Chapter 3~Revelations and Regrets!

"Why Inuyasha?? Why? Why did you kill me?" Kagome sobbed as she looked at the half demon she loved more than anything in this world. She still couldnt believe he had done it.

>FLASHBACK<

~~~Kagome had just hugged Yoshi, wanting to thank him for his help for her gift to Inuyasha. Thats when she heard it. A growl. She whirled around expecting to see a demon and call out for Inuyasha, but it was Inuyasha and he was in his demon form. Kagome's mouth hung open in shock, at the hatred in his eyes, hatred directed towards her and Yoshi. Then things sort of happened so fast yet in slow motion it was surreal. She opened her mouth to try and calm Inuyasha down, but before she could he had leapt up and pushed her away from the still crippled Yoshi. Kagome screamed when she saw Inuyasha grab him by the throat, lifted him up off the ground and dug his steal like claws into Yoshi's chest. The claws had immediatly punctured Yoshi's heart and he was dead on the spot.

~~~Kagome vaguely heard Sango and Miroku coming out of the hut at her scream, but her eyes never left Inuyasha as he spun around and picked her up by her own throat. She tried to speak, but he was crushing her wind pipe. She saw the hatred in his red eyes, a look of disgust and wondered about it, just before she felt a searing pain in her own chest as Inuyasha dug his claws into her own chest like he had Yoshi. Her mind screamed WHY??? I LOVED YOU INUYASHA! Just before blackness engulfed her and she felt pain no more.

~~~The next thing she recalled was waking up in Kaede's hut, a scream on her lips, but her throat hurt badly and no sound came out. Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kaede were all around her watching her, tears on thier faces. She heard a gasp and looked to her side to see Yoshi looking around wide eyed in fear. Then she remembered. Inuyasha had killed him, and her. Her heart screamed in pain and denial. She couldnt believe he would kill her. He would never do that. There had to be some reason, someone must of possessed him or something, anything she cried, anything she could think of to explain why the man she loved had brutely killed her in one swipe, eyes filled with hatred and disgust.

"Whee..Where is he?" Kagome asked in a croak, as she regained her voice, albeit painfully and still raspy.

"Do not speak lady Kagome..do not worry about Inuyasha he is restrained and will be punished for what he has done." Miroku stated with anger in his eyes. No No. Kagome thought. This couldnt be happening. Miroku wasnt supposed to hate Inuyasha. Inuyasha wasnt supposed to be punished and retrained. Inuyasha wasnt supposed to kill her. Yet he had. Her world had been turned upside down and she wanted to know why.

"I have to see him." she replied with resolve as she got up on her own, albeit a bit wobbly and headed for the door way of the hut. She walked out on shaky legs and saw Inuyasha bare chested, tied to a tree. He was bruised and cut and beaten. Her heart ached to see him in this way. But part of her was gratefull for the restraints. A part of her feared he would strike out at her again. This was a new feeling, one she did not like. She had never in her life since they met, feared Inuyasha, not even when she set him free and he had tried to kill her. She had been more pissed than anything else, but never affraid. But she was affraid of him now and she hated that.

>END FLASHBACK<

"WHY???!!!" she all but screamed at him, tears still streaming down her face. She saw that his face too had tracks of tears leading from his gorgeous amber eyes to plop down upon his beaten and bare chest.

"Ka..Kagome??...forgive me...I didnt mean to..." he stuttered as he broke down into sobs. This Kagome almost caved in on, for she had never seen Inuyasha shed a tear before in her life and seeing it now was breaking her heart. But she was still affraid and she wanted answers.

"Why Inuyasha?? Just tell me why?" she asked softly.

"I..I.." he began but couldnt finish. There was no excuse for what he had done and he knew it. Telling her would not make what he did go away.

"TELL ME!!" Kagome demanded when she saw that Inuyasha meant to not tell her. He flinched at her tone and looked up into her beautifull eyes. She deserved to know. She deserved to hate him and wish him dead.

"I..was jealous." he whispered, but she heard him.

"Jealous?? of what?" she asked in total surprise.

"I watched you that first night..saw you sneak out of Kaede's hut and into Yoshi's...I watched you doing it night after night when you thought everyone was asleep and I was gone in the forest...and during the day...you avoided me and blushed when ever you heard his name mentioned...It hurt to know you went to him at night..wanted him over me...it hurt alot..and that made me angry...then tonight..I saw you hugging him...I knew I had lost you to another and I couldnt take it anymore..the pain..the betrayal..the ache in my chest...I snapped...I tried to call it back..I swear I did..but it took over...my demon half took over...the next thing I remember is waking up next to your lifeless body with your blood on my hands." Inuyasha explained with grief and regret.

