Chapter 2
Kagome smiled at him and took his hand. He led her into the closet and she closed the door. It was dark in there, but she could still see him. "Thanks for coming Sesshoumaru, it means a lot to me"

"I wouldn't have missed it for the world. It isn't everyday that you turn sixteen." He leaned down and in her ear whispered, "Happy birthday Kagome." He leaned back enough to slid his lips over hers.

Kagome didn't blush, no she was too old for that. She slipped her arms around his neck, fully intent on enjoying the kiss. When his tongue ran over her lips she gasped not expecting to feel that sensation.

Her gasp offered Sesshoumaru the chance to slide his tongue past Kagome's lips. He ran his tongue over hers and coaxed her into play. He felt elated that she didn't pull away from him and instead, fought for dominance over the kiss.

Unknowingly Kagome slid her body flush with Sesshoumaru's. Her hands felt their way through his short silver hair. She had always wondered what it would feel like to kiss him and wrap her arms around him.

Sesshoumaru drew back from the kiss and took in her face. No blush. When her eyes opened he smiled just for her.

Kagome returned the smile and massaged his scalp. She loved the feel of his hair and didn’t want to let him go. Kagome looked at the small clock on the wall and saw they had two minutes left. She leaned her head against his chest and sighed.

Sesshoumaru laid his head on hers, “I didn’t help Inuyasha get that shirt.”

“I know. I figured, but it doesn’t matter. I’m just glad you came.”

He smirked, “You think I didn’t get you anything?”

She looked up at him, “Did you?”

“Yes I did.” He pulled a little box from his pocket and gave it to her.

Kagome pulled away from Sesshoumaru and reluctantly took her arms away from his neck. She took the box from him and opened it.

Sesshoumaru turned on the light above them so she could see better.

Tears sprang to her eyes, “It’s beautiful Sesshoumaru.” Inside the box was a necklace with a blue pawprint made out of sapphire hanging on it. The chain was made of gold and shined brightly in the light. “I love it. Thanks.”

Kagome hugged him with a huge smile, “Will you help me put it on?”

He took the necklace and put it on her. When she turned back around Sesshoumaru cupped her cheeks, "It brings out your eyes Kagome." And he kissed her again.

It was short, but held meaning to them. Kagome looked at the clock, "Time to go." Then, she though about the other gift in her pocket. "Wait a second."

Sesshoumaru watched her dig in her pocket. When he remembered what was in her pocket he smirked, wondered what the pervert got her.

Kagome pulled it out and into the light. She read the top of the small item, "Oh my God. I'm going to kill him."

Miroku got Kagome a pair of sex dice. Instead of the regular ones with words on them these ones had pictures on them. She knew Sesshoumaru was smiling she could feel it. "Not one word Sesshoumaru."

Sesshoumaru opened the door and Kagome stepped out. They went to the living room and Kagome glared at Miroku. "I am so going to kill you."

Mirkou looked up from their conversation to see Kagome glaring at him and Sesshoumaru behind her. "What do you mean?"

Sesshoumaru had taken the dice before she went out of the closet. He knew if she walked out with them she'd get embarassed. So he stood back with the dice in his pocket and she was still holding the box her necklace came in.

"The thong was bad, but this is too far. I am so going to castrate you you pervert!" Kagome pointed the jewelery box at him threateningly.

Inuyasha looked at Mikou, "What did you get her?"

Before Miroku could answer Kagome's mom opened the door. "I'm back guys. Where is the mess?"

Kagome looked around, "Sorry, I was just about to make one with Miroku's blood."

"No blood, it's too hard to get out." Her mom made her way upstairs to her room and shut the door.

Sango noticed the box in Kagome's hand, "What is that?"

"Huh?" Kagome looked down, "Oh, just a gift."

Mirkou smirked, "So did you use my gift while you were in the closet?"

Sesshoumaru's smirk rivaled Miroku's, "Maybe we did."

Kagome smiled, "Yeah, it's nice being flexable."

His jaw dropped, "What?"

Kagome laughed. "Alright who is staying the night?"

Everyone was except Sesshoumaru as usual. While everyone was settling in for the night Kagome walked Sesshoumaru outside. He had driven here with Inuyasha, so he had a ride home. Sesshoumaru would have to come back to get Inuyasha toorrow anyway.

Sesshoumaru and Kagome stopped at the long decent of stairs. Kagome face Sesshoumaru, "Thank you for coming Sesshoumaru and especially for the necklace. I love it."

From inside the house Inuyasha watched them, wishing he could hear them too.

"You are welcome. Besides what are friends for?" He hugged her.

"I hope you never change Sesshoumaru"

He pulled away from the hug, "Never? Some would say I'm a cold-hearted bastard."

"Don't listen to Inuyasha, he was damaged when he was little. I like you the way you are."

He smirked at her and took out the dice he took from her earlier. Sesshoumaru put them in her hand, "I do believe these are yours."

Kagome looked down and groaned, "I don't want them."

"You never know when you may need them sometime. They may come in handy Kagome."

She swatted at him playfully, "Fine." She took them, "Hmph, Mirkou is a bastard. How did you get these anyway? And why?"

"I took them while you were cursing him and because I knew you would 'die' if they saw you with these."

Kagome smiled, "What would I do without you?"

"I don't know." Sesshoumaru made his way down the long set of shrine stairs.

Kagome walked back to the house whistling. When she closed and locked the door she stopped in the living room. "I'll be right back I'm gonna go change."

She ran upstairs and when she got to her room she shut the door. Kagome stripped off her jeans and shirt. Her bra also joined the pile on the floor and she pulled her pajamas on. Carefully Kagome took of her necklace and set it on her dresser. The sex dice were still in her pocket but she wasn't worried about it.
