It had been 3 months since Kagome started her training with Sesshomaru; they hadn’t kissed since that first night that she trained with him. Instead they took time to sit at night and talk to each other, which she found to be incredibly easy and she had gotten to know so much about him. He, in turn, asked her a lot about her time and what it was like. She trusted him more than she trusted most people now-a-days, of course she trusted Sango and Miroku but for some reason, Sesshomaru was the first person she went to talk to. Especially about her nightmares and the time she spent with Naraku.
The demon lord helped her recover, giving her words of advice and sparring with her whenever she needed it. The nightmares were frequent for 2 months, happening almost every night. After every nightmare, she’d wake up and stumble out of the hut she slept it, finding her way to Sesshomaru and the two would sit in comfortable silence until she got ready to talk about it.
This past month, though, harbored no nightmares; in fact, she was finally getting over what happened to her. The miko stepped out of the hut; it was another warm night in the feudal era. Walking to the river, she sat down quietly and curled her knees to her chest, her brown eyes gazing at the sky. Sesshomaru had been gone for a week, having gone to go check on his lands and palace. She felt herself missing his presence and their nightly talks, even just sitting under the moon like this in companionable silence.
A sigh puffed out her lips and her eyes drifted down to the water, she felt…lonely. “What was the sigh for, Kagome?” a cool voice drifted across her ears a few moments later and her head shot up, turning to meet amber eyes. “Sesshomaru!” she smiled at him and patted the spot next to her.
The demon lord looked down at the miko and quirked a half smile, walking over and sitting next to her. “You never did tell me what the sigh was for,” he taunted lightly. The miko rolled her eyes and shook her head at him, “just thinking, we have almost collected all of the shards; I think it’s just what we have, naraku’s piece and the ones Koga has in his legs, along with the one that keeps Kohaku alive,” she said softly.
“I thought that you would feel some sort of relief knowing that this battle is almost over,” Sesshomaru said, looking over at her. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that this shard hunt is almost completely over, I guess it’s just bittersweet because I don’t know what’s going to happen when we complete it and wish upon it,” Kagome said quietly. The demon lord held back a frown, “meaning, you may no longer be in this era?” he asked softly.
She nodded, “yeah, who knows what will happen since I’m not from this time, it may just shove me back in my era,” she looked over at the demon lord. “Aside from Shippo, I might miss you the most, Sesshomaru,” she said with a sad smile, leaning against his shoulder. “I would miss you too, Kagome,” he admitted, putting his arm around her waist.
The miko couldn’t help the smile that grew on her face when he told her that he would miss her, “I feel pretty special, the human hating, mighty Lord Sesshomaru, just said he’d miss me,” she teased softly with a small giggle.
“Believe it or not, I don’t hate all humans and I do not believe that I ever actually hated you, Kagome, you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time every time we came upon each other,” he told her, turning his head to gaze down at her. Her brown eyes met his gold, “well now I feel even more special,” she grinned and cuddled closer to his embrace. Brown orbs widened when his other arm went around her waist and maneuvered her into his lap facing him. “You should,” he said cockily, bringing a hand up to cup her cheek.
“I do,” Kagome said, leaning her face into his warm, soft hand. “Good,” he whispered, his hand moving to her chin, tilting it up just slightly. The demon lord leaned his face down and captured her soft, warm lips with his own, his other hand weaving into her hair to rest on the back of her neck. Her eyes fluttered shut immediately, her hands coming to rest on his chest and kissing him back just as softly.
Her hands moved from his chest up to his shoulders before her arms snaked around his neck to pull herself closer to him. While keeping his lips connected to hers, he maneuvered their bodies so that she was laying underneath him, his teeth gently nipping at her bottom lip to coax her mouth open.
The miko let out a tiny moan, giving him enough access to slip his tongue inside her warm cavern which brought forth another moan from the female below him. She tasted like strawberries; it was a taste that the demon lord could find himself easily getting addicted to.
Kagome let her fingers play in his silky hair, reveling in soft it felt. She was envious, no conditioner in the world could get her thick hair that silky and smooth. After a few moments, his warm lips left hers and her eyes opened. Her lips were all tingly, it felt like a dream. “I’m glad you’re back from your trip to the western lands,” she whispered, feeling breathless while her heart pounded in her chest.
The demon lord quirked a half-smile, but she was the only one that was able to make him smile, even if it was a half of a smile. His thumb came up to brush across her kiss-swollen bottom lip. “I’m glad to be back, Kagome,” he said, his silky voice sending shivers down her spine.
“We should get back to the campsite,” she said quietly, even though she wanted to spend eternity kissing him and laying beneath him. “Yes, I do believe you are correct, we have to go see the wolf about collecting his shards and gaining his help in the final battle,” he said. Kagome nodded and she felt him get up, taking his offered hand, she let him help her up and she brushed herself off.
The demon lord swooped down again and pressed his lips to hers in a gentle kiss. She smiled against his lips, returning the sweet kiss that only lasted a few moments. Reaching down and grabbing his hand, she felt him stiffen only slightly before his fingers clasped hers. She didn’t know when it happened but she knew now that…
She was in love with Sesshomaru.

It is called Waking The Demon (if you haven’t realized this by now, I like using song titles as Fanfic and chapter titles)
The pairing I am still thinking of
I’m thinking a threeway pairing with our leading lady, Kagome, and Yoko will also be a part of it. I’m leaning towards Yomi being the second male in this threeway.
It will be a long time before she mates either of them, I am going to keep her single as a plot thickener.
Warning: She won’t be the sweet Kagome that is in the show or in Begging For Mercy, I actually have her a little on the evil side.

Also, I am working on a new Sess/Kag, and perhaps a Mir/Kag fic as well, I have a good idea in mind for Miroku and Kagome.

Thinking about another Naruto crossover, I have so many things in mind that I want to write, it’s just getting it down into my document and playing with them all to see what I like best: SO if there is anything you would like to see for a Naruto/Inuyasha crossover, like a particular pairing, then I will think about it and see if I can work out a good plot.