~~~Kagome looked at him as if he had grown two heads. Her face went pale and the life seemed to leave her body as she stood there looking at him as if she didnt know him at all. When she spoke, there was no emotion in her voice. The spark of life in her seemed to have vanished, leaving just a shell of herself in its place.

"I didnt know you saw me..I..I wanted it to be a surprise...I was worried about you...in most of our more serious battles you always get hurt badly by some punch or weapon being torn threw your chest...Yoshi told me about a potion a witch had shared with him two years ago...with the right mix of herbs and care the potion would of made your fire rat clothes invincible....you wouldnt get hurt so much anymore...I wanted to surprise you...so I didnt tell anyone...I would sneak into Yoshi's hut at night to mix the herbs...as payment for the secret of the potion Yoshi asked that I tell him stories of my time the future...So I would stay with him at night and work on the potion as I told him stories of my time..sometimes I would sew some of his ripped clothing as I waited for the ingrediants to blend and seep....not once did he ever make a move towards me other than friendship and I never saw him as anything else but a friend...when ever his name was mentioned I blushed because I thought of you and the surprise I would be giving you soon...If..If you had only just asked me that first night..I would of told you...I wouldnt of kept it a secret from you Inuyasha if you had asked point blank...instead you killed me because you thought that I was making out with Yoshi?...all this time....all this time ive watched you go to Kikyo and never once did I wish you harm...it hurt and angered me when you went to her...but I still loved you...promised to stay by your side no matter what...and loved you from afar...but you....you see me with Yoshi and think the worst of me? Then kill me for it?...How could you Inuyasha? How could you?" she asked in that lifeless tone of voice and inside Inuyasha was being torn in half.

~~~Kagome turned on her heel and without a word or look to anyone walked straight thru the forest. Everyone knew where she was going and no one tried to stop her. She was going back to her own time, back to the well. Inuyasha closed his eyes and wished for death. He had been sooooooooo wrong. Kagome hadnt betrayed him. She didnt want Yoshi. She had wanted him all along. She had been doing something for him, something to keep him safer because she loved him. The pain in his heart and soul was unbearable. The guilt the regret sliced at him like nothing he had ever felt before. He was such a fuckin moron! He wanted to die a million times over and feel each and every painfull death so that he could pay for his horrible crime towards the woman he loved. But he could never atone for what he had done. He had done the unthinkable. The unforgettable and unforgivable.

~~~The last thing Kagome heard as she leapt into the well was Inuyasha's pained filled voice ringing in the dark forest that bore his name. She heard the pain, the anguish, the regret and sorrow, but at the moment she just didnt care. But the sound of his voice as she fell threw the well still rung in her head.

"KAGOOOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!.......IM SOOOOORRRRYYYYYY!!!!........I LOVEEEEEE YOUUUUUUU!.....KAGOMEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A/N~Okies what do you think yall? Did I explain things right? Did my explanation of why Kagome was sneaking off with Yoshi and blushing make sense to you guys?? let me know k?? and no not over yet..theres still much to be written..well not much but more..lol..would love to know what ya think..does it suck or what?? lol..lemme know till laters huggles and smiles Mija..:-)
