confusion.
"Get on." He said roughly, and Kagome simply blinked. He huffed and rolled his eyes. "On my back," he elaborated, "I can get us back faster this way." Kagome stood there for a minute, then gave a slight shrug and climbed on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.
He slid his hands under her legs, holding her to him as he stood, and Kagome had a moment of dizziness, and was quite sure she was going fall off him. She squeaked as he took a huge leap into the air, sending them soaring above the trees. She tightened her grip on his neck and buried her face in his shoulder, for a moment afraid that she was going to end up tumbling off him headfirst and break her neck. When she realized that she was safe, knowing somehow that he wouldn't let her fall, she looked up, watching the tree's and sky blur around her into splashes of green, blue, and brown. She refused to look down, knowing she would fall off if she saw the very solid ground racing below her like that.
They soon reached the castle, and when they reached the front doors InuYasha stopped, and Kagome slipped off his back, her eyes fairly crossing as she stumbled, disoriented for a moment. When the world stopped spinning around her she looked at InuYasha, who once again 'feh'ed and pulled open a door, crossing inside without a single glance back at her.
At once she was attacked by Sango, Miroku, and Shippou, all of them crowding around her. Sango slipped an arm around Kagome's shoulders, Shippou leapt into her arms, and Miroku, being the hentai monk he was, tried to grope her bottom. At the feel of a hand squeezing her rump Kagome's eyes got wide and she gasped, using the free arm that wasn't hold Shippou to smack Miroku across the face, leaving a bright red hand print.
"You hentai!" Sango nearly snarled and thumped Miroku on the head, making him fall to the ground, his eyes swirling. Sango ushered Kagome inside, leading her to a sitting room, throwing open the curtain's over the windows when they had reached it.
Kagome sank into a soft chair, Shippou bouncing off her lap to go see exactly how much pain Miroku was in, and, of course, to laugh at him, while Sango sat in the chair beside Kagome's, staring at her intently. Kagome fidgeted after a moment of it, them Sango drew in a deep breath.
"What did you mean, this morning?" Kagome began to chew on her bottom lip, saying nothing, simply shrugging. "You said," Sango pressed on, "That you had dreamed of InuYasha your whole life...that you had loved him. What did you mean?" Kagome cursed her loose tongue, wishing she could sink into the floor.
"I..." She coughed slightly, keeping her head turned away from Sango. "I've had dreams about InuYasha for as long as I can remember." This time it was Sango's turn to stare.
"You've...dreamed...of InuYasha!?" Kagome nodded.
"For as long as I can remember. I don't know why. I just...do." Kagome flushed, looking up at Sango.
"That's...interesting..." Sango said faintly.
"I know you probably think I'm crazy, but...I don't know. I just do. I can't help it. I don't know why. He's just always been part of my life. I fell in love with him before I knew how to spell my name." Kagome said softly, her face bright red. Sango nodded, then reached out, taking Kagome's hand.
"I believe you. I don't think you're crazy at all. I think...I think you'll do us all a world of good." Kagome gave Sango a smile, and Sango leaned over and pulled Kagome into a hug.
And unknown to the two girls, a certain hanyou stood outside the door, listen quietly as Kagome spoke of her love for him.
A/N2: I'm sooooo sorry this chapter is so friggin' short! I'll make it up, I swear it!
