In the still of the night, two men talk quietly about a deal. One man was dressed in finery, while the other was dressed in jewelry. The man dressed in rags was on his knees. "I have nothing to give you Lord Inutashio and I am old and decayed, please have mercy. I must get home to my daughter, who is the only thing I have left in this world. The lord looked the crooked gambler in the eye and said, "You have nothing? No money no home, no food, yet you have a daughter. The crook's eyes opened wide in acknowledging his fatal error. He'd mentioned his daughter, the one and only thing in his life that loved him. He hadn't stopped to think of what would happen while he was trying to get over his wife's death. He'd been drinking and carrying on, now his daughter was at stake and he was at Lord Inutashio's mercy. He succumbed to his dirt." y.y..yes I have a d...d.daughter, she's very pretty too."

The man eyed him "she's 17, her name is Kagome Higarashi and of age to marry, but she refuses anyone who tries for some odd reason." The king thought to himself and a light bulb clicked, I wonder if she can tame my youngest son Inuyasha, so far no one has been able to get to him either, except for that money hunger Kikyo, after he found out the hard way how dirty she was, has been a hard nut to crack. If she can't tame him, then I don't know who will. The man watched the king to see what his decision would be. "Alright, I'll take the girl under one circumstance; you are to never show your face to her again, you hear that. To her you are dead. If you ever show your face, you will be dead and won't ever get the chance to gamble again." He held his clawed finger tip up to his throat emphasizing his point. " I..I understand sir" The Inutashio smirked "good." With that his picked up the girl and leapt away to his castle. The man looked on with slight sadness and relief, he allow one tear to fall from his eyes after he dozed off from excessive drinking
