A loud crashing noise came, and she heard a familiar voice.

"Get the hell off of her!! Tetsusaiga!!"

Kagome managed to flinch when she heard the sudden noise and shut her eyes hard, waiting for it all to pass.

After a few minutes of yelling and thrashing, there was a sudden silence.

Kagome opened her eyes and focused her vision on the figure that was standing before her.

"I-I..nu... ya-...yasha..." She managed a smile, and two tears trickled down her face.

Inuyasha let out a ragged half gasp, half breath...

"Kagome...!" He bent down next to her and looked over her body in complete disgust, worry, fear, and shame...

How did I let this happen?!

He wanted to embrace her, to scream apologies at her over and over again, but he would hurt her... her bandages that he had put on her were ripped to shreds, most of her clothes were ripped... what had he let happen?!

He leaned down and cradled her head in his arms, gently running his fingers through her hair and whispering apologies to her.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry... sorry... I'm sorry!" He repeated over and over.

Kagome cried in his arms, flinching at the pain she felt when she breathed.

He pressed his cheek against her's, and to her surprise, she felt his tears drop upon her skin. She managed to lift her arms and cradle his head as well.

"It... It's... o-...okay..." She managed to sputter between the pain and tears.

"No, no, no it's not! I should've been here, I don't know why I left you alone!" He replied.

After a few moments of staying that position Inuyasha finally sat up, and blinked away his tears. He couldn't stand to see her like this. He gently and cautiously pulled her panties back up her legs, and got her skirt and put it back on her as well.

Kagome kept her arms over her breasts.

Inuyasha looked around, and noticed her shirt...

He looked back at her and said, "I'll give you something to wear... but first I have to bandage up your wounds..." He told her reluctantly.

She nodded sadly.

Inuyasha got more of the bandage wrap Kagome had in her bag, and went back over to her, bending down to replace the bandages.

"I'm sorry... this'll sting really bad..." He said sadly.

Kagome was ready, though.

He carefully sat her up, and flinched when he heard her gasp and shake in pain. She then grasped the soft, wet ground with her hands and did her best to face the pain.

"I need you to sit up straight..." He told her, biting his bottom lip. He didn't want to see her in such pain... it must've hurt her so badly...

Kagome did her best to sit up straight with some temporary support from Inuyasha.

Inuyasha quickly took the bandage and carefully wrapped it around her wounds. She screamed once in pain, squinting her eyes and clenching her teeth, and Inuyasha apologized for it.

After her wound was re-bandaged, Inuyasha took of his haori and wrapped it around her, and then lay her back down.

He sat next to her, looking at her sweating form and her ragged breathing.

Those bastards! I can't believe I let this happen! How can she love me...?

"I'm so sorry I let this happen to you..." He whispered to her sadly.

Kagome looked up at him, lifting her arm and gently caressing his face.

"It's... all right... really..." She smiled.

How can she smile at a time like this? How can she forgive me?

He placed his hand upon her's as he felt her hand begin to tremble upon his face.

"Inuyasha..." She whispered, and let her hand drop back down to her side.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Hold me..." She replied hopefully.

Inuyasha was surprised...

"A-aren't you pain?" He asked.

She nodded.

"B-but... I still want you to hold me..." She repeated.

"Are you sure?"

She nodded.

Inuyasha was careful, and leaned down and sat her up. She winced.

He wasn't sure how to hold her without hurting her.

Kagome managed to get herself to sit on her knees, while Inuyasha kept near just incase she fell back down.

"Kagome, I really think you should just lie down..." He said, worried about how this was affecting her wound.

"I... I'm okay..." She assured, although it was hell just trying to sit on her knees.

Once she was on her knees she immediately felt like she needed support, or she was just going to fall right back down.

Inuyasha was on his knees in front of her, only a mere inch from her body.

Kagome finally couldn't support herself anymore and fell forward into his arms.

Her head rested on his shoulder and Inuyasha held her gently and close.

"We need to carry you back to camp..." Inuyasha whispered.

Kagome nodded, and he stood up with her still holding onto him.

He then put one arm under her neck, and the other under her knees and picked her up. She cried out in pain.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered.
