He rushed at her and swiped with his claws, she managed to dodge and kicked at him. With a side-step he dropped and swept at her feet with his leg, she was down. He went in for the final blow when her hands started to glow pink. A pink orb shot past his head and hit the wall. He took his sword out and pointed it at her.

Chapter 10
Koa opened his eyes slowly and waited for his vision to clear. As he looked around he saw Kagome sitting against the far wall with his Lord next to her. She was asleep with her head leaned against his chest and his arm was around her. He opened his eyes more fully and groaned as his sore muscle protested.
He looked up at Koa when he heard the groan. Carefully leaning Kagome against the wall so she wouldn't fall, he got up and went to Koa. "What happened?"
"I was coming back here... to report what had happened and I was attacked. There was hundred of youkai everywhere and I couldn't beat them all."
"What about Sitora?"
"She was killed while we were at the village. Something attacked her while she was out on a run..." His eyes clouded, "I was coming back to tell you... I think its him again..."
He growled.
Kagome opened her eyes at hearing a growl and saw Koa awake and his Lord standing over him. There was a strange look in his eyes, "What's wrong?"
He turned back to her, "Sitora is dead."
Her eyes watered, "No... Sitora..." She looked at the two and knew it hurt them as well. "What are we going to do? Who did it?"
"We have an idea, but we will deal with that." He turned back to Koa, "You get rest and recover. Kagome healed your wounds, you just need rest now."
Koa nodded, "Very well, but when we go after him I will be there." There was fire in his eyes.
"Yes you will." He turned and walked out of the room.
Kagome hurried after him with tears running down her cheeks.
He stopped and faced her. It hurt him to see her in such pain, and over someone she didn't know that well. He reached up and wiped her tears away, "She will be avenged."
She nodded, "I still miss her though..." Kagome leaned into his hand.
He sighed and pulled his hand away. "Come with me."
"Okay..." She followed after him as he led her through hallway after hallway.
They ended up in a large room without any furnishings.
"Where are we?"
He looked into her eyes, "This is my dojo... I want to spar with you."
"What? Now?"
"Yes, but hold nothing back this time. Fight for your life Kagome, because I will fight to take yours."
One look into his eyes and she knew he was not bluffing. "Okay... I'll need my katana."
He pointed to the far wall and there sat her katana.
Kagome picked it up and fastened it to her side, she was wearing a kimono so this would be hard. With a little quick thinking she used her katana to cut two slits up either side of the kimono, making it easier to move.
He watched as her legs were slowly revealed to him. Though he had slept next to her, he had paid little attention, but now... she was tempting him and she didn't even know it.
She put her katana back in her sheath. "Alright, let's go."

He went in for the final blow when her hands started to glow pink. A pink orb shot past his head and hit the wall. He took his sword out and pointed it at her.
Kagome smiled and took hers out too. With no warning he attacked, blow after blow was landed on her sword, she couldn't even attack since he had her on the defensive. She started to grow frustrated and pushed against him when their swords met. Using all her strength she pushed him off guard and swept her blade at his throat. She stopped with her sword pointed at his throat,
"Not bad my Lord." She looked down and saw his sword poised at her stomach. "Draw?"
"Indeed." He stood up and relaxed. "You held a lot back when he fought the first time..."
"You did too. Besides I was still weak from losing my powers." She put her katana back in its sheath and sighed. "I'm going to take a bath." Kagome walked out without waiting for another word.
He watched her go and resisted the urge to follow her. He needed to figure out what to do about Koa and their present situation.

Inuyasha tried to shield his eyes from the oncoming snow. A storm had developed and was making things difficult, it was nearly impossible to see and he couldn't smell anything.

Kagome sighed as she finished putting her clothes on. She always loved taking baths in hot springs, they always seemed to calm her mind. It was clear to her that she was getting closer to her Lord and she really didn't know what to do about it. She wanted to be with him but didn't know how long that could last, especially since her friends were coming to get her. Though she loved being here with him she missed her friends and family dearly.
She returned to her room and sat on her bed. There was so much that she wished she could figure out but didn't want to think about.
There was a knock at her door.
"Yes?"
It opened to reveal her Lord, "Come with me Kagome."
With a smiled she took his hand and let him lead her through the halls.
He took in her appearance and had to thank Kagura for laying out the kimono that she did. Kagome looked wonderful in it, it brought out her eyes and contrasted her hair nicely.
"Where are we going?"
"You will see."
Before too long he stopped in front of a pair of large double doors. He pushed them open to reveal a vast dining room with a long table with two places set on it.
She gasped, "What is this?"
"I wanted a special dinner with you Kagome..." He led her to a chair and pulled it out for her. Once she was seated he took his place across from her.
Several different youkai came out holding different plates with food on them. Kagome hadn't seen any of these youkai before and had no idea there were that many in the palace. They bowed as they set a plate in front of her Lord and her. Once the table was set they all took their leave and closed the doors behind them.
Kagome looked down at her plate and could feel her mouth water. She had never seen so much food that looked so good in all her life. Picking up her chopsticks she began eating as he did the same. She was slightly surprised that he could still use chopsticks with his paw-like hands.
Dinner was eaten mostly in peace, both not wanting to ruin the perfect moment. As Kagome started to feel full she slowed down and noticed that he had stopped completely.
She smiled, "That was excellent thank you my Lord." Kagome wiped her mouth slowly with her napkin and blushed as he continued to watch her. "What?"
He shook his head, "Nothing." As he stood up he set his napkin aside and made his way to her seat. He held his hand out to her and smirked when she blushed a deeper shade of red.
Kagome stood up and walked next to him. He took her to another set of doors and pushed them open to reveal a huge ballroom. She stared in wonder at the size of the room.
He bowed low and put one hand on her waist with his other in her hand.
They started their dance.
Disbelief was all that went through her mind. Up until now she never really saw the Lord in his mannerisms, but now she did. He seemed the entire Lord that he insisted on being called.
Now, at the moment, all she wanted was to stay with him, in his arms, forever. She felt safe and loved there with him, but she knew it would end eventually and she felt that he knew it too.
The lights in the ballroom dimmed as the dance went on. The room took on a more romantic feel and their dance slowed.
Kagome stared deep into his eyes and saw something that wasn't there before. There was a tenderness that his eyes never held and it was all pointed at her.
Their dance came to an end and he led her to the balcony out under the stars.
She looked up into the sky at the twinkling stars, it was all perfect.
He stood next to her and ran a clawed finger down her cheek.
Kagome leaned into the touch and sighed.
Slowly he placed his lips over hers and caressed her lips slowly with his. He pulled away slightly and looked into her eyes.
Her eyes darted down to his lips and she leaned into him and kissed him, initiating their kiss for the first time. She sighed and felt his tongue dip into her mouth. Kagome groaned quietly and tangled her tongue with his.
Both of his hands were now on either side of her face, keeping her from pulling away from him.
She wrapped her arms around his neck as their kiss deepened and took on a hurried manner.
He growled into her mouth and nipped at her bottom lip. Pulling away he couldn't help smirking at the blush that stained her cheeks. Slowly he sat her down on the bench before them.

The next chapter will be a lemon... so if you don't want to read it skip to chapter 12. Chapter 11 wont have any huge scenes or plot twists, just a lemon... Like I said, if you don't wanna read it, don't. R & R please!!
