Disclaimer: Okay, I'm currently sitting in jail. They say that the chick who owns inuyasha placed a restraining order on me. Said I was trying to kill her. As if. So I still don't own the series.

Lunabell: It's okay. I know for a fact that you're right. Actually the thing is that this is my first fanfic. I write stories and am currently working on a novel. I've read a lot of fanfics and I'll try to make the next one original. But this is not a sesh/kag fanfic. So keep reading. Thanx for your criticism.

 

Chapter 3

 

Kagome opened her eyes slowly. Her head ached. Where was she? She was lying on something warm and soft. What happened? She tried to sit up, but the pounding headache she received sent her head back onto the pillow. What the hell happened? Suddenly the image of a silver haired hanyou swam in her mind, and she gasped in pain and horror.

 

Kikyo, Inuyasha. They wanted to kill her. The love of her life wanted to kill her.

 

Tears fell from her eyes. A small gasp escaped her lips and turned into a full fledged sob. She sobbed hysterically. Out of nowhere, a small voice asked, “Why is pretty lady crying?” Kagome's startled cobalt blue eyes met warm brown eyes. The owner of those eyes was a small child, with black hair and a toothy smile. A girl, to be exact. Kagome wiped her tears.

 

Maybe she could tell her where she was.

 

Kagome smiled at her, and tried to sit up, this time succeeding. The pain in her head was dulling to a dull throb. She observed her surroundings. She was lying in a lavish room. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. A small table stood in the corner of the room, a writing table. The room had no windows, however.

 

The little girl tugged at Kagome's hand, demanding her attention. She was holding a flower and she gave it to Kagome. “Rin's name is Rin. What is your name, pretty lady?”

 

Kagome, now amused by Rin's antics, held out her hand almost shyly and spoke, “My name is Kagome. Rin, where am I?”

 

Rin laughed gleefully, “Silly, Seshoumaru-sama brought you here. You've been sleeping for four days. Rin thought you were dead, but Seshoumaru-sama said you were tired and you were sleeping. Rin is glad that Kagome is awake. Rin was bored. Now Kagome can play with Rin.”

 

“Rin.”

 

Lord Seshoumaru stood in the doorway, his powerful frame, blocking it. “Rin, go play in the gardens. I want to talk to the miko.”

 

Rin nodded happily and sprinted off to find Jaken and bully him into playing with her.

 

Seshoumaru and Kagome kept looking at each other. Moments passed till Kagome broke the silence.

 

“What am I doing here, Seshoumaru?”

 

The ever stoic lord, let a small smirk grace his features. “I would think that Rin made it clear that you were wounded. This Seshoumaru is certain that you are not that dense or did your head injury damage your brain as well.”

 

Kagome growled at him unconsciously. Who the hell did he think he was?

 

Seshoumaru was impressed that his brother's wench had the audacity to growl at him. She was really very fearless. She had never been frightened of him, even when she had first met him. She had fired an arrow at him She had insulted him. If he didn't know any better, she must have been a demon too. She sure acted like one.

 

“Wench, who are you?”

 

This jerked Kagome from her unceremonious thoughts. “What?” she asked, certain that she had misheard him.

 

“Are you deaf now too?”

 

This stirred Kagome's blood. “I can hear you perfectly well, you egotistic jerk!”

 

“I am going to pretend you didn't say that miko.”

 

To this, Kagome's sarcastic retort was, “Stopped referring to yourself in third person, Seshoumaru?”

 

Seshoumaru grinded his teeth, “You are trying my patience woman, answer my question.”

 

“I would, if I understood it.”

 

“Then allow me to explain. Where do you come from? I saw you disappear down the old well, and appear again?”

 

Kagome stared at him frightened. If she told him and he too tried to travel through the well and succeeded, he might destroy Tokyo.
