* * * * * * * * * * * Kagome's POV * * * * * * * * * * *

It had been a long day of cleaning, okay so maybe it was not that long. Prince Sesshoumaru had not come back, so I was instructed by Miroku of what to do. The children followed me around, that is what was so tiring. They seemed to like my attention, I tried to pay as much attention to
them as I could, but it was not that easy.

"I wish Sango-chan were here, then I could complain to her." I thought as I sat down on my futon

I was now in my room, Miroku told me that I could go to sleep now, and I was grateful. I have done this work before, but doing it all day with two hyper children was new to me and it would take some getting use to. I lay down, I did not bother to light the candles, I was tired and sleep sounded so nice right now. Just as I closed my eyes I opened them again.

"What was that?" I asked myself as I listened to the noise coming from my masters room

A moment later I heard a voice, it was Rin and Prince Sesshoumaru. I got off of my futon and walked to the door, I could just make out what they were saying.

"I like Kagome-chan, can she play with Shippou and me tomorrow?" I heard Rin ask, and I was afraid of what the answer would be

"We will see since she has done almost everything already." He answered the little girl to my surprise

Was he actually going to let me skip work to play with the children? This may be easier than I thought it would, but I would have to make up for it by doing more work tomorrow

"I'm going to go tell Shippou-chan!" Rin cheered, and a moment later the door closed, signaling that she had left

After she had left I could not hear any more voices, though I did hear someone walking around.

"I hope he does not come in here." I thought as I sat back down in the dark

He did not seem the kind that would wake his personal servant in the middle of the night just to get him something, but then again you could never really tell. My parents have done it before, wake someone from their sleep so they could get you a drink of water. The damn kitchen is
not that far, it is not like the walk would kill someone. I laid back down not hearing him come any closer to my room. He seemed to have walked away fro my room and to the window on the other side of the room by his bed.

"Good." I thought then closed my eyes, letting myself fall asleep, hoping this is not a mistake

* * * * * * * * * * * Sessy's POV * * * * * * * * * * *

It seems the new servant has made quite an impression on the children, amongst others. She has gotten praise even from my brother; he wanted to trade for her. It seems I made the right choice in choosing her, though I did not think that way in the beginning. There was just something about her that screamed "pick me". Her eyes. That is what did it, they were so warm, and expressive, they just pulled me in and would not let go. The other girls seemed submissive, they
looked hollow and blank, but this girl had a fire in her that I wanted nothing more than to unleash.

"She is different."

Not the most beautiful creature, but very attractive in her own. She seems to posses a different sort of beauty, not one you could see from just a glance, you would have to really look to find it, but it's there and when you find it, it screams for you to never look away. My soul screamed for me to never look away.

I just had a feeling that she would be entertaining not one of those maids that did everything that they were told without a single words expressing that they did not want to. I'll I ever had were maids that did everything they I said and that I could not talk to, not that I talk all that much but when the occasion that I do arrives there is no one here I can speak to. I suppose I could try and suffer through a conversation with my brother but that would just be like a punishment for me.

"Rin." I called to the little girl sitting with her brother on my bedroom floor playing

They had run into my room this morning, waking me up and asking an insane amount of questions about what we were going to do today.

"Yes Sesshoumaru-sama?" the asked looking at me with her big brown eyes, no wonder I could never say no to her

"Go wake the girl up. Tell her to get you two and herself breakfast, and then after that she is to take you and Shippou out to play." I could see the smile even before I had told her

"Is Sesshoumaru-sama going to eat with us?" I could see the hope in her eyes, but I was not in the mood to fulfill her request today

"Iie."

"Okay." she said then walked to the door that lead to the girls room

"I will meet you outside later on this afternoon." I said, not waiting for a response I walked out of my room

I did not want to see her this morning and I do not know why. It was her eyes I did not want to see, I did not want to get lost in them again. I have not talked to her and I am already hiding.

* * * * * * * * * * * Kagome's POV * * * * * * * * * * *

I knew it was morning when I woke up to knocking and a cheerful voice of the little girl from the day before.

"Come in." I said as I sat up rubbing my eyes

The door flew open and the little girl flew in as well as her brother.

"Sesshoumaru-sama told us to wake you up!" the two said while jumping around the room looking at everything, apparently they had never been in here before

"Okay. I suppose I should get dressed and get to work. What am I to do first?" I asked the children

The day before I had not gotten any orders so I did what I had seen my maids do, and apparently I did everything right because I had not been yelled at or anything, but today my "master" was here and I did not know if he had left orders for me.

"You are suppose to get us breakfast and then take outside to play." Rin said with the cutest smile on her face, she seemed to be thrilled with the plans that we had

"Okay then, let's get going." I said as I stood up, I decided to clean my room before I went to bed, that would just be easier in the long run

The children ran ahead of me on our way to the kitchen, they are so rambunctious. The other maids that we passed gave me dirty looks some glared at me so hard I thought that their were going to pop out or something. When we got to the kitchen just about everyone was gone, but
there were already places set for the children and me. We ate as quietly as the children would allow, they seemed to be fighting about what we would be doing when we went out to play.

"Why don't we see what we want to do when we get outside." I said trying to quiet them down a bit

They both looked at each other before nodding and saying "okay". Breakfast went by fast, but it was a wonderful meal. The children were quite pleasant when they were not fighting with each other, I had found this out the day before but I was reminded again today.

"So what would you two like to do?" I asked as we stepped outside

I use to spend all day outside when I was younger, but as I grew up I was not allowed outside anymore, but that never stopped me from sneaking out. I was always caught and punished, but I still tried. Nature was my way to escape my life in which I grew to resent and hate.

"I want to find worms!" Shippou shouted in excitement at the idea of digging in the mud for the night crawlers

"Ewww, I want to play in the flower field." Rin said sticking her tongue out at her brother

"We could do both, we have plenty of time." I said trying to break up the fight before if even began

"Okay!" they both shouted as they grabbed a hold of my hands and drug me to a mud puddle that was left here by the rain

We played all day, first looking for worms like Shippou had wanted, we found quite a few that would be perfect for finishing. Next we ran around in the flower field, only just now stopping to rest under a tree so that we would be shaded from the sun. Rin laid next to me playing with a
flower she had picked during our run, Shippou had already fallen asleep on my stomach.

"Can we do this again tomorrow Kagome-chan?" I heard Rin ask in a sleepy voice

"It is not up to me." I simply said, I loved playing with the children but I knew that I could not do this everyday

"But if it was?" she asked, her eyes closing half way

"If it was up to me then we would play every single day." I said as I watched her eye lids drop even lower

"Me too." Rin said right before she fell asleep

I closed my eyes after I knew she was asleep, I was so tired from the games and I did not realized it until I saw her sleeping so peacefully. Before I was all the way asleep I saw a flash of silver and gold, but sleep took me before I could even think about what it was.
